WWF Best of 2001 Show

Im talking about the one that they showed on Sky just this week.

I was completely dissappointed with it. I dunno, i just was expecting more.

Was 2001 really that crap? Before i saw that show i thought it was a great year for wrestling. The WWF shouldnt have let the fans decide...All you get is BS like Austin V HHH winning outright.

Best match of year 2001 - Jerry Lynn V RVD on Heat. Hands down. Why are you laughing damnit.

I had to stop watching at number 1 damnit. 3 hours of absolute crap. Almost as bad as the Raw when Grandmaster Sexay tried to get William Regal to dance ("Silly willy!") , or when Austin and Rock started singing instead of giving us a main event.

Surely there are some sane people here who would agree that HHH v Austin was a poo choice, and is gonna unfortunately lead them to making it the goddamn Wrestlemania 18 main event.

I know Jerry Lynn v RVD on Heat is the "smart" thing to say but come on! It wasn't long enough - if it had been longer then maybe it could have contended for match of the year.

You should have added "worth seeing if you have 3 hours of your life to waste". Gimme more Bossman bad punching any day over it.

Who? :roll

The show was nothing but a glorified tribute to HHH.

Three matches involving the man, Michael Cole's and Jerry Lawler's shameless "I can't wait until MSG next week when HHH comes back at the very top" a beautiful day HHH advert and any other little thing that the WWF could find with Hunter in it.

It really was beginning to wear thin. It did remind me of the cool WM match that Hunter had with Taker and gave me a few mins to reminisce over how good Taker once was and try and empathise with him. I guess I am the only one that does feel sorry for him though, maybe i'm a sucker.

The women's match was a waste of time and served two purposes....1, the guys to play whats harder the remote control or my willy and 2, for the women to sit there and go "Ooooh I wonder where Stacey Keibler got her undies from".

The only good thing was watching the cowboy hat and the alliance singing skits again. Shame that they were a little short....

Man, people are really down on the WWF right now - with the exception of the Benoit/Austin match from Smackdown, and the Angle/Austin match from Summerslam, I thought the list was pretty much spot on for content, if not placings.

I really enjoyed the programme, end of story.

It featured 9 great, entertaining matches. To be honest, I'm glad that was on rather than a lacklustre Raw.

Yeah, I missed the show as well due to technical difficulties.

Where did my match of the year Benoit v Jericho at the Rumble finish?
