  1. You're getting two Hogans as part of the Hulkamania collectors edition which comes with a piece of the ring mat from when Hogan returned.
  2. For 2K, wrestling games are still a new idea to them. 2K has had years of experience with their NBA series, but this is their first proper cycle with the WWE game. From what I've seen so far, gameplay does look improved, aside from the same animations and stuff. As of right now, I don't believe 2K have made any of the THQ promises of X improvement or Y improvement, all the people who are noticing the improvements have had first hand experience with the game, such as IGN and people at Gamescom right now.
  3. Of course they're using animations from previous years, you think they're gonna get rid of good stuff from years gone by just for a fresher animation? The game looks vastly superior to last years iteration from graphics alone. You haven't seen true gameplay yet, because everything that has been released hasn't been from a full match. I'm saying what I've seen so far looks SO MUCH BETTER than last years, like it's on a different level. 2K, VC and Yukes are actually putting some much needed work into the gameplay. If you don't see it, then maybe wait a lil bit until proper gameplay comes out. EDIT: I might aswell add, you're not going to get hugely improved gameplay. You only get incremental updates year over year because that's how the year over year gaming business works. See FIFA, CoD, Assassin's Creed, etc. I swear we had this discussion last year too.
  4. The first one blew my mind a little bit when Orton used to ropes to get back to his feet. That looked cool.
  5. [video=youtube;v9nvqUln-Qk]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v9nvqUln-Qk [video=youtube;5hI-dIaKXpI] Here's some off-screen footage from Gamescom. Looks gorgeous.

    WWE Network

It's apparently hit 170 countries, just not us. Not sure what other countries are in the cold too, but yeah. Essentially. :/

    WWE Network

It didn't truly go global. WWE Network will be with us by October 1st, or so they say. Yes, the network is in HD. PPV wise, they have a few hiccups here and there.
  8. Turns out the lucky git was from IGN's Portuguese team. Here's the article link.
  9. 2K15 is apparently being showcased at GamesCom in Germany, and one lucky git got his hands on it. Here are his thoughts (translated from German, for better or worse.) This sounds really promising.
  10. I wrote this as a thing for my website, but I'm gonna post it here too so at least a discussion can be opened up. Clicky here to follow the white rabbit. Or... If you don't want to go visit my website, here's the article in a tidy lil' quote box.
  11. The man has to be admired, I'm sure we all love Heenan anyway, but a lesser man would hide away. Heenan is a trooper, still has his trademark sense of humour and everything. I damn near cried when I read a story about a fan who met him and was thanking him for everything he did in his career and how he was sorry that Heenan had to go through his health issues. Heenan's response? "Don't cry for me, I have lived a wonderful life.". Oh man. The feels.
  12. Kristal Marshall. EDIT: uhh.. Her. http://img3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20100131163252/prowrestling/images/d/d4/Kristal_Marshall_3.jpg
  13. Oh. My. Fucking. God. EDIT: More details Year on year, Yuke's has consistently found ways to make their WWE games more dense and feature complete, and from the first details we've gotten on WWE 2K15, that trend is going to continue. Let’s take a broad overview of just what you can expect from this year's outing in the squared circle – both on last-gen and current gen – starting with the new story mode, 2K Showcase. Last year, WWE 2K14 electrified with its sprawling campaign mode, 30 Years of Wrestlemania. 2K15 is looking to tell a more focused, up-close-and-personal story than the broad historic view offered in 2K14. 2K Showcase will be broken up into two episodes, each one focusing in tightly on an epic rivalry from the WWE’s past. Think of them as mini-documentaries of a sort. Could it be Rock vs Austin? Undertaker vs Kane? 2K hasn't spilled the beans just yet, but rest assured we'll be the first to know, and when we do, so will you. If the excellent 30 Years of Wrestlemania was any indication, though, the authenticity of the presentation will make these rivalries a treat to play through. In addition to reliving these golden WWE memories, you'll finally have a true, discreet career mode for your created wrestlers in MyCareer. This mode has been lifted from NBA 2K14 and adapted to the WWE environment. While I didn't think the mode had the right synergy with the NBA, the WWE seems like a logical place to apply it. Imagine replacing all those cheese-ball, amateur hour characters and cutscenes with authentically voiced and mo-capped WWE Superstars. You get the picture. Exact details of the mode are still forthcoming, but we do know that it will be on the current-gen version only. Sorry, 360/PS3 stalwarts. No matter what version you play, though, you'll get to enjoy the fruits of Visual Concepts' involvement. Over 50 days worth of motion capture sessions went on at 2K's state-of-the-art mo-cap facility, where WWE Superstars spent hours getting their signature moves digitally recreated. All told, WWE 2K15 features five times (FIVE TIMES! FIVE TIMES!) the animation data of 2K14. Thankfully, just as much effort has gone into improving the way the game sounds, the color commentary in particular. Over four times as many lines were recorded this time around, which should go a long way towards spicing up what has consistently been one of the franchise's presentational low points. So that's what you can expect in terms of new features and modes. As we get more face time with the game, we'll be diving in deeper on many of these additions, and of course, bringing you footage and detailed impressions of how things differ once you're actually in the ring. Be sure to head here regularly for a steady stream of new IGN First content on WWE 2K15 throughout the month.
  14. None of it was accurate. XD What we're actually getting is: PS4: Road Not Taken & FEZ PS3: Crysis 3 & Proteus PSV: Metrico & LEGO Harry Potter 5-7 Years
  15. Rumours are abound that we're getting Octodad for PS4, Saints Row 4 & Far Cry Blood Dragon for PS3, and 1001 Spikes & Atelier Rorona Plus for PSVita. No confirmation, but usually the rumours are 90% right. I really want to play SR4 again, that game was fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuun.
  16. Necro! I'm calling it now, Daniel Bryan to win the 2015 Royal Rumble.
  17. JJ is going to save the franchise with lens flares, incoherent booking and smoke monsters. 5, 9, 16, 17, 24, 43.
  18. Stan channeling Bill Hicks, I approve.
  19. N-N-N-N-NECRO'D. Only really to put in this unfounded rumour that Studio Ghibli's upcoming film may be it's last feature film. *sad sigh* And if I'm gonna necro this, might aswell say that I'm watching Sword Art Online II, Tokyo Ghoul, The Devil is a Part Timer and Gungrave. OOoh.
  20. Looks like a right f*cking tosser.
