Everone knows the daddy of TV comedy was Red Dwarf, series 1 to 6 (and then it all went horribly wrong).

 

Big Train,

South Park (especially Timmy episodes),

Chewin' The Fat,

Bottom, and

League of Gentlemen.

 

All of these are shadowed however, by the late Tommy Cooper.

South park was good when it first came on and then it went gradually down hill from there o i forgot Sledgehammer and Tom green

Anything with Harry Hill, he's brilliant. The most consistently funny programme ever has to be The Simpsons though, even the repeats make me laugh.
