  1. After a powercut halted my viewing last night, just finished watching Mockingjay Part 1. I was curious as to where they were going to cut the book, and then felt dumb for not working it out as it was obvious. Loved it, can't wait for the last one now!!!
  2. Watched Grand Budapest Hotel last night. Really funny, very enjoyable. Some full on laugh out loud bits. Definitely againable.

Just finished watching Byzantium. Vampire movie with a twist. Popped it on to record after spotting a trailer when channel hopping. Saiorse Ronan and Gemma Arterton as daughter and mother vampires. Really very good.

  3. Birdman again, it's still great. I thought it was quite a bit funnier the second time, in a silly way. It might be on it's way to being one of my favourite films.

Finally got around to watching it. WEIRD but in the best possible way.

  4. This video will help. It looked like who ever Lou's opponant was was either trying to sandbag him or got scared so Lou just dumped him. It could have also been a botched counter. Believe it or not, but quite a few moves are innovated by botches.

The powerbomb in question is at about 1:48 in the vid. Hope that helped.

His opponent was, I believe, Antonino Rocca, who was a very talented wrestler, so I would imagine the powerbomb was meant to go like that.

The original "botched piledriver" version looked more like a Ganso Bomb in so much as the receiver's head slipped out of the aggressor's thighs and he just dropped him. From there, as with most moves-that-started-as-botches, it became more refined and eventually what we see today.

  5. Quicksand isn't named right - it's more slowsand. But that doesn't exactly strike the right amount of fear :lol It's only 'quick' because you can sink in normal sand, it just takes a much longer time. So it's quick in comparison to normal sand. Which, again, not very scary sounding :lol
