  1. Despite my reservations, I see mobile gaming as the direction for the future. Many people may not so much buy into the idea now, but the hype could cause them to consider it. Gaming, like most other things tech-related, evolves so fast.
  2. A good book isn't always a bestseller. In my view, it is that which gets read widely and receives good reviews. Some books get hyped and get mixed reviews, whereas others get popular without a lot of advertising.

Absolutely! Some books fly off the shelf just because the author is well-known or has written good books before. There could be a few other authors who are gifted but still don't have a global audience. Maybe there's also an aspect of timing!

  3. Thank you all for your responses; at least now I have an idea of what to do, which is to psyche myself up and get back to routine. The idea of getting a partner should arise when ready to play my part and be accountable.
  4. I don't consider myself much of a gamer, but still, I have never thought of gaming on my phone or tablet. I have seen consoles for hand-held devices on sale, and this could mean that more and more people play games on the go!
  5. With the restriction of movement in place, I assumed that keeping fit wasn't going to be a problem. However, I haven't been consistent in the past few weeks. Now I understand why some people opt to have others who keep them in check. Do you usually train alone or with a group?
  6. Jordan Pickford was pretty awful and made some big errors as goalkeeper. I'm surprised he's lasted as long as he has. It didn't seem to hurt overall, though.

Pickford has been lucky because the team is now more organized and is not very porous at the back. Except for a few errors so far, he has shown some improvement this season. Is Everton going to sustain the form throughout the season?

  7. Games used to be harder back in the day, or so I think. Modern games have considered toning down the difficulty with the result of giving a smooth experience to as many players as possible. Ninja Gaiden II was so complicated for me, even at 'normal' difficulty.
  8. Their egos get too big.

I agree; there's nothing as hard to tame as an inflated ego. All the same, I am sure that there are a few bands whose members broke away, then went on to have successful solo careers.

  9. All I know about Kiss is that it was a rock band with members who wore unique costumes and make-up. The Beatles is probably the best band of all time; I even got a book to try and understand what Beatlemania was all about. Why do great bands break up after a while?
  10. Escape from Alcatraz and the Shawshank Redemption are two of my favorite old movies.

I loved Bull Durham too. I have never heard of Honey. How old is that one?

Honey is 17 years old. Back in the day, I used to fancy movies with a dance theme, and so You Got Served, Save The Last Dance, Step Up and Step Up 2 are movies I can always rewatch. Whether I am a good dancer is a story for another day!

  11. I seem to be watching anything and everything now, considering the amount of time at my disposal. The trailer just made add this to my to-watch list. It's been a while since I binge-watched!
  12. Everywhere I go, I hear someone mention Zoom, then I ask myself, why haven't I joined the bandwagon yet? @Boomer, I heard about groups getting kicked out after 40 minutes, then having to go through the trouble of logging in again. It makes sense for those who use it frequently to pay for a subscription service.
  13. I am not so good with names, so I either don't recall a favorite actor's name or don't quickly remember the title of a movie. Nonetheless, the names in this thread remind me of certain movies I watched and enjoyed in the past. It could be the right time for me to start paying more attention!
  14. These rumors have recently been making the rounds, but the WWE isn't so keen on it. Do you recall Punk walking out of the WWE after the 2014 Royal Rumble? He seemed to have made his mind then. Nonetheless, we will have to wait and see how this unfolds!
  15. I must admit that movies have not been my thing in the last few years, but after checking 1917's plot, I am interested in watching it. Do you choose what to watch based on IMDb ratings and the producer in question?
  16. Benoit was one of my all time favorites too. The current medical opinion seems to be that he was out of his mind at the end of his life. Maybe it was brain damage, maybe it was psychotic break due to depression or other things, but whatever it was, he wasn't his normal self. That doesn't erase what he did, but for me at least, it sort of provides that barrier and distinction that he wasn't in his right state of mind anymore. If he hadn't of killed himself, it's entirely possible he would've been committed to a mental institution. Or wouldn't have done it at all...ugh.

Very much on point! What he achieved cannot be erased by the unfortunate turn of events. Many athletes have graced the WWE, and what strikes most of us is the sort of personality and fighting style that they brought to the ring.

  17. I love to read and I love to be social. I have not joined a book club yet but I would if there was one in my area. I'm pretty particular with what I read so I'm not sure I would like someone picking the book that I had to read.

The major downside of any book club is people will have different tastes and preferences, and this may not match ours. The upside is that there is some discipline that results from having accountability partners.

  18. I never connect to public WiFi whether or not it is the only option at hand. There is a massive flaw in WPA2, and a hacker can assess personal information. With free WiFi, hackers can position themselves between you and the connection point.
  19. Not to brag, but I really can't think of anything. I keep myself so busy I don't give myself the luxury of procrastination.

I'm putting off being lazy. There, I'll go with that. LOL.

I also want to be able to do what I need to do on time, without yielding to the luxury of procrastination. The more I can perform some tasks promptly, the lesser I will have to think of what I should have done.

  20. Yeah, and I find that I get anxiety if I'm "out there" for too long. This isn't a reflection on people in general, this is all me. It's a me thing.

Every time I am out there, I keep looking forward to getting home and enjoying some solitude. Is it about some people being introverted and extroverted at the same time?
