Posted June 2, 200321 yr Whats the story with their appearance on RAW last week then? Was it a trial, or just a one off anyways or what? Damn they looked slow.
June 2, 200321 yr They were having a trial match to see whether they got a full-time contract. They also had a dark match during that week's SmackDown! tapings. I think it's fair to say they probably won't be coming back anytime soon. Hope that helps :)
June 2, 200321 yr I think it was trail, to see if they still had anything left in them for one last run. I think the WWE staff were looking at crowd reaction more than anything, because the match was so short, they didnt really give or recieve any real offense. Also it could have had something to do with it being their 20th Anniversary (ahhh!) I hope if they do make a return it isnt into the mainstream of WWE TV. Maybe just on Velocity and HeAT. I really dont think putting them into the main tag team title frame would do anything for the WWE Tag Team division.
June 2, 200321 yr I sure hope they don't make a full time return LOD where a great tag team key word: Where , they didnt impress me one bit in the match they had with RVD and Kane and btw on the doomsday did RVD actually duck or was JR covering up the face Hawk messed up the move?
June 2, 200321 yr Taken from ProWrestling.com who stole it from the Observer: -As has been said all along, WWE has little-to-no interest in signing the Road Warriors a.k.a. the Legion of Doom to a contract. Some people think Vince McMahon brought the duo on one TV appearance and made them job clean to ruin their image. :devil
June 2, 200321 yr They were given a legitamate try out but totally fuc*ed it up by refusing to sell every single move basically.
June 2, 200321 yr Damn they looked slow. [/b] Thats because they are bloody slow, and why are they even allowed to be in the ring? The fastest they have ever moved was a Summerslam 92 and that was only because they were on motorbikes :) When are the WWE gonna realise they do not need old has-beens like the LOD...They the guys there right under their noses, but they cant see that as they always know whats best dont they?...do they hell. LOD should stand for Lacking Old Duffers not Legion of Doom.
June 3, 200321 yr Re: Re: Legion Of Doom Originally posted by therock88 LOD should stand for Lacking Old Duffers not Legion of Doom. Ha! Ha! :) I have to admit I didnt mind seeing them one last time. But I dont see the point or need to bring them in on a full time basis. Oh, and to Craig. Im pretty sure RVD ducked it. But it looked weak as hell, I must admit. What would have been good was if they (LOD) went out after suffering a Van-Terminator each. :)
June 3, 200321 yr If Rob Van Dam was allowed to hit that move every so often then it would bring the fans back...they love to see that move and i love to see it...the best one i have seen him hit was against Rhyno in surprisingly their only ever match in ECW.
June 4, 200321 yr The WWE needs to get a little more extreme in some matches. Especially ones which need a boost for a good PPV outting. RVD for instance needs to drop Kane like the big red retard he is and go solo. I would like to see RVD be given a chance to have a run as the WWE Heavyweight Champion.
June 4, 200321 yr That wont be the case as long as HHH is around...i hate to say this but when HHH was out with his injury the WWE was a lot better as the other guys were given more chance and oushes etc...he should step back and give someone else their shot at glory...he has had his 5 years of fame...
June 4, 200321 yr I agree. But, I dont think that Triple H's reign will finish untill SummerSlam. I hope and think that he will finally drop the title there to Goldberg cleanly and let the WWE Heavyweight title move in another direction. Or it will end in another DQ setting up a series of 'classic' re-matches that would run through to the end of the year.
