So, all WWE wrestlers do wear kneepads then?
And other than that, I've got myself frustrated recently. I accept the WWE product now, and I do like it, sometimes love it, but I watched some King of the Ring 98 and SummerSlam 99 recently, and have pretty much realised that for the entire time I'm in school, there will be no "wrestling boom". Hell, in my Year, there's only 3 people who are real fans, and I'm one of them. A few people like old ECW, and a few [a really small amount] watched during the Attitude era, but not too many at all. It's pretty annoying, because I felt in 2006 WWE could have caused a "boom", I really do, when Edge as Champion got big ratings and the Cena reactions were amazing, as well as bringing back DX, which although was boring as hell to just about everybody, and I include half-fans, "smarks", and people with minor interests who saw it, DX coming back could have been really good. Maybe I just think this because WWE came to Belfast in 2006 and so many people from my year were talking about it and going to see it, but now there's nothing like that at all. They've came like 4 times since then and there's been no interest at all. The way I see it, there has to be a build-up to a boom, where things change and you can see it coming, and that is definitely not happening at the moment. So, let's just say it magically does happen, it would take another year for that to happen, and another year to enter the boom, and by that stage I'll be in Lower 6th, and so many people will have left from after 5th Year [and I could be one of them]. The big hope I have, which frustratingly I know 95% won't happen, is that a "boom" will come by the time I'm in my last year of school. After that it's into adulthood, and it won't be the same really.
