A Problem and some dvd questions...

Hi all,

 

I posted this here because I can't seem to start a new thread on the Products Zone. Anyone know what's wrong?

 

Is the Rebellion 2002 dvd any good (how good are the matches, extras etc)?

It's good to watch if you were there (like I was) but if I hadn't've been there I'd think it was pretty poor. Can't remember how the extras were, sorry! :xyx

Can't remember any of the matches from Rebellion but it was the Smackdown roster so it must have been half decent.

Yeah I enjoyed Vengeance 2002 - one of only one or two WWE DVDs I have.

 

Extras aren't particularly great (Hogan & Edge v Billy & Chuck and then 7 interviews with wrestlers). But it is a pretty good show. Bubba & Spike against Guerrero and Benoit in a table match is good, RVD v Lesnar is good and the main event between Rock, Undertaker and Angle is excellent. I'd recommend it.

I didn't really enjoy Vengeance much.

 

The opener, Benoit/Guerrero vs. The Dudleyz, is good once the elminations start, but everything before that is punching and kicking, with no suplexes to be found. Kinda dissapointing if you ask me.

 

Kidman vs. Noble was fairly decent, pretty much your run of the mill Cruiser match.

 

I actually thought Jeff Hardy vs. Regal was not that bad, at least it was kept fairly short and Jeff didn't noticebly blow anything.

 

John Cena vs. Y2J was short and quite slow, and Cenas fluke roll up to finish the match didn't help matters either.

 

RVD vs. Lesnar was ok, nothing special, and a terrible finish to boot.

 

The UnAmericans vs. Edge/Hogan was okay when Hogan wasn't in, otherwise when he was it was a slow, tedious match.

 

The main event is superb however, despite them going overboard with the finishers. The best match on the card by a wide margin.

 

The DVD extras aren't too great, with there only being a few interviews and an extra match. You also get the music video for the Vengeance theme (Some tune by Trust Company, I think).

 

Overall, a shoddy undercard is outshined by a fantastic main event, I wouldn't really recommend the DVD, there are far better WWE ones to be found.

What other dvds would you recommend?

 

AC1D CHR1ST - you say that Rebellion is poor, but what's wrong with it? The CW triple threat match and the Guerreros tag match sound good... And the extra is HBK V Bulldog.

 

I'm listening (or reading!) to your opinions and appreciate them

Other WWE DVDs I would recommend are:

 

Survivor Series 2002

No Mercy 2002

Best of Confidential

Summerslam 2002

 

I've also seen the Lita and Hardy Boys DVDs, both of them are actually surprisingly entertaining and well put together, despite the wrestlers they are about.

Yeah, I might just get the HBK dvd, even though I've got the WMX and WM12 and the HiaC matches already....

 

The Best of Confidential looks good, so I'm thinking of getting this.
