    Xbox 360 Vs PS3

I'd be interested to know where you dug all of that crap up from, the graphics on my PS3 will piss all over any standard X-Box because it's connected to a full HD TV with an HDMI lead. Only the 360 Elite offers an HDMI connection, and as Darkie points out that's only £5 cheaper than the PS3 and has no Blu-ray player. Sorry but the reason why the PS3 is more expensive is because it is a better machine, but from what I can see there's no difference in gaming on either.

    Is PS3 worth it?

Weird how they cut the price now the so called "war" is over, you'd have thought they'd have been slashing the prices of these when there was competition around from HD-DVD. I certainly have no regrets about buying the PS3, even after paying £415 on release, for a start all my mates now have one so I can play online with them, whereas I only know one person offline with an X-Box 360. Blu-ray player is great, HDMI is great, multimedia stuff on it is great. Good point about a lack of exclusive games, but the ones i'm looking forward to are Rainbow Six Vegas 2, Metal Gear Solid and GTA4, which I could also play on a 360.

In HD? But that film package does suck for gamers, but the PS3 is the cheapest Blu-Ray player on the market, so I assume they're trying to tap into that market.

    Is PS3 worth it?

PS3 as a stand alone games console doesn't really compare to X-Box 360 at the moment, but I'm using mine for videos, mp3's, Blu Rays, DVD's as well as games. Awesome piece of kit, if you want something that pretty much does anything you could ask of it then it's worth the money. If you just want a games console then wait till the price drops. Wii is also great, I'm getting one soon.

    Currently Playing ?

Currently playing Rainbow Six Vegas on the PS3, mainly using the online mode but I must crack on with the story mode and i'm still on Tiger Woods 07.
  8. I got one, wasn't intending too but it was too much of a temptation when I learned that they hadn't sold out and that I could walk into Game and buy one. Got Need for Speed Carbon with it which is ok, and Tiger Woods 07 which is great. Just need a HD TV now.
  9. It is going to Bravo 2, that news is about a week old. That's the synopsis (there's that word again) for the shows this Saturday afternoon. It's staring this Saturday on Bravo 2, it's on at 3:30, 4:30 and 10pm. I want to know if the afternoon shows are up to date or old shows.
  10. Just looking through my Sky Guide, TNA Wrestling is also scheduled on Bravo 2 at 3:30pm and 4:30pm this Saturday. The synopsis for 3:30 is: and for 4:30 I'm not up to date with the happenings in TNA, but will make an effort to watch it now it's on a decent channel. What do either of those synopsis mean to the TNA followers here?
  11. In America they always take breaks during series. People moan when we're so far behind the US, then people moan when we're up to date and have to suffer the break, can't win.
  12. Lostpedia is a site you have to check out, as we're now up to date with the rest of the world there will be no spoilers there. Answers a lot of questions, and you'll be surprised at all the links between characters. Omar you might find answers to your questions there. When Lost comes back it will actually be on a 4 day delay, episodes will screen on Wednesday in the States and on Sunday over here.
  13. Yeah C4's reaction to WWF Programming was a joke, here's the channel that will happily show the sort of violence involved in wrestling and much worse as well as hard drug taking and soft porn in a post watershed slot. Problem with C4 is that I think they thought they were getting a kids show, the live PPV's were post watershed but they were aiming it at a young audience. As for TNA I can't see it showing up anywhere else but Bravo, Bravo were showing it before on a channel called Player which is now Bravo 2. Can't see this deal being Eurosport, if you check the TNA website it lists Eurosport as broadcasting Impact alongside TWC, so Eurosport already have a deal with TNA.
  14. No message, it's just taking ages to load. At one point I got the chatroom up but just the background, no names or anything, strange.
  15. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kOhaRpxnSlw Theres a video of the opening, anyone else notice that Ethan was the plumber?
  16. Yeah I have mates who download Lost or get the DVD's before they were shown on C4, it will be nice to finally discuss the show on a proper level with them without worrying about spoilers. Also you could never look up stuff on Lost online because you'd always find spoilers, sites like lostpedia.com (which is great) are all on the US pace. Shows to me that Sky know what they're doing, they don't want to fork out for a show then see the figures disappear as more and more people download the episodes from the states, Channel 4's decision to start this series in the spring was ridiculous, I would have been downloading it if they'd got it.
  17. Indeed by no spoilers I was hoping this thread wouldn't get filled up with mainly Irish posters who are a few weeks ahead, there is another thread for them to post in. If you watched Torchwood instead then stay out of this thread until you've seen the weeks episode. Last nights episodes didn't really offer much of an insight, as usual some questions answered, but more questions posed. The opening sequence was brilliant, with the others living in what seemed to be a small town. We find out that they have lived there for their whole lives, we even found out where the polar bears came from, but the question is what are the others up to and will the rest of the crash victims attempt to save their friends? Next week should be interesting as I'd imagine Hurley will return to the camp and let the rest in on what happened.
  18. Thought we needed a thread for those of us watching Lost on Sky One to discuss the show, without spoilers. 30 minutes until it all starts again, i'm very much looking forward to it, the trailers have looked very good.
  19. I'm don't know why so many of you are dissmissing the idea of it being held at Wembley, when they've done it before, it never had a roof in 1992. They just cover the ring, boxing matches have been held at Wembley, Old Trafford and White Hart Lane in recent years, it's not a problem. They could get close to 100,000 people in there, with 90,000 permanent seats and additional seats on the playing area, my opinion is that it would have to be WrestleMania or Summerslam to sell that many tickets. Also isn't next years WrestleMaina being held in a Football stadium? Wrestlemania 3 and 8 were, I also remember one at a Baseball stadium a couple years back. As for spoilers, sure the Yanks can get the results without paying for the event, but they can do that anyway. If they're just interesting in reading the results rather than watching the event, would they be paying for the PPV's anyway? If that's the case surely they just wait until the PPV's are finished then check the results regardless of whether it's in the UK or US. It could happen, it would be great if it did, I wouldn't be surprised if it didn't.
  20. Summerslam '92 was attended by over 80,000 fans, this was when Wembley had a football capacity of around 72,000. The new Wembley would hold 90,000 + how ever many they get on the playing area. If WWE were to do this I reckon it would be at Wembley again so they can get maximum ticket sales to make up for any PPV buys they lose. As for the rain, in '92 they had a cover over the ring as they do with outdoor boxing events. Back in '92 the event took place on Saturday evening but was shown in the US on Sunday evening, if I remember rightly it was shown Sunday afternoon on Sky Sports. This was before the days of the internet so spoilers weren't such a problem. I have no doubt that if they bought WrestleMania or SummerSlam to the UK, they'd sell 100,000 tickets no problem. I'd want to go and I hardly ever watch wrestling anymore. In '92 it sold out in hours.
  21. The Millenium Stadium or new Wembley would be ideal, obviously the Millenium has the adantage of the roof, but I reckon if they are considering it they'll be looking at Wembley for the prestige, I reckon they'd get close to 100,000 fans in there. I've been saying it for a long time, it would be about time if they did. SummerSlam returning to Wembley 15 years later would be great.
  22. I agree, my kids loved the Boogeyman! :(
