Ring tones are just as useless. You get 3 random beeps, and it's apparently Beathoven's unfinished symphony. Blah. Burn them all.

Actually, I was given a mobile phone for Xmas. It's still in the box.

 

As for "txt" messaging, I really can't see how missing out the vowels in each word saves you time. The time it saves to spell a word incorrectly is lost by the need to decipher the word by the person at the other end. Anyway, I don't see why anyone should need a mobile.

 

Email- free.

Text Message- About 10p.

 

Phoning someone- About 10p per min.

Using the voice chat thing on MSN- Free.

 

No matter how many phone boxes are closed down, there will always be one or two lying about. Carry a 10p piece with you, and you won't need a mobile in emergancies.

 

To me, mobiles are made to seem important, but they cost a hell of a lot of money, and are just fashion accessories, so that sad little 12 year old girls can compare who has the best ring tone, even if they all sound like a set of random beeps to me.

 

If anyone can give me a half decent reason why I should use a mobile phone, I will be very surprised.

when youre out getting food shopping and you've forgotten how many mushrooms you were supposed to get, a mobile is very handy.

I would write down a shopping list before I went out.

I could come back the next time and get mushrooms.

I could buy too many mushrooms, and only use what I need, then give the rest to the neighbours.
