1. Currently listening to a brand new Peavey amp being broken in... My ears are ringing :(
2. It's Mam here as most kids are brought up with the Welsh way of talking about family (mam, taid, nain, etc). My boys call me Mum but occasionally I get Mam.
3. I Drove All Night - Roy Orbison.
4. I did contemplate Free but Flames pips it to the post for me, i'm afraid!
5. There are very few people I hate. Hate is a strong word that people just throw about willy-nilly. There are a lot of people I dislike strongly though. As Mitch has said, though, I base it on a case by case situation. I give people too many chances though, when it comes to them trying to prove they aren't the **** they came across as the first or second time I've dealt with them. I wish I didn't give people so many chances as it usually bites me on the arse... As for this forum, there are very very few people I dislike, and perhaps only 1 or 2 I ALMOST hate but none I actually hate. More that I have no time for them or their rantings.
6. Crap, i'm a bit late! Totally forgot to get mine up. Fell in love with this song when I watched Death Proof not long ago. Really can't get enough of it now. Also, the hot woman in this video helps a bit... Flames by VAST. I adore this song. It's beautifull haunting and reminds me of a very rough time of my life that I came through far stronger. Struggled to find a video that was more than just a still image though.
7. Enjoyed the newsletter this fortnight. Some of the new columns are really good. Inno, yours was a smidge depressing though...
8. Gerry Rafferty - Baker Street Hmm... Found the beginning really kinda whiny but once it actually started I got uber goosebumps. Always loved this tune! 9/10 Pearl Jam - Rearviewmirror I love Pearl Jam with a fiery passion. One of the sexiest voices ever. Not enough Pearl Jam in the video though! This is the sort of music I listened to throughout the latter part of my high school so it has great memories. And I love this one! 10/10 Papa Roach - To Be Loved Heard this a gazillion times before, obviously, but still really like it. I like Papa Roach quite a bit actually - one of those bands that seem to have grown on me. 8/10 Skillet - Comatose Love it!!! All kinds of loving it! Just the whole thing. 9/10 Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here Not my favourite Floyd tune by a huge mragin but I do like it. Very mellow and relaxed. 6/10 Pomp and Circumstance No1 I do like some classical music but not a huge fan of this i'm afraid. 3/10
9. THAT'S IT!!! It wasn't an advert i'd heard it on, it was the Weird Al thing!!! Ha, that's superb.
10. It was crap and kinda boring as fake arguments go.
11. Think that's why I love his music. Not remotely serious. He always seems to really enjoy himself!
12. Darius Rucker - Alright Cute!A happy wee tune. Gives off that 'summer' vibe. Though he does have the worldst shiniest teeth... Slightly distracting lol! Still, 8/10 The Wildhearts -Chutzpah! Oh I like this!! I like The Wildhearts anyway so kind of figured I would. Kind of all over the place but that's not a bad thing. 9/10 The Divine Comedy - Bad Ambassador S'alright. I'm just not tingly with loving it. Very much the kind of music i'd have in the background but wouldn't really be paying much attention to. 5/10 A Girl Called Eddy - Somebody Hurt You She ahs a lovely voice. Really pretty. Song was a bit the sort of thing my Dad would listen to on one of his non-cool days lol. It's okay, very much feeling the same as the last one. Just backgroundmusic for me. Sorry hun! 5/10 The Kinks - Lola YAY I love this song! (Can anybody remind me what advert the tune was used for, it's escaped my memory...). Just a generally awesome tune. 10/10 Billy Idol - Rebel Yell God I love Billy Idol. Can't believe you didn't realise it was him, DS! Tut tut lol.I never tire of listening to him. Just everything about the music gives me goosebumps and reminds me of being far younger and far more innocent lol. (yes, that time did exist...)Did you know he got his look from Spike :P Anyway, this isn't even my favourite of his but still gets an easy 10/10
13. But the thing is, there's not liking something and there's finding fault in everything. You aren't even looking for the good in ANYTHING and it's just ridiculous. Everybody has their favourite music genres but people with half a sense can look past their anality (it's a word...) and find at least something good in everything. If they try. And are actually willing to not just click 'play' and instantly say 'hate it'. You stopped giving everything 1/10 because people were saying it was stupid and now you just give it 2/10. If we keep on at you, will you change it to everything getting 3/10?!? Ifyou know you will hate everything, why bother even entering??
14. All American Rejects - Another Heart Calls I quite like this. I like AllAmerican Rejects by and large. I like the guys voice. Liked the build up to the chorus and then the drop back down. Yup, very againale. Inno, get this for me an email it!!! 8/10 All Time Low - Weightless Astonishingly bad lip synching in the video! Decent ish song but a bit 'done' I feel. 4/10 Kenny Chesney w/ Dave Matthews - Alive Ha, I see what Shaun means about the start being a bit Toy Story esque! Bit too mellow for me - the music just seemed like it was trying to depress me. It tried but dammit I have more will power! It's a nice song but I can guarantee this will be the one and only time I choose to listen to it! 4/10 Mastodon - Blood and Thunder Bit screechy for me but the music is fairly decent. My brother is a big Mastadon fan so has tried getting me into them. It failed. I'd listen to this again which is better than the last one! 5/10
15. Daughtry - Feels Like Tonight Lovely voice. Liked the song too. Againable. I'll be 'aquiring' this one I think! 9/10 Green River Ordinance - Come On Oh I like this! It's a cute wee tune. Danceable to. Specifically liked the verses. Cute! 8/10 Turisa - Rasputin My Dad introduced me to Rasputin some years back, can't say I've listened to them since. Really enjoyed this one though! 8/10 Dropkick Murphys - I'm Shipping to Boston I adore Dropkick Murphys. Saw them live a few eyars ago, they opened for The Pogues. They ooze ace ness. The are a band I flitter onto now and then, occasionally forgetting about them then going back. This isn't my fav of their (that place saved for Wild Rover which I love more than life itself!) but still a superb tune. 9/10 The Killers - Human I'mundecided on The Killers. I like them sometimes and can't stand them toher times. This time, definite likage! I'll listen to this agin. Liked the build up to chorus, which should have been heavier in my opinion. 8/10 Kasabian - Clubfoot Agree with what DS said about removing the singing - that' make it even catchier. I like this, very catchy but I wouldn't stuick it on my mp3 player as it'd possibly annoy me after a while! 7/10
16. I'll get my reviews up later but had to comment - brave checking some of their other stuff out, they're pretty good and I think you'll quite like them. Pogues-y but a bit funkier.
17. Madvillian - All Caps A world of no. Repetitive, and not the good kind of repetitive. Gave me a headhace! It's only saving grace was a brief moment of trumpet which I found so odd it made me giggle. 1/10 The Beatles - I Want You (She's So Heavy) Not at all a Beatles song i'd listen to, or have heard more than 2 or 3 times before to be honest. I'm not a huge Beatles fan anyway though I won't turn them off. Found this really dull though. I like happy jolly Yellow Submarine Beatles! 3/10
18. Buffy YAY! But how can Grey's Anatomy be on the don't watch? Mind you, this list will be made by a handful of people so not exactly a fair assessment!
19. And all convicted? Like 69 counts of rape, molestation, etc? Not an attack, curious as i'm not sure of all of them...
