Ok, so we're half way through the year 2003, 6 PPVs have been and gone... which obviously got me thinking, who has been the stand-out worker for the WWE so far? Although its been a very poor year so far, and unlike last year whilst it was poor, there was still a clear outstanding worker in the form of Angle, for you who has been MVP of 2003 so far?

Personally, I have no choice but to go for Chris Jericho. For me he's just been outstanding so far this year, and if it wasn't for Big Nose hogging the belt on Raw perhaps maybe a decent heel would get the belt. He seems to have shaken off any attempts to keep him down in the midcard by the booke.. I mean writing staff, along with such things as his own show in the Highlight Reel will hopefully mean he'll be remembered as a legend in years to come much like Piper was.

He's been along with Christian one of the only entertaining aspects of Raw. Truly did have a classic feud with HBK which finished with a classic match to top it off, which gets Jericho my vote as WWE MVP of 2003 so far. Just wish the powers that be on Raw would realise it already.

i agree Simon. Along with Eric Bischoff (and Stone cold) he's helped keep Raw alive. he's also made Goldberg look good at Bad Blood

i just hope they keep the Highlight reel for a long time, it seems to helps elevate potential talent and make feuds more enjoyable.

Jericho, no doubt in my mind. Angle has been out with the neck injury, Micheals only works part-time and Flair is being misued. Given the fact Jericho has carried the likes of Hogan and Goldberg, he deserves some sort of trophy.

No one had been as awesomely consistant as Jericho has thus far.

Yep. Chris Jericho is my MVP so far. He is one of the few entertaining things on Raw and got an average match out of Goldberg which I think is great going. Kurt Angle being out with a neck injury, Chris Benoit being horribly, horribly misused and Eddie Guerrero being stuck in tag team wrestling means there is absolutely no other choice other than Chris Jericho. The guy is a star.

I say Big Show. I mean, who can forget his classic matches with The Undertaker at No Way Out, Rey Mysterio at Backlash, and teaming with A-Train to beat Funaki and Tajiri on Smackdown.

Actually... maybe you're right. Y2J for me :)

Id say Y2J big push so far this year, and he will be the champ before the year is out again, but he iwll not beat HHH for the belt.

he'll have to turn face first...which i don't see happening for quite a while

I don't think Big Show would really be that silly a choice, he hasn't had that bad a year has he? I have to say I really enjoyed his stretcher match with Lesnar, and I know it might be contraversial to say it, but he's entertaining me right now in the Smackdown main event.

Although Mr. Jericho is in a different league :)

I will agree with the majority and say Jericho he has been so entertaining this year he was great in his fued with HBK, and the Highlight Reel has been the best part of Raw recently Chris Jericho, RVD and Booker is why I watch Raw
I agree with the Majority. I still don't like Jericho but I have to admit He's done a lot this year on Raw. The Highlight Reel Made the Feud between HHH and kevin Nash more interesting when he invited both of them as guest on the highlight Reel, I mean who can forget that Brawl that made all the way into the street and ended with HHH "stealing" a vehichle and driving away. Not to mention the Match at Wrestlemania XIX with Shawn Michaels. I also Liked his match with Goldberg at Bad Blood When he dogded a spear sending Goldberg through a Barricade (again).

Neither on the list get my vote......

The man who gets my vote is Eric Bischoff.

He is the reason why I make a effort to watch Raw - he just entertains me all the way from WCW days, from his "I must impress the boss" skits in February to power mad man after WrestleMania XIX and his current angle with Stone Cold as his tormemtor is very excellent.

He's the man of the moment.

you know PK there is an "Other (please state)" selection on the list :P

Ahh but PK, you can't really say Bischoff can you? He's not a wrestler.... say I was to put a gun to your head and make you choose an actual wrestler, then who would you pick? :)

Notice how I worded the question to stop people saying Bischoff/Austin/McMahon, moohoohaha :P

Thank you for clearing this up - but I assume that the word "worker" means everyone who is on TV in wrestling or speaking role.

But seeing as you asked me, I would say Rey Mysterio and Brock Lesnar.

I think brock is the MVP so far.
