As you can see, Edge has been in the WWF for more than 8 years now. The guy deserves his main eventer status right about now! He has been in the WWF for eight entire years, He is loyal, deserving, and he should have every right to wrestle as a main eventer. He has the looks, the experience, and most importantly, the talent needed to succeed in the wwf.

 

Within his eight years of wrestling, he has been ALL wwf. He has shown his loyalty, and his skillz. Edge is one of the most deserving, under-rated wrestler I have EVER seen. (Besides Christian etc.) Edge has won the King Of The Ring, and where is his elevated push? He only gets IC status as an award! He should be wrestling the top names in the WWF, like Austin, Rock and Trips.. Believe me when I say, He can take them on. When it comes to pure technacality, Edge beats every main-eventer in that position, except for likes of Booker and Angle.

 

In technical standards he is far off better than Rocky, and Austin. True, Austin and Rocky are capable of making the wwf championship look more than ‘just’ a prop, but I’m sure Edge can do it if he has an suitable opponent. With his current IC Reign, he has been only wrestling Regal. If the wwf lets Regal do his thing, (and not the help of the brass knucks) then this would have been a great fued. A fued every true wrestling fan would ever dream of. But, the bookers has decided to make Regal look bad. Edge is nothing but under-rated. He has enough wrestling skillz to be a wwf champion; even though he is not ready to be, but he’s deserving of a main eventer status.

 

He has the promos, mic skillz, entertainment ability that is needed to succeed as a main-eventer. He has hilarious promos, and his facial expressions arent to shabby either. Right now, Vince and his henchman (Bookers) are making Edge inferior than Big Show! It seems like the WWF is pushing everyone except for Edge, our 7th time Tag Team Champ, and KOTR Champion.

 

Edge right now, may not have the proper experience to excell as the World Wrestling Federation World Heavy Weight Champion, but he can easily, and I mean EASILY develop the skillz needed to be the champ. He developed mic skills after his ‘The Brood” saga, and look at him now! He had absolute no mic skills during his 'Brood' saga. But he had enough time to develop them, and look at his mic skillz now. Major difference no?

 

Face it, Edge is the future of the WWF. With Undertaker, Austin soon to be retiring, Angle going to take another shot at the olympics, Rocky shooting plenty of movies, who will be there to step up and replace their spots Billy Gunn? HELL - NO. Push Edge now. He won the KOTR for god sakes, he was supposely granted a WWF Title Shot! And he didnt get it! How would you feel? The embarrassment, he has lost his pride. More than Eight years in the making, and Finaly, winning the KOTR. This was suppose to mean that he is going to main-event soon, but where is he now? He was suppose to be granted a wwf title shot, but now, he’s stuck with crap wrestlers that wont benifit him at all. He has no choice, but to see others bypass him, getting valuble title shots. His pride, its shattered. Why is he not getting what he deserved? Eight God damn years in the making, wont the KOTR, but got lost in the shadow. Why you ask? Simply, in Vince’s opinion, there is NO room for any more main-eventers. How would you feel? Your pride, your confidence, your work, your..... your life.... Shattered; wasted.

anyway i kinda agree and disagree with your comments, i don't think Edge is quite ready to be a main eventer or rather win the WWF title yet (espically now since it's the undisputed tite) with the main boys. Sure he has the skills, but if he was crowned champ, then he would be seen as a transitional champ.

and as for not getting a push- winning KOTR and winning the IC might not be the greatest push but it's good enough for now. if history (and my memory) serves me correct, then when steve austin won king of the ring, he didn't go straight for the title picture, and now look at him.

8 Years? Not main eventer yet, i'd give it mid 2003.

Edge has been in the WWF for less than 4 years, he debuted mid-late 1998.

I agree that Edge has a great future. Edge vs Test will be the future in Main events! As for the 8 years thing, Edge debuted in 1997 but he may have been in WWF training before that at OVW which means that technically he may have been employed by the WWF for 8 years.

I really like Edge, and i do think one day he deserves the World Title, although now is too soon..

 

I think theres the idea of Too many main eventers spoiling the broth, which is gonna show now that HHH is back. At least one of the main eventers needs to be out of action these days to allow the rising midcarders to get a chance.

 

Are there too many guys who are considered "Main eventers"?
