Of couse England can win the world cup. When in the last 15 years have we had a David Beckham or an Owen and in 90 we got to the semis of the World cup and semis of Euro 96. Without the likes of Becks, Scholes, Owens, Gerrards and so on and the Argentinians have near enough the same players they had when we played them in 98 and they couldnt even beat us with ten men. Then we didnt have the likes of Carrick, Bowyer, Woodgate, joe Cole and so on an i dont care what the Scotts think cause we know there all jealous. COME ON ENGLAND...

Do you watch some sort of magical football the rest of us don't see. England don't have a snow balls chance in hell of winning the world cup. And Argentina are a far stronger side than they were in 98 with Saviola, Crespo, a more experienced Veron, Ortega and Ayala. And England failed to beat a pathetic Greece team who were destoryed 5 - 1 at home by Finland. They were outclassed by a Holland team that failed to quailfy and they couldn't beat a Sweden team with out Larrson, Ljundberg and Anderson. So they beat Germany in 5 - 1 away, big f'n deal, German football at international level is at it's lowest point ever.

wo wo wo wo wo. wait just there england do have a chance at winning the world cup, along with say 6 to 7 teams. The sour grapes from the scots on this subject is unbelivable, personally i'm going for italy.

 

But many people seem to think that it's set in stone that argentina will win, well your wrong, you can quote me on this but is a south american team win the world cup i'll drink a can of coke through my sock.

I agree, although we're not favourites we do have a chance of winning the World Cup, although I don't think we will.

 

Anyone out of Argentina, France, England, Spain or Italy and i'm going with Argentina.
