  1. The Red Wedding scarred me! :sadtears: I had no idea what was coming, I watched those final 10 ten minutes with my mouth open. I remember I couldn't sleep at all after the episode (watched it before bed), I felt like I had been punched in the gut. The other death (besides Hodor) which got to me was Oberyn Martell - and what a way to go! :sadtears:
  2. This would explain the loss for Big Cass: (From the Wrestling-Online Newsletter) If it's true...what a plonker!:dumb:The video that was uploaded on WWE's Youtube channel, only showed up to the boot also:
  3. Thought it was an OK show. Thought the Elias segment wasn't too bad either, better than the usual cringey stuff I'm surprised Nakamura/Styles ended in a double count out - especially with the match as no DQ. I wasn't expecting Carmella to beat Charlotte without any help! Samoa Joe lost clean
  4. Watched this tonight. LOVED IT! Was perfect for me :inlove: It's not often a film with this much hype/anticipation lives up to expectations but this did - 10/10 from me.
  5. I forgot to mention...poor Roman got booed! I thought there was a chance he'd get a better reaction but as soon as his music hit, you could hear the boos.
  6. That pretty much sums up the show! It didn't feel as though there was any excitement/momentum to the show. I was surprised they went with Kalisto for the Cruiserweight match. I would have thought having a rematch between Mustafa Ali and Alexander would have gone down much better with the predominately Muslim crowd. How cringeworthy was that segment with Saxton talking to the panel! I thought it was funny when they showed the replay and you hear Saxton say Brock won because his feet touched first (or something along those lines)...then he realises Roman's touched first - that's when the commentary team go into damage limitation mode  I was about to skip the NXT trainees segment with the 4 Saudi recruits but that was saved by the Daivari Brothers - I thought that was done well. With all the tension between Iran and Saudi Arabia, it was a nice touch. There were some odd choices for the Rumble with the likes of Tucker Knight, Babatunde, Dan Matha - I would have expected more established NXT stars. Poor Titus :-O Apparently, Saudi Arabia's sport authority had to apologise for footage of women on the show - I'm assuming it was Backlash promo which featured the women's matches. The BBC has a story online about it here. WWE had better hope for some more progress on the Saudi side over their policies/laws otherwise I don't know if it's going to be worth all the criticism they're going to get in the next 10 years (how long this deal is meant to run for).
  7. Matthew has 2 articles up: REVIEW: Avengers Infinity War (NO SPOILERS) Avengers: Infinity War SPOILER-FILLED thoughts and reflections
  8. With all PPVs co-branded shows from Backlash, they could always do a title match at the next PPV and get the title back to the relevant brand that way.
  9. I thought the finale was awful...luckily I wasn't expecting much. No big battle, no deaths - all over in about 5 mins. So Rick slit Negan's throat but knew Negan would be fine? Even after all that blood loss. Once again it almost feels like they want us to feel sorry for Negan, I didn't think Carl's utopia included Negan locked in a cell for the rest of his life. That scene with Daryl, Maggie and Jesus?! :rolleye2: I could understand Maggie being angry with the decision to keep Negan alive but would the other 2 really be plotting against Rick and Michonne? Kevin has his review up of the finale HERE - pretty much agree with him on it.
  10. I've not enjoyed the season very much, I'm hoping the finale can deliver something exciting to at least make me look forward to another season.
  11. It feels like they thought they'd combine the 2 biggest WWE shows of the year (Rumble and Mania) to give the people of Saudi Arabia something special. I wonder if they'll try to make this an annual thing - with all the tourism boost WrestleMania brings, Saudi Arabia could be hoping for a similar effect. Saudi released new tourist visas in November 2017 so it does seem like part of a plan to begin boosting tourism. The oil isn't going to last forever...
  12. I don't think they'll turn him heel but wouldn't mind if they did. I feel like he's similar to Cena in that respect, WWE seem to like the mixed reactions they get. I think a Styles/Reigns feud would be pretty good though
  13. I think they'll wait and see how it goes, I think they'll (Bray and Matt) be a pretty successful team - so they'll want to keep it going for a while. Raw was good but there were no surprises for me - we'd all heard/guessed who was going to debut so there was no real wow factor. As much as I like the NXT stars that debuted I don't feel they're going to add that much more to the current roster. I can see No Way Jose getting boring quite quickly, as good as Ember/AOP are, I feel like they'll just get lost in the shuffle. Rousey looked good - anyone expecting a Charlotte/Rousey match at WrestleMania 35? I've been waiting for the Paige announcement - fitting time to do it. Must be SO tough having that happen at such a young age, so gutted for her.

    Post-mania call ups

Triple H said something similar in an interview last year that they wanted NXT to been seen as a brand on a similar level to Raw and Smackdown - so when they do drafts etc - superstars could potentially move from Raw/Smackdown down to NXT. It's worked well previously with the likes of Tyson, Cesaro etc
  15. @Zack T has pretty much covered most of my feelings during the event but here are a few random thoughts/observations: - I've been expecting Bray Wyatt to team with Hardy ever since he was put in the 'Lake of reincarnation', think they'll make a nice duo. Plus it means Jeff and focus more on his own thing - The Women's Battle Royal should have finished with Sasha/Baley - the Naomi thing was such a let down - I thought Bianca Belair looked great in the Battle Royal, wished they let her use her hair whip more :) - I was expecting more from Cedric/Ali - the match was good, but I was hoping for better - As nice as the meaning/gesture was behind it I thought it was a bit random having members of the LGBT community just standing on the stage as Finn walked out - Asuka deserved a better entrance - have to admit it annoyed me a little to see Charlotte get a great entrance with fireworks and Asuka get nothing. I was fully expecting Asuka to win but am not that fussed Charlotte was the one to beat her - but as others have said, would have preferred a less clean (easy?) victory - I was hoping for a Rusev win, would have been a great sight to see the crowd going nuts over it. I imagine the fans are going to be even louder come Smackdown - The mixed tag match was better than I was expecting, Ronda impressed me, am looking forward to seeing her in action more! - Am glad Nakamura turned on AJ - Kudos on the fans for sitting through SEVEN HOURS! I watched 3 hours yesterday and 4 today o_O
  16. I think having Cena sitting in the crowd rather than having a match is going to annoy the Cena haters even more! How many times are they going to keep showing his reaction during the matches!

    Post-mania call ups

After last night, I'm still expecting Almas, Moon, Sanity, and AOP. The reason for Sanity is because I think they'll now focus on The Undisputed Era as the main faction in NXT. I've been thinking with The Iconic Duo pretty silent at the moment, I wonder if they'll make an appearance during the Battle Royal and work together to win it. Have some kind of first ever joint winners? (They refuse to eliminate each other at the end)
  18. Vince didn't look good, maybe it's just the lack of sleep... Braun's comment to Curt (3:46) made me LOL:
  19. I wouldn't expect them to promote it until after WrestleMania, they might even plug it at WrestleMania (like they usually do for the next PPV)
  20. Good suggestion - just added to the Prediction questions :thumbup2:
  21. Matthew has a new article up on COW: WWE WrestleMania 34 Anti-Hype: Temper your expectations! To check out some of our previous WrestleMania feature articles, click here. There have been rumours of it being Rey Mysterio which could be good, he got a great reaction at the Rumble and WWE loves the whole little/large team dynamic.
  22. I'm expecting Asuka to win...I can't see them giving Carmella a win over Asuka at WrestleMania, even after competing against Charlotte.
