I also thought Goldberg and Austin wasn't coming over oh well the card will probably change soon anyway
I'm going to the event on Saturday, can't wait. :D The card doesn't look brilliant, but it will probably be changed several thousand times before the event takes place.
Apparantly Goldberg is a no-no. I remember posting the card for Insurrextion 2003. I'm not joking, I posted about 4 different revisions of the card, and then it was changed on the night for, I quote Linda Mac, "The Interests of Fairness"
Yeah, I doubt Austin or Goldberg will be appearing and I'll be surprised if that is the card. The WWE have been well known in the past to chop and change the UK Show cards, even if it is a Pay Per View.

Tut tut tut what a negative bunch of forum posters you all are :P

I think the WWE has actually learned by its past mistakes in this case. In the past with every UK only PPV they have always announced matches quite early, sometimes up to 2 months before the show. Of course then due to changing stroylines in the US the matches have them been changed. This time however we are only 5 days away from the show and this is the first time i have seen any matches announced at all for this years event. I think the WWE have realised that announcing the matches so early was short changing the fans somewhat and have therefore left it as late as possible to limit the amount of changes made. As for Goldberg and Austin well admittedly they werent said to be appearing but Goldberg was getting a lot of heat for not making the trip so maybe hes changed his mind, and personally i dont think the WWE would announce a match with Goldberg in it 5 days before the show if they knew he wasnt making the trip over.

Or then again maybe im just being too positive here :D

All i know is im going to the Nottingham house show the night before Insurrextion and i cant wait especially if the card is similar to the PPV (which is usually is) as theres a few good matches. Only dissapointing part is i dont see La Resistance anywhere so i hope there on the Nottingham card instead :xyx

The vital part of that statement!

Yes i know that and if you read what i wrote i didnt say it wasnt going to change i said it was LESS LIKELY to change seeing as how they have announced the matches so late.
From what I believe, part of Goldberg's contract states he doesn't work house shows, and Insurrextion is really just a glorified house show.

Wasn't having a go!

I just looked at WWE.com and Goldberg has been taken off the card the new match list is

Scott Steiner & Kevin Nash (with Shawn Michaels) vs. Triple H & Chris Jericho (with Ric Flair)

INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP

Booker T vs. Christian

WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP

RVD & Kane vs. La Resistance

TRIPLE THREAT MATCH FOR WOMEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP

Trish Stratus vs. Jazz vs. Victoria

The Dudley Boyz vs. Rodney Mack & Christopher Nowinski

Goldust vs. Rico

Maven vs. Lance Storm

The Hurricane vs. Test (with Stacy Keibler)

Val Venis vs. Steven Richards

Scott Steiner in the main event instead of Goldberg. Im ordering this event NOW!

...............

Not.

Id much rather see HBK thrown into the mix, than the pop-eyed freak.

Just read this on 411

"After announcing the card for the UK Insurrextion PPV yesterday then changing the card twice throughout the day, WWE has pulled the entire card from the Insurrextion website today. At this point, it is unknown whether they plan to change the card from what was announced yesterday."

So much for my optimism :roll

insurrextion

Just seen William Regal on sky sports news, wrestling exposed also carrying this story.Regal announced that the main even ,again for umpteenth time has changed and will now be HHH w/flair vs Kevin Nash w/michaels.He also said booker t would be squaring off against chrish jericho,so no i.c champion christian mentioned anywhere.Other mathces are what was advertised originally including triple threat matches for womens and tag titles. He also said he doesnt know whether austin will be there,so thats a no then. However he confirmed that he will be there and be part of insurrextion in a non wrestling role. Was a good interview actually, catch it if you can, wasnt just about insurrextion. He did a good job of bulling up whats gonna a mediocre ppv in uk again by wwe and me like a muppet am going to watch it live hahah,oh well.

Heres the card they announced on Smackdown:

Kevin Nash vs. Triple H

Booker T vs. Christian

Chris Jericho Hi-Lite Reel with Eric Bischoff and Steve Austin

Trish vs. Jazz

Test vs. Scott Steiner

La Resistance vs. Rob Van Dam and Kane

And it also said The Hurricane, Christopher Nowinski, The Dudleys and Val Venis will be in action.
