Posted June 11, 200321 yr Is it really wise of Vince to of brought in Eric Bischoff he dosen't have a very impressive CV does he? He let Mick Foley walk out, he told Steve Austin he would never be a star and he ran WCW right out of business so why bring him in?
June 11, 200321 yr Bischoff has been in WWE almost a year now, a bit late to bring this debate up isnt it?
June 11, 200321 yr Bischoff doesn't have any creative power. P.S, Bischoff doesn't have an impressive C.V?, he beat Vince for nearly two years straight. Plus he brought in great workers like Benoit, Malenko, Ultimo Dragon, the flyers etc etc. Edited June 11, 200321 yr by Rikidozan
June 11, 200321 yr AND HE FIRED TEH STONE COLD AFTER WRASSLEMANIA!!!!!!!!!! OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *adjusts tie* Like Jerichoholic said, isnt this a little late to debate seeming he's been around for like a year? Also now he is only a part of the show, he is only asked for creative input but doesnt offer any directly. Also he is the guy who helped mould modern wrestling into what it is. He isnt great, but he isnt bad either. However since he has come to the WWE, I think he has added to it, rather than taken anything away from the show.
June 11, 200321 yr Like my old pal Singhy says, In WCW he had creative power whereas in the WWE hes just a character following whats written for him. I think hes doing fine personally as hes pretty over as a heel.

June 11, 200321 yr Originally posted by Sharpshooter121 Ultimo Dragon sucks. i take it you hate cusierweights
June 11, 200321 yr No man don't get me wrong i just don't ever see a cruiserweight being heavyweight champ (except possibly Rey) some of them are fun to watch though and hey were all entitled to our own opinion.
June 11, 200321 yr Rey Mysterio will never be world champion yet has more talent than the majority of the RAW main event. And obviously you've never seen Ultimo Dragon cas before his injury, he was in my opinion better than most of the cruisers, including Rey Rey. And erm.. Bischoff bought Benoit into WCW, not WWE. And Bischoff was actually the one who made WCW millions through delivering big stars and being the hottest competition WWE would ever have. Can't fault him for that. He didn't kill WCW. The egos of Hogan and crew did.
June 11, 200321 yr Originally posted by Sharpshooter121 So i suppose the Austin thing was just a mistake huh ? to be fair on Bischoff, he couldn't see in to the future and i bet you didn't know Steve austin would one day become a huge success. Eric Bischoff has made some mistakes, but they were tame compared to others
June 12, 200321 yr Just in case you don't know the full story, Austin was fired because he sustained an Injury (possibly in Japan while he was off TV), he then didn't turn up to work for 2 months, so Bischoff fired him because of that. By the way, if it wasn't for the croperate idiots who wanted to make WCW family orientated, then today Bischoff and WCW would be the number 1 wrestling company in the world.
June 12, 200321 yr Bish is a great person, Behind the scenes, id have bish in my company, but as for dust Rhodes i know he was a wrestler and is golddusts dad n all but he isnt to good of a booker, Bish behind scenes is an excellent adtiion.
June 12, 200321 yr Lol, Ultimo Dragon sucks?!, and Benoit was actually brought in by Bischoff, Benoit was sent to NJPW and ECW to grow as a worker before entering WCW full-time.
June 12, 200321 yr This post can be classed as "a bit late" but if you want to know people's opinion's on the matter then it's a very good one. I for one, think that Bischoff plays a very good character. I do not know much about his past (WCW an all) as I never watched WCW. Although I booed him at the time (like every1 does) I was very happy to see him at the road to Insurrextion in Nottingham on June 6th 2003. Even though Stone Cold Steve Austin is my number 1 favourite wrestler without a doubt, Bischoff is great in the storylines. Him and Austin actually go well and work well together. I'm happy to see Bischoff in the WWE. He most probably is better as a character than someone in power but I can't really comment on that as I said earlier, I don't know alot about his past. One person I'd like to see show up in the WWE again is Shane McMahon, I'd like the roster-split to end and there to be the same gm's for shows but possibly Shane on SD with or without Steph.
June 12, 200321 yr So how do we explain the fact that he and i quote the great Mick Foley here "took Bret Hart a man that had been at the top for ten years and after a month he was just one of the boys, he legitimately wasted one of the greatest talents the business has ever seen" - Mick Foley have a nice day. Now even if i was wrong on the other points youve gotta admit Bischoff screwed up there.
June 12, 200321 yr Bischoff gave Bret enough money to be sorted for life, and was a genuine friend to Bret, as Hart has said numerous times. it was Hogan and co who decided they wanted to be bigger than Hart and held him back, otherwise I guarentee Bisch would have made Bret a superstar moreso than he already was. The only mistake Bischoff has ever really made is letting Hogan and co's ego's get too big. Bischoff didn't kill WCW. Those guys (and later on, Vince Russo) killed WCW.
June 12, 200321 yr Without a doubt I'm glad he's in the WWE. Just having him can play into many stories by bringing up WCW history.
June 13, 200321 yr Geez, I smell a WWE mark. I'm not disputing that Bischoff made big mistakes, but he also made huge money and BEAT VINCE McMAHON for nearly two years straight. Bischoff also helped Vince more than probably ECW did. When Vince was getting his ass kicked every Tuesday morning, he realised and admitted he didn't know what the public wanted and was very distant from them.
