Best IC champ?

Who do you think was the best IC champ ever. And I am not talking about what became of them after their IC Title reign, I'm talking about who was the best, when they were holding the title??? I personally think that Shawn Michaels was the best IC champ ever, and the must invigorating to watch....

I'd say either Hennig or Bret Hart. It really depends on the criteria you're judging the worker by.

For me it's Rick Rude, a man who SHOULD have been world champion, and would have been if the WWE didn't do the old Hogan holding the belt for a year nonsense. Just my personal opinion :)

Anyway Bret Hart was my personal favourite, but Rick Rude and Mr Perfect were great too.

Yea i noticed a lot of people referring to Mr. Perfect as the best. I personally find him to be one of the greatest wrestlers. Does anybody remember the Royal Rumble 2 years ago, when he came out there, I wonder if he was supposed to be a Mock Participant and that would be all of his reoccurence, or if he earned his contract right there that night. I remember thinkin how long he had been in there, and when he was among the last three, i coudlnt believe it, i thought he was doing somethin that was against what he was told, but after getting that contract, apparently not! I really think he shoulda been pushed to main event status, he really was a great technician, he was a good worker, sold others well, just remember the way he got sent to the turnbuckles and took punches, made others look like superheroes in the ring...your thoughts.,..

ahhh my bad, Honky Tonk is a great, I will never forget him and Greg the Hammer Valentine coming down the aisle in that car, showboating their platinum record, ha! Honky Tonk will be known for his IC reign, without a doubt....

I personally voted for the mountie as I think most of the other guys are or were too good for the I.C. Title mountie was a great charcter.....

I voted for the "Highlight of the Night", the "Ayatollah of Rock and Rolla", the "King of the World", Chris Jericho! But Kid Banzai is right. the Honky Tonk Man was easily the best.

I voted for Bret Hart, for me he was an excellent Intercontinental Champion. He had some great matches for the title and was a true fighting champion.

 

Although I am no means a huge Bret Hart fan you have to respect what he did for the title. To me anyhow he raised the bar for the title and made it mean just that little bit more. When he held the title he was involved in serveral great fueds and he had a great look. He made it seem that to get that title from him, you would have to kill him first.

 

Also his match against the Bulldog, which took place right here in the UK was one of the best WWF/E Intercontinental title matches of all time.
