  1. As Greylien states above the stakes are so high in this day and age we’re talking about astronomic sums of money and as it stands this enthralling Premier League title race could come down to some tight rack of the eye offside desicion and that would be a dreadful way for it to end.

The Premier League however have probably gone about it the correct way allowing the other European leagues sort of iron out the issues before they really implement it.

The drama at the Etihad the other night was fantastic tv and thanks to the technology at the stadium it wasn’t really that confusing for fans who were attending the game. But if you happen to be at a stadium that maybe isn’t quite as luxurious then it can maybe a issue, and it’s really important that you don’t confuse the fans who are in the ground.

  2. AJ is the sort of guy who will always be nursing some sort of injury

Heading into his last Wrestle Kingdom where he also wrestled Nakamura there was real concern that he wouldn't make the match due to his constant back niggles. In the end he was fine, put on a 4 and half star match and made his WWE debut less than a month later.

  3. Not only is Roodes NXT theme a great Wrestling theme. But its also a great piece of music to start your day to. Its also a gtret piece of music to go to the gym with. its also great piece of music to listen to post sex. its also a great piece of music to listen to once youve just split up with your boyfriend/girlfriend with.

I'd go as far to say there is no task no big or small that this piece of music doesn't go with.

I want it played at my funeral!!

  4. Yeah I'd also put the 2 Netflix Marvel Shows that we've had so far ahead of this.

Gotham does a lot right but it's let down by shoddy writing and could be probably do with being cut from its 20+ episode runs down to something more manageable.

  5. Saw this yesterday and I'm probably going to take it in again over the weekend, not because I loved it but I need to try and get my head round everything.

However I don't think this a film that deserving of the reviews that it's getting. It's not a brilliant film by any stretch of the imagination but it's not the turd that many reviewers are making it out to be. In fact I left the theatre seriously pumped for Wonder Woman next year.

But for a film that's been in post for well over a year now the editing of this film is a abusmal and about half the way in it was seriously pissing me off. The 2nd half was much better with the Batman/Superman showdown being particularly brutal, even if the climax to it is just plain bizarre. The comparisons being given to the Will Ferrell film Step Brothers are totally just. Infact it's a line that Batman delivers a few scenes later about his relationship with Superman that had me laughing it was so utterly bizarre considering the battle that occurred just minutes beforehand. Affleck must of felt a proper dummy delivering it.

Affleck, Cavill, Gadot and Adams are all fine in this. Eisenbergs Luthor is ok but is written really badly. We know and see Batmans motivation but we don't with Luthor and considering a good chunk of the film is based around him then it in turn damages the film as a whole. Like I said I'll see it again and I'll pick up the Directors cut when it's released in July I pray to god this goes someway to fix the editing of the first half but I do fear what we got was a compromise and we'll end up with something even worse.

  6. The Rousey interview on Ellen was a tough watch.

Says she contemplated suicide in Melbourne after the Holm defeat. Knowing her families past I doubt she would say this in a trivial way.

She'll want another crack on Holm no doubt but got the feeling she could easily go one more and then out.

  7. Yeah it's sort of been referenced before but this was the first bona-fide name check. It was just to enable JBL to slag Russo off some more though.

I thought JBL came across better in the Bischoff interviews. There was a tad of snardyness in this one.

I binged on Breaking Ground last week. See Baron Corbin and Dana Brooke in a completely different light now.

  8. Im going on Tuesday post my final 12 hour night shift of 2015.

Both sets of trilogy's thus far have had iffy dialogue both Alec Guiness and Harrison Ford went on record saying as much about the first trilogy. But what it had going for it was that you actually give a damn about the characters.

As has already been said the Red Letter Media film pretty much gets The Phantom Menace spot on. Trade Negotians in a kids film, Darth Maul relegated to 10 minutes of screen time. Complete lack of a protagonist. The chunky dialogue is there for sure, but it's something that could of been worked round. Liam Neeson took a hiatus after this film but while Portman featured in the rest of the trilogy her career didn't really rebound until Black Swan. Hayden Christensen is still sort of around I think, while Jake Lloyd is a mess these days. You just don't care about who these people are! It hits home where the RLM film asks people to describe several characters from the original trilogy and then the prequel trilogy. The talking heads are full of adjectives for the likes of Han Solo and Princess Leia but when it comes to Queen Amidala they just laugh and say "hey I see what you've done here".

Ewan McGregor has sort of come away relatively unscathed but he had to go and ride his bike round the globe to get over the trauma of it all...

There has been talk within the fandom of McGregor reprising the role for one of the Anthology films and it's been generally met with approval. Maybe vindication that the work he did on those films is held in pretty good regard. I for one wouldn't complain if that came to pass.

I'm none to plussed about the scrapping of the Extended universe. I read one Darth Vader novel post ROTS and played the original Force Unleashed. I also played the original Knights of the Old Republic games which were really really good. But they were set like 2000 years before TPM so didn't really have much relevance.

  9. I finished this the other night and for the most part really enjoyed it.

Kilgrave is up their with Fisk and Loki as the best Marvel on screen villains. Tennant plays him almost as a villainous 10th Doctor there are many mannerisms that almost seem lifted from Doctor Who but with that villainous twist.

Ritter does a great job as Jones although i would of preferred it is she was a little more fleshed out. Shes a Alcoholic as well as a PI but both of these things are only just touched on.

I also thought there was a bit too much filler. It could of easily been trimmed down to 10 episodes. I appreciate that Hogarth may have a bigger role going forward in the Netflix shows but her divorce subplot was just plain dull. The whole thing with Jessicas accident, IGH and Simpsons seemingly bizarre heel turn resulting from his super soldier program really felt as filler and they almost acknowledge that its as much with Jessica casually brushing it off.

Also having Claire Temple just pop up in the final episode felt forced almost as if it was a last minute decision to include her.

But yeah it does alot of things right, bringing up subjects such as abusive behavior and rape, as well as the whole tone of the show really. I really like the show but for me it never quite reaches the heights that Daredevil did earlier this year.

  10. Nathan Jones also pops up which I think is the first time I've seen him since Troy.

Immortan Joe being played by the bloke who played Toecutter is a good know towards the Gibson films. I don't want to say original trilogy as I think this is just a continuation of the Mad Max mythology.

But yeah this is a great film where I found myself gripping the arm rests at times as it was so unrelenting.

  11. My Mania moment last year was WAY bigger than Mitchs 3 second cameo this year.

I was featured on TMZ, The Sydney Morning Herald, The Baltimore Sun, Yahoo Sports, The Daily Mirror and Fox Sports to name a few. Vince McMahon himself even aluded to me on a documentary that was screened on his Network.

I'm glad Mitch had a good time at Mania, but man lad ain't got shit on me!

  12. I appear to have moderation powers outside of Other Sports. So far I've approved and unapproved several Jayfunk posts and altered a DC thread title all out of my jurisdiction.

I may of had this power on the old vBullitin site but its only with the change that ive noticed it.
