Best match so far this year?

As we are nearly half way through this year already, what has been your favourite match so far? I think there has not been many in comparison to previous years, but here are some of my favourites:

 

>Chris Benoit vs. Kurt Angle @ the Royal Rumble: Probably my favourite overall. Just an excellent technical battle, amazing submission counters and suplexes being executed left, right and centre. Benoits diving headbutt 3/4 of the way across the ring was incredible too. This match made the Royal Rumble PPV worth watching.

 

>Brock Lesnar vs. Kurt Angle @ Wrestlemania: Although fairly short (although for good reason due to Angles injury) this was still an excellent battle, Kurt risked his life out there to entertain the fans, and took some pretty risky bumps. If the SSP had hit, it would of made the match even better, but as it stands, it was still an excellent bout.

 

>Shawn Micheals vs. Chris Jericho @ Wrestlemania: Another great match, fast paced with Jericho looking especially good, carrying Shawn to a classic battle. I loved Jericho doing the Sweet Chin Music and mimicking Micheals moveset, and if Jericho had gotten a clean win here it would of been even better.

No doubt Angle vs Benoit simply a fantastic match between two great performers possibly Angle and Benoit's best matchs

I think those 3 Peter said are the WWE's best three this year. My favourite was Benoit against Angle at the Royal Rumble. Awesome, awesome match.

Shawn Michaels v Chris Jericho

Two of my biggest heroes of all time just going at it. Fast paced, energetic, and with it all. Nothing beats it for me. I totally had low expectations for it and it blew everything I thought out of the water. Both men earned a new respect from me.

 

Raven v Sandman - Clockwork Orange House of Fun

Something new and fun. Been a long time since I saw something ECW-esque, and since Raven was in there, couldn't complain at all. Top match.

My 2 favourite WWE matches were Benoit v Angle, and Jericho v HBK, then taking puro into account, has to be Kobashi v Misawa.

I've got to agree Micheals/Jericho was really good, with both men being favs of mine, but the best so far is Angle/Benoit for sure from the Royal Rumble it was simply a class match. Excellent!

I think that so far this year the best match was HBK vs Chris jericho @ Mania. It showed that Y2J has the talent to go with the big boys, and also that Shawn micheals aint passed it just yet.

I'm gonna say Shawn Michaels v Chris Jericho as well.

 

Good build up stemming from the end of 2002 and a great match as well. Only problem I have with it is the wrong man going over :mad

I'd go with Jericho V HBK too, that was a great match despite the finish, other than that, any match involving Angle/Lesner/Benoit is a match of the year contender.

 

Is no one going to go for, Jamie Noble V Brain Kendrick?

Lesner Vs Angle, i cant remember but i know theres other matchs that I enjoyed,some match withy cena against lesner on smackdown i thought was pretty good

I'm going to go for Angle Vs Benoit, a simply awesome match. Yet I am still wondering how the hell I enjoyed McMahon Vs Hogan so much at WrestleMania. However, it's not enough to sway me.

I thought Hogan and Vince match at WrestleMania XIX was good - intense storytelling coupled with Vince's hammy expressions and his evil look mixed with a cartoon character.

May favorite match so far has been Jericho vs. HBK at Wrestlemania, but I also like the Team Angle vs. Tajiri & Eddie match on Smackdown 2 weeks ago. I never saw the Angle vs. Benoit match, so I can't pick that.
