After reading and enjoying Russ' review of WWF WrestleFest - I am curious to find out yours' most earliest wrestling video gaming memories?

As well what is your favourite retro wrestling game - the list doesn't count for PS2, X-Box, Gamecube games - it must be PSOne and older consoles :)

It MUST be wrestling BTW!

My most earliest wrestling memory was playing WWF WrestleMania on the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) when I was a kid. - it was basic with power ups ranging from Hulk Hogan's cross to Honky Tonky Man's guitar boucing across from the ring - if you capture your power up - you will be invincible for a while.

Basic controls with basic visuals - but it was a great game though!

My favourite past wrestling games:

WCW/nWo Revenge - THQ and AKI - N64

WWF Attitude - Acclaim and Acclaim Studios PSone

WWF WrestleMania 2000 - THQ and AKI N64

WWF No Mercy - THQ and AKI N64

WWF SmackDown! - THQ and Yukes PSOne

WWF SmackDown! 2 THQ and Yukes PSOne

ECW Hardcore Revolution - Acclaim and Acclaim Studios

Cheers!

the best wrestling game IMO is No Mercy for the N64

excellent one player mode (they should put that as a "sceanrio" mode for the next Smackdown..or any other WWE wrestling game for that matter in the future)

nice graphics

excellent (if demanding) control system

great Create-a-wrestler mode

IMO near perfection of a wrestling game

I'm just curious - you said you would like to see a more demanding control system, do you mean a system similar to Acclaim's WWF and ECW games?

Thanks!:xyx

NO!!! i hate that control system. if i wanted to enter a few commands just to do a punch, i would play Virtua Fighter :D

I thought WCW/nWo Revenge on the N64 was brilliant game as for a real classics I actually loved Royal Rumble on the SNES fantastic game

LOL good one! - sorry for that! - perhaps the AKI Control System?:D

Craig Van Dam - a very excellent choice - Royal Rumble - one of the classics.

After all - it was the first known game where you could punch the ref for the sheer of it and get away with it :D

Might be a bit of a late post here, but I have to go for Attitude... for me one of the best wrestling games of all time.

The CAW is in my opinion made even more outstanding in that game by the addition of like 16+ custom entrance themes... classics such as "Let's Legislate"... absolutely outstanding!

Plus it enabled you to do one of the coolest matches I think I've ever played in... a 4-way Iron Man Hardcore War. Now let me hear you say ohhhh yeah. :)
