Summer Olympics
@KaliR , it looked like a mix of covering up, not wanting to spook the local population too much, and carefully timing announcements based on what other countries were saying and doing.

Tiger King
I'm taking my time with this. On the 4th of the 7 original episodes (an 8th got added recently). It keeps getting weirder and sadder.

Summer Olympics
I noticed that right after the postponement announcement, Japan's government and/or media got a lot more transparent about the C19 spread within the country.

Tiger King
Have you seen this yet? I just started the second episode. Not sure if it's a binge watch for me, but for sure it's not a boring story! Pretty crazy.

Binge watching
Silicon Valley was hilarious. I was bummed when I got to the end! Now, I'm slowly binge watching Violet Evergarden (Netflix anime) and The Sopranos.

Best animation of all time
You're welcome! I loved it and Toy Story 3, just slightly less than the others. How about you? Another great one is The Iron Giant.

Summer Olympics
I'm also thinking postponement, maybe even waiting until 2021. Various national groups are asking for delays. I wouldn't be surprised if the games got cancelled, very unfortunately.

Best animation of all time
My top picks are Toy Story and Toy Story 2. They're really well-written and hilarious. My next is a tie between Kiki's Delivery Service and Spirited Away. Such amazing details.

Coronavirus
So, I'm now hearing that in the US (and I sure hope in other places), a universal basic income-type of payment is on the table for businesses and/or individuals.

Coronavirus
Seems like there's a new announcement every few hours! I wonder how well, or iffy, these sudden switches to online work and school will go.

Binge watching
I finally started Silicon Valley. It has that Mike Judge touch (think Office Space but with tech startup guys) where there's lots of awkward moments.

Coronavirus
Yeah. Regular precautions, as if you and your closest have colds, are reasonable. I don't see the need to panic buy loads of toilet paper (which seems to be shopping item #1) and bottled water. Guess it never hurts to stock up on some anyway? Also, it's disappointing hearing about price gouging on hand sanitizers.

1917
This was great. My favorite scene is when the soldier sings "Wayfaring Stranger" in the forest. Sad and beautiful — the song and the men.

Who stills celebrates birthdays?
I don't think they ever did. Also, I didn't tell friends my birthday and they didn't ask when it was anyway. Looking back, I don't think I really missed out.
