I always thought this was going to be one of those deals that just never really materialised into anything.

Boy, I was wrong. I cant wait to see how well Dave fares at Real.

bye bye to beckham and good riddance to paper thin victoria who ever told her she could sing needs to be shot

on a more lighter note David did pay for victoria to have a tattoo of the madrid crest on her back only problem being that the needle went through and stitched her to the couch:D :D

To be honest i havent seen anyone too distraught about the fact he has left. good luck to him though, but i can guarantee he will still make the tabloids front pages over here!

I expect united to sell veron.. and personally, i wouldnt be to surprised if Giggs was moved on either. But they will definatly replace beckham so theres no way its gonna be giggs, keane, veron and scholes. with scholes playin the more attacking role, the only person id say is a definate for next season is Keane. Although i do think fergie may go with Solksjaer to replace beckhams boots. he was outstanding far right towards the end of last season..and is maybe one of the reasons united had the courage to sell beckham, knowing we already have someone who can play his role. Granted, solksjaer couldnt get back as much as beckham did, but thats where fergie would bring somebody in the centre of midfield who would play a more defensive role..who? i have no idea. I'd expect them to spend the money on a keeper and a defender or another striker, midfield and a replacement for Beckham would be the last thing on my mind.

why would a replacement for beckham be the last thing on your mind? we dont need another defender.. striker maybe.. but we need a couple of midfielders to strenghten it up after losing beckham.. and probably veron will go, keane cant last the season playing every game.. we are gonna have to replace him.

I just think that you need other positions strengthened. But hey, you'd know better than me seeing as you watch them every week I assume. I just thought I'd throw my observation in as an outsider of Manchester United who rarely sees them play. I couldn't care less what they spend the money on really. :)

Well we've bought that American keeper, whos name escapes me at this time, but he's supposed to be quite good, I also expect us to go after Robinson of Leeds.

Other players I'd like bought in are Ronaldinho (obviously) and Kewell to strengthen the attack, Phillipe Mexes and Julien Escude to strengthen the defence and the young Portugese fella whose name also escapes me at this time (I'm doing well here :xyx).

I don't think our defensive midfield needs strengthening, with Keano, Butt and P Neville that position is well covered in my opinion.

I didnt say i knew better than you.. i was just discusisng your point.. hate it when people get all defensive like that.. but yea i think our midfield is good enough for the Premiership, but i dont think its good enough for europe.

I wasn't getting defensive at all. When you say "we" I'd assume you are a Manchester United supporter. If you support United I'd expect you'd see them far more often than me and therefore you would know more about the team and where they could do with strengthing. If I say they don't need to strength the midfield and you as a Manchester United fan say they do then you are probably right as you watch them far more often.

It wasn't being defensive in the slightest.
