Did anyone else notice from the pictures on the WWE website

that they did a terrible job in making him look scarred. They must think we are stupid! They cut the guys hair and where the hell has all that black stuff gone from all over his face there was only a bit of scaring there. Did they think we would not notice?

Well they've probably ruined that character now, cause it means he can't wrestle longer than 2 minutes or else his "burns" will miraculously get rubbed off. Typical on the fly booking though, surprisingly enough. Somebody please try and book long term, it's not that tricky, or at least book the conclusion, then work backwards.

Chances are his "burns" will change week to week untill WWE get the make up they like.

I think the way they could do this is by saying Kane was not in the fire and he had the chance to save his mom or him so he got out, and his mom died and they could bring taker back as the dark taker.what does everone think of that silly or not?

I don't think it looks all that bad. He looks more scary now than with the mask on. There hasn't been many North American wrestlers who have done well after they have lost their mask so I'm sure Glen Jacobs is more than a little anxious as to what will happen.

I thought they had some sort of burnt mask for Kane years ago? If they did, why not use it now?

There were apparently three other options regarding the unmasking:

 

1. That Kevin Nash was going to be under the mask, continuing the feud between him and HHH into SummerSlam. That wouldn't have been such a bad idea.

 

2. That Kane wasn't going to have anything at all, just his normal face, and that he was 'emotionally burnt', seeing in the mirror that he was burnt, even though he wasn't. Of course then, you'd have to ignore all the Patterson/Brisco classic facial expressions when they took the photo of his face in mid 2000.

 

3. That Kane would be wearing face paint, more than likely to be the same design as his mask, underneath the mask.

 

To be honest, all of those ideas are far better than destroying his character completely.

Alright, we all saw ....eeerrrrrr........saw Kane's face reveiled at the Garden last night....I noticed that the crowd wasn't sure how to react throughout the last part of the segment, in which Kane beat up on RVD. I think the fanbase was almost agreeing with Kane, realizing what torment he went through, and didnt boo him for beating on RVD, a popular face in the WWE. I did although, also notice that the MSG audience kinda lost it's interest after Mick Foley's Honorary segment, did anybody else notice?

 

Also, what do you think about Kane's future, or possible storylines for him?

 

I think they need to use him as a heel. I think that if booked right, he could be an incredible monster in the ring, but he has to get some credibility by mutilating some top tier faces....

Agreed. Kane needs to be a monster heel... or a face who surgically removes the belt from HHH with his tools he had in his days as a dentist.

 

As for the removal of the mask... in the words of DDP (reversed)... that's not a good thing.... that's.... a bad thing. Awful idea.

I have to say that i knew Kane wasnt burnt but i did think that the wwe would do a better job at faking that. I was watching raw with my 8 year old brother when kane took off the mask and he looked over at me and said, "those aren't burns and half of his head has been shaved!", which tells me that if they can't fool a kid they are pathetic.
