WWE TV Idea

What can the WWE do with Heat and Velocity?

I have a high opinion that Velocity can be a successful Cruiserweight show for the WWE. As previously stated, even if it is only as a pilot, just see what reaction it gets. I was attracted to WCW because of its cruiserweight action. Perhaps if WWE push their division, they may attract some WCW followers.

Heat, since its intial "push", has become a show that evaluates the happenings of WWE TV that week. This is a great waste. Think of all the lower-card and mid-card talent that hardly get any TV time. Make Heat credible again, and put these guys on TV. Build up fueds between wrestlers, and they don't need to wrestle on the PPV's. Not only does this give the wrestlers something to do as it gives them TV time to build their character, but can also boost ratings, however slightly.

Your thoughts are needed! :xyx

This is a top idea that keeps getting floated around the forums but never seems to come to fruition.

A good side-effect of this would be the fact that, without PPV time, feuds between these lower-card workers could be given plenty of time to build. There wouldn't be any time-limit on the blow-off thus the predictability of the upper-card feuds wouldn't be there. Also, you average lower-card worker will generally be working harder and have less of a chip on his shoulder about his won/loss record in a feud so we won't be able to come on the forums and say "Well, X got a clean pin on this show so Y's owed a win in the blow-off" etc.

If done right, it'd work. However we all know at the end of the day Vince is a mark for a huge body, plus they already this idea, remember the SuperAstros idea/programme?.

They dropped it without even trying. So it COULD work, but it'll never happen.

Vince, now more than ever, is detached from the outside world, and the McMahons as a whole live in a different world that they've created for themselves.

Hehe, hi HSM, it's not my fault Vince is clueless. WWE has some awesome Junior flyers, but backwards booking won't allow them to to what they do best, and thus get over. Tis a real sad shame too.

This topic is kind of ironic really, as Freddie Blassie was the first worker in the States to get Lucha Libre guys over like Mil Mascaras and Rey Mendoza, in the late 50's and 60's.

If I were Vince, I would push Heat and Velocity to be better. He should actually let the titles change hands on those shows once in a while.

Well what i would like to see then doin with either or of these shows is making it a show dedicated to the cruiserweight division...

if they did this then they may very well gain some new views, maybe old WCW views who only watched for the cruiser action..i know i would certainly watch them...

After Raw & SD!, I'll email this suggestion to WWE. Not that they'll reply, but if we don't tell them what we want, they won't get better!

Cactus, seriously, it's not worth your time or anyone else's to e-mail them, like I said, Vince is in his own world now, much like he was during the early 1990's.

Then in 1997, he finally throw in the towel and admitted he was out-of-touch with the-then fans. After he did that he started to listen to the people who knew what they were doing.

This time however I don't think Vince will listen eventually, especially after all the pathetic non-WWE projects that failed, also add to that the quarter-year financial report that is out.
