  1. There are a few stations around where I stay that play pure music and if I am not tuned in, I will be listening to my own playlist. I have a huge preference for soft rock and country music.
  2. A lot of the trailers we see out here are just meant to make us more eager to watch a movie. I have never relied on a trailer as a yardstick; rather as a way to know more about the cast. @Snarky-Guru is there any movie you enjoyed right after watching the trailer?
  3. Well, I would love to live in Finland though technically, this country isn't considered Scandinavian per se. I have heard a lot about Finland and Sweden being accepting of foreigners besides it being easy to settle here. Is the language hard to grasp?
  4. It has been a while since I came across a nice browser game so thank you for this recommendation. I am into reading and I guess it would be great to try this out. Are there some tricks and skills that you have picked up along the way?
  5. I can’t even recall if there was a party as well; maybe we were really busy playing in the farmhouse. Also let us know which breed you’ll finally settle on. He will definitely love this puppy!
  6. Well, that’s quite a tough choice but I’d probably get him a puppy because puppies are normally very playful. You could also decide to get him both?

    Meditation

I would say so @Pumba. When we think of meditation, what quickly comes to mind is a lot about the mental and psychological well being. I am glad to hear that it also helps to correct bone postures.
  8. There are numerous benefits of drinking water on an empty stomach and it could be the reason why people are often urged to drink enough water after waking up. Ideally, you should drink 2-3 glasses of water as soon as you get up and 8-10 glasses of water a day. Is this easier said than done?

    Meditation

Well, meditation is increasingly getting popular and much as I haven't tried this before, it has been said to reduce stress, promote emotional health and lengthen attention spans. Overall, I think that it has to do with developing some sort of mental discipline.
  10. You must have heard it said that the best way to overcome your fears is by facing them. I am both claustrophobic and acrophobic but I have never been able to get over them. Did you ever succeed at overcoming yours?

    Foreign music

Gangnam style was a hit and I enjoyed it too but aside from that, I cannot recall liking any other song not sung in English. I occasionally listen to classical and jazz music as well.
  12. Hey @Zack T, it seems harder (now) to make a selection from the high number of TV shows at our disposal. There could be more variety but with shows seemingly having similar themes.
  13. At times I look back and desire to watch it again. I loved Walter, Peter Bishop, Olivia and Philip Broyles (the no-nonesense chap). We don't see a lot of these TV shows nowadays or am I just not looking in the right places?
  14. To be sincere, I have learned something new today and the fact of the matter is that there is a lot of misinformation (or a complete lack of it) in matters mental health. It would be more beneficial if there was more enlightenment and awareness about depression (in particular).
  15. Most of us love to treat celebrities as super humans of some sort but in reality (with the fame and money aside) they still have to contend with the pressures of life and striking that balance can be very elusive at times. @Zack T from what I've heard, chronic depression is less severe and tends to have fewer symptoms than major depression. Does a failure to detect and treat it early cause more serious symptoms?
  16. J.J Abrams happens to be a genius and I am not surprised that he can do both, in addition to being a screenwriter as well. The TV shoes I loved most were Lost and Fringe.
  17. I have come across people who use these terms interchangeably. Are there instances where one person fits into both roles? From what I know, a director is more involved with giving direction to the cast and crew as well as film editing. The producer handles the production, finances, marketing and distribution.
  18. I agree that to some extent, individual countries are to blame in as far as the popularity is concerned. We would all love to get to a point where it is as popular as soccer or basketball, with a professional competition in each country.
  19. I stand corrected but from a global point of view, this sport is still growing. Outside of the United States, very few people can name two or three popular UFC fighters. Are we soon going to see it being a popular sport on the global stage and what needs to be done for us to get there?
  20. I couldn't agree more @Zack T and it is easy to think that the stunt actors play a bigger role than they actually do. Nonetheless, their minor roles in some movies, need to be celebrated more! @Incredible Iron, I never knew that Jackie Chan started out as a stunt actor. He has definitely achieved a lot in the course of his career.
  21. I think that they deserve more credit and a larger share of the cake for the roles they play in completing the bigger picture for the lead actors. Either way, who will push this agenda? Probably the industry expects them to use the opportunity and chart their own paths. Are there any famous actors who started out as stunt doubles?
  22. I would have loved to be anything, but not a celebrity since constantly being in the limelight isn't something that most people are used to. This makes them live a lie and fool many people into assuming that they have a perfect life.
  23. There are high chances of a rematch happening and whereas Joshua wouldn't shy away from fighting either of them, Wilder has been vocal in claiming that Anthony Joshua doesn't want to fight him. I suppose that we will have a clearer picture, come 2019.
  24. I actually have two. Charlie Chaplin once said,"Failure is unimportant. It takes courage to make a fool of yourself." The other one is from Leonardo Dicaprio who said,"If you can do what you do best and be happy, you are further along in life than most people."
  25. In a way, I agree that people need to move on and rather than keep talking about it, Hart should give everyone else a break. It doesn't make any difference to the Oscars since there are many other excellent hosts around.
