Well, hello folks...

To some of you who are hoping I'll fall flat on my face this may well be good news...of course, to the vast majority of you (those with pubic hair and Anna) it may be a little worrying.

I decided to pay a visit to the venue today, hopeful of a few A4 posters being up and tickets having been sold. "At least..." I thought "...if there's no sales, the posters will be up." HA!!!!!

Apparently the tickets may not have gone through the internal-audit yet...erm, WHY??? Plus, for some unknown reason it means the posters can't go up until the tickets have. Now, it would take even Ste Von or that lifeless f'er Lui a mere second to work out that you should publicise an event at your venue. Okay, maybe they can't sell the tickets I gave them and that I have to damned well pay commission for sales on but the posters give details of the card, the website AND WHERE TICKETS CAN BE BOUGHT FROM.

Top all this off with Micky Thomas joining the Army and me searching for a replacement, the hunt for Public Liability Insurance and the fact POW might not give me any coverage as they were burned by that PRICK Ryan Hewson and i'm sure you'll agree it's a pretty cruddy January so far. You know, it's not frikken wonder nobody has tried anything serious up here...you have to pay travel expenses to get a good roster up, venues have very little idea what to do AND the tribute promoters can use illegal promotion practices, break trademark law and use fake insurance certificates.

Anyway, that's todays update...sorry it can't be more cheerful. Anyone looking to invest in SCW, you'd better believe I'll literally kiss your ass right now and you know where to find me.

kenny , i dont wanna argue with you but i cant let the slide. When you slag off "tribute promoters" i sure as hell hope you aint talking about the owners of companys sutch as Midlands and All star who where at the top of this business long befor you even dremed of entering into this sport. Just show some god dam respect for the people who built this business that your trying to brake into. Pluss Dixen and Hawkins know a helluva lot more about business and wrestling than you do , learn from them , they r the most successful in this country.

Befor i go , i dont want you to get the wrong impression of this post , i have only made it because in my opinion you showed a lack of respect for someone who is a legend in this country , and who has been very nice and helpfull to me. Who are u to slag off these peoples busines tacticks , .

If you wanna contact me via email to sort this argument out feel free Mike_Musso@hotmail.com , id apreciate it.

Sorry to hear about the situation Tsu. I want every UK wrestling federation to succeed and do well, especially SCW or else I shall just jave a section on the English scene not the UK scene. I hope things pick up and that SCW is a big success.

Musso,

If you must know I'm having a pop at EVERYBODY who uses tribute wrestlers...

Dixon uses only UK Kane and UK Undertaker, it's kind of accepted that this is verging on iffy but the guy also tours the whole of the UK, gives a damned good product and actually makes money from it legitemately. All Star are one of the best UK Promotions for a good reason and I'm not going to take a single pot shot at a man who was at the top of his game years ago and is now still doing the best he can.

On the other hand, if you want my opinion of people like Shane Palmers or Orig Williams then my opinion is that they do absolutely nothing for wrestling in Britain, many of their practices are illegal to say the least AND their product could hardly be any worse.

I will say this though...Midlands are NOT at the top of anything. Doink, Sgt Slaughter, etc etc etc, exactly how little creative talent does it take to pawn that crap off as a product. (This will be where you talk about hundreds of kids getting to see The Undertaker) I may have only been promoting since September of 2001, but I have single handedly proved that the argument about not being able to get a decent card booked in Scotland is compete and utter BS. In fact, I probably have one of the best cards to appear in Scotland for bloody years. What I don't have is a paddle to wade through the mess left by tribute workers or the ability to expect amateur mistakes by people who should be looking to make themselves money if nothing else. Some of the people who I talk about as being "tribute" promoters have EXACTLY the amount of money that it would need to go legit up here and the exact amount of money that it would take to be a success...but guess what Mike, nobody will actually work with them as they know how those people work and they have very little respect for them.

:)

Today's update:-

We now have training facilities for the wrestlers currently scheduled to appear on the February 16th card. The fact that we don't have anyone with instructors insurance means that we are unable to cater for people looking to learn the basics etc...though, it wouldn't take very long at all to get that insurance sorted out.

Haven't spoken to the venue today, but hope to tomorrow as well as visiting a few schools to enquire about ways to get the word out to the pupils there. It's then onto Friday and phone calls to various people in the Scottish media.

I'll say this though...if anyone on this forum is considering going, I'd like to ask that you get your tickets asap. That way I can tell the venue that we have x tickets sold.

----

Public Liability Insurance... gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah, how in the name of hell do other Promotions manage to get theirs???? This may well be a case of squatting in an insurance companies reception area and refusing to leave.

look , kenny , are u listening to me ,. I am not the person you think i am , i do not have the views you think i do !!! ( keep in mind you formed an opinion of me 1 - 2 years ago when i was 14 / 15 i hardly think that is fair) . I will now openly admit to being out of order in that some times in the past when i may have delibretly caused arguments for the sake of causing arguments. Kenny i think we need to talk as i for 1 dont need all these enemys and in your position , neither do you.

I think i have been very mature and sivalised in the post and i expect the same in return.

Mike,

I didn't say anything about you...well apart from the Undertaker insinuation.

I don't feel I have many enemies at all, some are kids who I annoyed in chat and I'm not really worried about them. As for tribute promoters, they've never helped Scotland or really cared before so I don't see that as a problem either.

I'll also say that if you still run GWA, then i'm not interested in talking.
