  1. Hey Boyo, looks like a challenge!
  2. Fully with you there Cactus, my fiance spent all day saying how the Eugene gimmick was 'wrong', but after seeing the segment she now loves him! Go Dinsmore! I like the slow turn they're doing with Regal, seems more natural than most.
  3. Oh crap, my g/f is gonna kill me! I've just managed to accidentaly bid £70 for a pair of tickets for the Manchester show. Block 104, lower tier, row D, seats 7+8. But I know I cannot go that day. PS are they good seats anyone?
  4. He was called the Crippler after he dumped Sabu on his head to fracture a vertabre! Not from the crossface- Stu trained him better than to actually use full strengh on a move like that!
  5. Yeah it was. But damn, it still makes me feel good. Will Benoit keep the title much longer though? I'm a full mark for the crippler (no NOT you matey-you know who you are) and would love to see him keep it for a while.
  6. Sounds about when I was there. I was a short, plump man who allways wore cutoff denim shorts and a black T-Shirt. My real name was Paul, and I spent a few weeks teaming/training with a bloke who was shorter than me called Peter. My first loss there was by crossface, hence why I know it hurts like hell.
  7. Hey everyone, after a week without a computer I'm back! The only move that hurts more than the crossface (IMO) is the Tazzmission ( sorry, don't know the judo spelling ). I trained at the NWA UK Hammerlock Sheffield training center a few years ago and of all the moves I've been in, those were the most painfull by far.
  8. Come on man-have you not heard the pop on that thing? It was like if Torrie and Stacey got down to hardcore HLA an camera! Well not quite that bad........
  9. But not as over with the crowds as the WORM or the Peoples Elbow (oh the shame). At least the crossface looks like it hurts!
  10. It still hurts belive me! The reason to twist the arm is to create additional pain in the shoulder. Even without this the move badly hurts the neck and (depending on how the hands are grasped) face. Admittedly it looks better when done full on, but hey whos perfect? But to be honest if Benoit used a hip toss as a finisher I'd mark for it. Loved him since ECW.
  11. Compere the ammount of injuries caused by Goldberg (1, that I know of) that meant people needed some sort of treatment beyond a couple of painkillers, and the mess RVD has made out of people. In his first 6 months alone he was responsable for I think it was 7 people needing stitches. Yes Goldbergs power based moves are potentially leathal, but even the best can make mistakes i.e. the Owen Hart piledriver! And few of Da Mans moves are actually that badly performed (now, in WCW was a different matter), I'd feel safer with him than Y2J for example. Yes Goldberg is stiff-which is why a fued with Stone Cold is a bad plan- but when your offence is based on power moves its hard to make them into soft landings.
  12. The Jackhammer is an easy move to get wrong. If your elbow is out of place when you bring the other guy down to the slam then the recipient has severe problems with his testicals. No jokes about crappy mid carders please! But anyway, Goldberg isn't the only wrestler whos known as clumsy and/or stiff, there's also Jerico (both), Lesnar (stiff), Show (BOTH!!) ect ect.... All 3 of those I mentioned have held the world title and been damned lucky not to have seriosly hurt someone, or themselves. And Bret was lusky compared to some, look what a decent "technical" wrestler did to Droz!
  13. no one would work with him if they thought it was!
  14. Yeah, according to Bret.
  15. He did apologise didn't he? In his biography, or am I going mad? Or both? lol
