  1. Where to? Obviously head to the marquee events in Oberhausen but you need to do Hamburg. The crowd, atmosphere and of course the legendary Markthalle make these events very special.
  2. That reaction tho. Seriously can't wait for BSS vs. CCK
  3. I had to have another look, I remember refreshing the results on Hashtag Wrestling. Apparently it was per Knockout!
  4. What crocks of shit the people behind 5-Star Wrestling are. Using a terror attack as an excuse to wrestlers as to why they had to cancel 15 shows in massive arenas. They're still selling tickets for the events too and haven't even made an announcement. Silly enough, that their CM Punk/1 Million Dollars backfired on them, how on earth did they think they could pull this off? Feel bad for the fans, who have been ripped off by these slimeballs. Brit Wrestling is flourishing and they're still some shitheads around like it's still the 2000's.
  5. Yeah I saw that, any other CZW guys on tour in England? Figure if CCK isn't going over the pond for a small tour then Scarlet and Graves will get them back eventually. Still, totally unexpected. In other news, Toni Storm became the first PROGRESS Ladies Champion yesterday after beating Jinny and Laura Di Matteo in Day 2 of the Super Strong Style 16 Tournament and Trent Seven lost in the first round to Matt Riddle via submission in 6 Seconds! :omg: He shall now be known as Trent Six. :D And how about this. Grado and Joe Coffey have got their opponents for ICW Shugs Hoose Party 4. Sha Samuels and for one night only Noam Dar!
  6. WWE held their usual tryouts in the UK before RAW kicked off in London. William Regal, Matt Bloom and Steve Corino were there to scout. Looking at the article and the photos, here a few names that took part: - Jurn Simmons - Marius Al-Ani - BT Gunn - Stevie Boy - Martin Kirby - Flash Morgan Webster - Travis Banks - TK Cooper - Chris Brookes - Adam “Flex” Maxted - Juvenile X - T-K-O - Josh Bodom - Chris Tyler - Sadie Gibbs - "Big Grizzly" Steve Griffiths - Liam Thomson - Ivan Kostadinov http://www.wwe.com/shows/wwenxt/article/wwe-tryout-london-may-2017 Happy that they've got the opportunity but if Jurn Simmons and Marius Al-Ani leave wXw, I'll be a sad bunny. Jurn is on fire and Marius hasn't used his full potential yet. Happy for #CCK, TK Cooper and Flash though.
  7. In unexpected news, Axel Dieter Jr. is leaving wXw at the end of the month to head overseas. NXT is the rumour going round and obviously the most likely. All the best for him, but it's kind of a bummer because I feel his story and the Ringkampf story didn't climax properly and he certainly had a lot more to go as a singles competitor. Both he and Walter also started a great run for PROGRESS too. He's really going to leave a gap for wXw but the future is bright.
  8. Just imagine them seeing what Jimmy Havoc can do. Props to Travis Banks, Toni Storm and Jinny. Great talent.
  9. Lionheart vs. Joe Hendry is set for Barrowmania III!
  10. So after a massive and awesome 16 Carat Gold Tournament. Ilja Dragunov defeated Walter in a brutal match. I have never wanted a chop-fest to stop, Walter just didn't stop and skin was ripping off. My chest was literally hurting with Ilja. Look at the guys chest and really check this guy out in the next upcoming months. In fact, watch and listen to what Walter just does. https://twitter.com/wXwGermany/status/841014227607408642
  11. Update on Lionheart/Hendry: http://www.insanewrestling.co.uk/news/stories/lionheart_hendry_statement/ And that's that.
  12. I was actually going to post about this after reading through some comments in the official ICW group on Facebook. But weren't the said comments by Lionheart said in a promo on a show Hendry wasn't on? I couldn't understand what was said because of Scottish people actually writing on FB/Twitter like how they would talk in real life. xD I'm not sure if it's a full shoot, Lionheart has been open about this on Twitter and has taken Hendry off his Pro Wrestling Elite show. I'd have thought that for it to be a full shoot, fists would have been flying but maybe in this case, it was Hendry trying to out-wrestle and embarrass Lionheart. (Lionheart mentioned it happening before with Jackie Polo in a statement on Twitter) It really should have been handled backstage, Hendry is better than that. I also think it's harsh that Lionheart is the only one getting scratched from the tour. Who knows where it'll go on from here, maybe they'll go further and make the real-life heat into a work. Depends on if Dallas will go on board with it. ----------------- Has anyone read or heard about comments made by the PCW social media team (probably Fludder) being total dicks to fans regarding the Kris Travis tournament and profits not going to charity? Well Pete Dunne pulled himself from the show due to "insensitive comments", was replaced by Marty Scurll and he cancelled too. So Pentagon's without an opponent as of right now. Not sure on the current situation, all loosely based on stuff I've read on UKFF and twitter. ---------------------- Also going to my first wXw show of the year tomorrow in Hamburg. Commenwealth Catch Kings better be taking over!
  13. One of Europe's prestige tournaments today is on the horizon with wXw 16 Carat Gold commencing on 10. - 12. March. I for one cannot wait and it looks to be sold out in the next couple of days. Unfortunately, Tyler Bate and Pete Dunne were pulled from the tournament due to WWE commitments. Here's the 1st Round draw (shoddy draw aside :D) http://www.wxw-wrestling.com/pages/posts/wxw-16-carat-gold-2017-3278.php http://www.wxw-wrestling.com/media/2017/16_Carat_Gold_2017/16_Carat_2017_Matchgrafik_DAY_1_Ilja_Dragunov_vs._Robert_Dreissker.jpg http://www.wxw-wrestling.com/media/2017/16_Carat_Gold_2017/16_Carat_2017_Matchgrafik_DAY_1_Mike_Bailey_vs._ACH.jpg http://www.wxw-wrestling.com/media/2017/16_Carat_Gold_2017/16_Carat_2017_Matchgrafik_DAY_1_JT_Dunn_vs._Marius_Al-Ani.jpg http://www.wxw-wrestling.com/media/2017/16_Carat_Gold_2017/16_Carat_2017_Matchgrafik_DAY_1_Koji_Kanemoto_vs._Timothy_Thatcher.jpg http://www.wxw-wrestling.com/media/2017/16_Carat_Gold_2017/16_Carat_2017_Matchgrafik_DAY_1_Cody_Rhodes_vs._Winner_Road_to.jpg http://www.wxw-wrestling.com/media/2017/16_Carat_Gold_2017/16_Carat_2017_Matchgrafik_DAY_1_David_Starr_vs._Walter.jpg http://www.wxw-wrestling.com/media/2017/16_Carat_Gold_2017/16_Carat_2017_Matchgrafik_DAY_1_Donovan_Dijak_vs._Matt_Riddle.jpg http://www.wxw-wrestling.com/media/2017/16_Carat_Gold_2017/16_Carat_2017_Matchgrafik_DAY_1_Bad_Bones_vs._Paul_London.jpg After defeating WALTER in a no. 1 Contendership match in London, 2 weeks ago, Jurn Simmons will face Axel Dieter Jr. for the wXw Unified World Wrestling Championship. http://www.wxw-wrestling.com/media/2017/16_Carat_Gold_2017/16_Carat_2017_Matchgrafik_DAY_2_Axel_Dieter_Jr._vs._Jurn_Simmons.jpg Some guys will be pulling double-duty with Ambition 8 also taking place Saturday afternoon. Ambition is kind of a shoot-style wrestling tournament. http://www.wxw-wrestling.com/media/2017/16_Carat_Gold_2017/AMBITIOn_8.jpg And unless you've been living under a rock. Look at this announcement.
  14. A slight spoiler concerning Tyler Bate and Wolfgang. Also, this 5 Star Wrestling thing was really just a showcase of former WWE stars right? Meh, don't know about that..
  15. So here's HHH answer to all the speculation: http://www.wrestlezone.com/news/798529-mike-johnson-confronts-triple-h-over-concerns-that-wwe-is-starting-the-end-of-the-european-indy-scene So that's a bold statement, if it's streamed, they're taken off. Possibly a slight shot at What Culture? A bit ironic though.... That said, it's ultimately down to the talent themselves and more power to them of course.
  16. That would be real shitty move by TNA to pull talent from bookings. Depending on who you are, you're not earning big at that place. How's a wrestler supposed to earn money, if TNA tape a few days every three months and do no live tours? I think other than Lashley, everyone else is taking bookings. With WWE, at least as one of the UK Talent, you're earning quite a bit with additional bookings elsewhere (well if the talent isn't pulled). I'm interested to see where this 5 Star Wrestling thing is going on Spike TV in the UK. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JJg1SQ-d658
  17. wXw haven't signed a deal but they did have one event in the FloSlam schedule but that's besides the point. wXw still have their own Network though but don't broadcast live and due to the fact that they were "important" matches, you can't make dark bonus matches for the fans, wXw were booked into the corner. That said, I read it was because of WWE commitments and them having to fly over, so WWE have of course priority and we shouldn't judge them for making the jump. Bate and Dunne were announced for a ton of shows right after the tournament ended including Fight Club: PRO and Progress, so they're still available. wXw are waiting for a response regarding future bookings but if it proves to be a slight disadvantage, then that's where they'll draw the line and book other talents. I'm also now on the fence like you Chris. I remember William Regal mentioning something on the lines that they're not "exclusive" contracts. So I thought bookings would be at least OK but disallowing promotions to at least show the matches is just balls.
  18. Moustache Mountain and Pete Dunne have also been pulled from the wXw Show in London on Saturday. Seems like they're heading to Texas for the Royal Rumble weekend. Quite a bummer, Moustache Mountain were supposed to fight for the tag titles and Dunne was supposed to take on Jody Fleisch in a 16 Carat qualifier. Dunne was also announced for the Hamburg Show in February in an encounter with Ilja Dragunov. A match everyone over here desperately wants to see, me included. Hope it doesn't get binned.
  19. I don't think so. Fenix left back in September wasn't it and he's still part of Lucha Underground. He won't be able to use Pentagon Jr. but he was going with Pentagon Dark for a while now anyways.
  20. I'd imagine that they'll just cover UK Title defences for now before plans for an actual network show get the green light. In that case, I can see them toning down for a match or two but the whole product as we know it will probably stay the same. RevPro held Higher Stakes on Saturday. Read some mixed reactions towards the Sabre Jr. and Marty Scurll 41 minutes match on Twitter and over on UKFF.
  21. Thanks DC, tried to look to who the website was registered to on my phone to no avail. Looks like Will Ospreay is also in on the boat and will be overlooking creative with Ryan Smile. In other news, looks like the WWE UK Tournament competitors contracts clauses are coming into effect. Pete Dunne and Joseph Conners were supposed to compete for IPW:UK tomorrow, which will also broadcast live on FloSlam. Unfortunately Conners will now not compete and Dunne will compete just for the live audience. Seems like this will effect a lot of promotions who book such talent, stream their content and haven't entered talks with the WWE.
  22. So I just wanted to bump this up a bit seeing as the scene has become even more popular due to the WWE UK Tournament and possibly the fast rise of What Culture Pro Wrestling. I think it would be a shame to not go with the flow and generate a bit of traffic through the interest of British and European Wrestling. So just a quick question: Anyone know who's behind the Lucha Forever project? I figured it's once again another promotion from the West Midlands as they've got shows in Birmingham and in Cardiff. They've booked a the likes of Scurll, Sabre Jr., Dunne etc. and are just about going down the Lucha Underground route with Intergender matches, Trio Titles and so on. @dsrchris you have an idea?
  23. Video package and all, it was nice but I'm pretty much tired of the Bullet Club at this point.
  24. Seems like Adam Cole is some what rumoured to be taking the WWE path soon. Thing is with Chris Hero, unless his knees aren't aching he's still agile and in good form for his bloated size. I saw him in October and he hasn't lost it in my opinion.
  25. I'd agree with you size and presence but I'd give, based on overall quality alone, Progress the prize of being the current "best" on the UK Scene right now.
