  1. Without finding motivation, achieving a consistent exercise routine can become a difficult task. Internal motivation comes and goes depending on the specific area of our lives in question. A training partner can help us achieve our goals by keeping us accountable.
  2. The thing about visiting numerous websites and opening may tabs means that there will be lots of temporary files and cookies stored on your PC or laptop. You have to keep clearing these so that your computer doesn't lag.
  3. That's interesting news to hear. Gaming has become more affordable since they started up with some subscription models, much like Netflix and Spotify. Perhaps that and the pandemic are the driving forces here.

Yes, the pandemic has made people more aware and curious when it comes to discovering new things to do. I think the popularity of gaming will continue soaring with the subscription models making it affordable.

  4. Sometime in 2019, Reed Hastings, the Netflix CEO, mentioned what he thought was the company's stiffest competition, and no one imagined it was going to be the video game Fortnite. The assumption was that cable television or movie theaters would feature somewhere. Do you think that instead of reaching for a TV remote, more people are now going for a game controller?
  5. T.O.R.S. That's the abbreviation for my suggestion. Abbreviations can be site names, right? I don't see why not. If not......Blank Page? That's short and to the point.

Remember, you want a name that first-time visitors can recall and type in the shortest time possible. How about letsread.com or readingisfun.com? There are countless catchy names from which @Hendo can choose!

  6. I just typed in thatotherreadingsite.com and came up with no matches. That one is available. I think you have a good idea as far as the premise of the site is concerned. Good luck!

It is so kind of you to look this up, but how about going for a shorter name? You want one that is catchy and easy to remember/type. It can be so tasking to choose a website name; I now understand why some people opt to outsource.

  7. Has any member here had a go at trying to write a novel?

If so I wondered if you have any tips. I am about 50 pages into my novel, but it is hard to put aside time to get any further.

There always seems to be something else to do! I guess all novelists have to very strict with themselves with time management and have an efficient method of note-keeping.

I have never thought of writing a novel, but I assume it takes a lot of hard work, dedication, and commitment to do so. You may need to hire a few people to keep you on course.

  8. This movie, The Fugitive, is an absolute classic thriller, based on a similarly classic TV series of the same name. Did you know that the TV series of The Fugitive ran for 4 seasons, but the first 3 were in black and white, and only the 4th was in color? And the whole thing was based on the real case of Sam Sheppard, a neurosurgeon wrongly accused of his wife's murder.

Wow, I had no idea there was a TV series bearing the same name. For how long did this show last? I remember watching The Fugitive and getting thrilled throughout the movie. Did you know that Ford is a trained pilot?

  9. I remember that at a young age, probably 12 or 13, I used to borrow a lot of science fiction books, as there was a large old library in my home town. I read I, Robot and the Foundation series. My father had kept a lot of old Astounding Science Fiction magazines which have loads of great short stories. Apparently Isaac has written over 500 books!

First of all, welcome to the forum. There are lots of friendly and knowledgeable people here. I used to read a lot of sci-fi books back in the day until I discovered movies. Do you recall the TV series Fringe?

  10. If this bout ever takes place, whoever knocks the other out (pun intended) will have full bragging rights. It will be a fight decided, not by physical might, but by skill, tact, and psychological strength. Fury still has to fight Deontay Wilder, right?
  11. Forget my naivety, but how does the company behind Zoom generate revenue when the majority of users access it for free? I see how inconveniencing it can be to get kicked out after 40 mins. Would you trust this app when holding classified discussions?

Zoom is among the companies that have recently experienced a surge in revenue. Towards the end of March this year, Eric Yuan (founder of Zoom's Video Communications Inc.) had added $20 million to his net worth. His fortune (then) was estimated to be around $5.6 billion.

  12. The question then becomes, "what can we do to change things now and in the future?" We cannot deviate from industrialization, but we can place controls that limit the amount of carbon released to the atmosphere. We can plant more trees and increase the forest cover and so on.
  13. We could attribute this to the greenhouse effect, a process by which radiation from a planet's atmosphere warms the planet's surface to a temperature above what it would be without this atmosphere. We could attribute this to human activities - like clearing of forests and burning of fossil fuels - that have accelerated this effect hence causing global warming.
  14. I'm not going to pay for the PPV because I think most of the wrestlers wanted to sit this one out. It jeopardizes not only the wrestlers' health, but the health of the entire crew that goes into making these events happen. Despite the issues, it looks like a good card honestly. There a few matches I'd like to see. Taker's Boneyard Match will undoubtedly be great. I think The Miz's tag team match would be excellent too, but it seems he might be sick and Morrison might get another partner. These events tend to get uploaded to Reddit and YouTube and I'll watch it then or I'll make do by reading some recaps.

I'm interested to see whether Reigns gets buried over his decision to sit this one out. Surely not, but we'll see.

I cannot imagine Wrestlemania 36 proceeding without a live audience; Vince should have paid attention to the mood and postponed this event altogether. On the other hand, I doubt if RR will be on the receiving end of anything since his decision to sit out this competition is understandable!

  15. Binge-watching is and will never be a part of me; I made peace with the fact that I can never go past 10 PM irrespective of what I am watching. Speaking of which has anyone of you started watching the fourth season of Money Heist?
  16. Are we basing this off the talent that went into drawing/creating the characters, background, and such, or does "best" just mean I like watching it the best.

Well, we are looking at the whole picture, what went into creating the characters, and so on. For instance, I got drawn to Rango because Johnny Depp starred in it. He was also involved in Alice in Wonderland and Sherlock Gnomes though I am yet to watch them!

  17. I recently got an invite to a friend's birthday party, and any attempt not to attend it was discouraged. It was a small affair that rekindled old friendships. People are still celebrating birthdays but in different ways. I would also opt for a low-key affair.
  18. I agree with KaliR. I don’t like checking the ratings as well. I don’t want to be biased because of the ratings before I actually watch the movie. I like war film as well, but I was a bit too busy for films lately but I’m sure I will check it out later. I’m pretty interested in this one.

I like this approach because it gets rid of biases and skewed opinions. Sometime back, I watched a movie that the majority of viewers had given a bad rating, but that appealed to me. It is in the same way that trailers can be misleading.

  19. I must admit that movies have not been my thing in the last few years, but after checking 1917's plot, I am interested in watching it. Do you choose what to watch based on IMDb ratings and the producer in question?

I tend to rely a lot on IMDb ratings and also make the decision based on the producer in question. To date, I still watch any movie or series produced by JJ Abrams. 1917 is a definite must-watch!
