How to get the chatroom kick started again

Well, I've been going into the Chat room for quite a while now, but recently it been dead as a doornail, I have had to invited freinds of mine on to talk 2, the 8 O'clock meet up was a disaster after a week and a bit

 

Is there any way to get the chat kick started again cause I love the chatroom, and its a shame Kam paying all that money for it and its going to waste

i know rem - ive been goin in and out of chat all evening and theres noonoe there. it seems such a shame and a waste for it to be dead like this cos it is ince when theres people in to chat to

Yup, i gotta agree, i was also going to do this thread, it's been dead everytime i've been in for about a week now if not more. It's such a shame as going back just a few weeks it was fairly busy and the 8OClock meet up seemed to be working. I do think theres a lull in the internet overall at the moment but it would be nice to see some people back in chat. :)

I do go in, but only when I know someone decents in there. Theres nothing worse than going in and have about 5 pm's from some weirdos.

This thread hasn't been replied to in some time now so I guess we've all decided the Chat is now dead and buried? :(

 

C'mon guys, everyone make an effort, MSN people and tell them to come in, get it going again, I miss talking to people in there.

 

Oh btw, two people called "spiderman" and "the man" have apparently been in there for over a week now, everytime I try to go in, they're there, no matter what time. :? What's that about?

I don't use the chatrooms, but the slump is most likely to be because:

 

a) People, like myself, use MSN and have most of the board as contacts

 

b) Its summer, so there's work and play to do

I do tend to agree about chat though, the interest has completely waned, :(

The problem is that if someone enters the room, and sees there is no one in,or nobody they like in the room, they tend to leave without saying a word, and then this develops into a sort of chain reaction, because then next person comes along, and because there is nodody in the room they don't hang around.

 

The solution to this could be for people to just wait alittle bit without leaving the room, try to talk to other people and then hopefully maybe more people will stay in the room. I know its pretty sad staying in a room where nobody is taking, but help trying create talk.

 

Also I have been in the chatroom and then while doing so noticed that the forums have been packed out, while nobody can force you to come into the chatroom, I'd just like to ask people just to pop in for a while.

 

At the end of the day, the chatroom has become stale and boring, but in reality the room has stayed the same, its just us TWO members who have changed. We don't give it a chance, its a good facilty and why not use it, even if its just once or twice a week.

That's a great post by Dan, i'm as bad for just popping in and out if it's empty. I noticed that if I go in with another person and we hang around other people come in and stay to. Definitely worth thinking about. :)

When I go in, I don't want to stay if theres not someone I know because if there strangers, I just get pm's with asl in and I really can't be bothered with it.
