If it were to happen, who would you pick as your winner of King of the Ring 2003 and why?

I'd go with either Rhyno or Cena. Both these guys are main eventers in the making, and both could do with some momentum. Give one fo them the US Title and the other the King of the Ring champion.

Who would you pick?

I would probably pick Cena as he is very over with the fans and KOTR is the type of thing that could really elavate him

I can't really think of one to be honest. It's how bad it is right now.... Although it would definitely be a Smackdown worker (As we all know on Raw having talent isn't going to get you anywhere), but it all just depends who the WWE wants to push.

And right now I have no idea where the WWE is going, or what the hell they have planned. I don't think they do themselves either. Still, stick a gun to my head and I'd probably say Matt Hardy. How class would that be :)

Erm........if I had to pick a winner, id go for Bill Goldberg. The guy could do with a push. LOL! :)

Only joking, I think id go for Rey Mysterio. As it would open alot of new doors for the lightweights of the WWE and maybe give the little guys in the WWE a chance of winning something. If not Rey, then I would have an RVD vs John Cena final. Whoever wins, everybody wins. Both, im sure would make credible 'kings'.

hmmmmm

That is a good question, withh all the talent, I think Randy Orton would make a great heel king, I think he could go a long way in this industry.

Heh. I was thinking about Randy Orton to. But then I thought it maybe a little too soon as far as he is concerned and actually thought it would be cool if he could win the tournament in 2006. :)

I also say Matt Hardy. He has the talent and charisma to be King of the Ring, and a future WWE Champion. If he does get the title, he better get a credible run.

What about Christian?

With his recent push, I'm absolutly loving everything he does! I can;t see him being a World Champ, but you never no.

Plus, Test has always been labelled the breakout start but never fulfills, whether his own fault or not.

The thing with Christian is that the way he is being booked and pushed now, unless there is a change in the way he is being booked, when he looses the IC title he will loose all status and fall off the card. Just like he did the last time he held the strap.

The guy is playing the role of the 'weasel heel' where he will always be willing to run rather than fight. Which is fair enough. But he needs to start picking up some singles wins against lesser opponents at least to try and boost the fact that when called upon he can get the job done. I dont think loosing to Goldust did Christian any good. He needs to start getting some wins under his belt for his character to move onto the next level.

The thing with the King Of The Ring, it would mean that Christian would have to win (including the preliminary matches) 4 straight matches to become king, which if done in the right way could put Christian over big-time. And set Christian up nicely to go onto greater things.

It would be great for Christian but wouldnt really go with his character as it stands now, but with a few minor changes he could have made a great king this year. Im also loving his persona now he has come out alot more open and he's getting decent time on the stick.

Im definetly one of his peeps. :)

Test on the other hand has never really impressed me. He has been often tipped for great things, but rarely delivers. The WWE bookers often seem to be in two minds over whether to push him or not, and really has hurt his character.

The ideal time that Test could have gotten over would have been when Triple H stole his wife-to-be Stephanie. Test would have gotten the sympathy vote and with a good PPV showing it really would have done well for Test. But he was left to play second fiddle to Vince who took the lead in this angle and thus nothing ever came of it.

Test has been in the WWE for too long now, drifting in the mid to lower then back to mid, then to upper only to go back down to lower card region to really get me interested in him to a point where I would want to see him become the King of The Ring, but then again I really enjoyed his match against Test at Badd Blood and his Stacy angle is looking really good to.
