I know this is meant to be for wrestling games, but none-the-less:

 

In GTA 3, the mission when you are with 8-ball trying to blow up the Triad Ship, 8-ball always gets killed. This is even when I kill all the people at the front of the boat and by the time that I get onto the boat to kill the rest, he has been killed. Any tips?

Yeah, you are not to go onto the boat.

 

Instead go to the top of the buliding in front of the boat, and use your new sniper rifle to kill the Triads before they kill 8-ball.

 

8-ball will stop and hide behind boxes while you pick them off one by one. But if it takes you too long he will make a run for it, and die every time.

Does anyone know how you can fly the little planes? I go on the full lenght of the runway, press UP, and it crashes! Longest I've been up in the air was 3 seconds! Advice Welcomed!

Push up as you gain speed. Then slowly pull down to lift off. But they do not fly very far. The record is like 40 secs.

Addressing the 1st post of the thread, the mistake I made was I just went to the first bit of the stairs, I didn't go right to the top of the building! I realised that it's what I needed to do and I completed it. About 2 months ago, I got stuck and haven't played it since. I've worked for all the people, done the phone in Shoreside, done the phone in Staunton but i'm stuck on the phone in Portland. Mafia keep blowing my car up. Sick of the game now!

I do the phone job in Portland for El Burro of the Diablos (Turismo) and win. So I now have Joey's Buggy. I do more jobs at the same phone (the last was the porno mags I think) and then I get the Turismo Job again. I think this is strange as I can still get the Buggy, so I do the job again. I then go back to the phone and it is the same job again!

 

Is it a bug?

No bug. Once you've done all of El Burro's missions, the Turismo race repeats over and over so that you can beat your best time. Same happens on the phone missions on Staunton for the Yardies.
