  1. I enjoyed that! How did you come up with the idea? Your actors did a good job. They weren't cheesy like you normally find in amateur films. I hope you win!
  2. How many tabs do you typically have open while you're on the internet? I'm up to 3 windows and 82 tabs at the moment. That's pretty typical for me. Personally, I blame it all on chasing hyperlinks.
  3. Every few years the rumors start churning as fans salivate over a possible UFC match between Brock Lesnar and Jon Jones. Dana White says he'll support it if Lesnar and Jones want to fight each other. I can't say that I blame White since it's certain to be ratings gold. But do you think both parties will agree? I think Lesnar and Jones might agree on the surface to a fight, but I doubt the match will ever happen. It's just part of the hype machine. What about you? Do you think 2020 or 2021 is when we'll finally see the Beast Incarnate take on Bones?
  4. It's a beautiful name that lends itself to some cool nicknames. You've got Sassy Sarah, Sassafras, Great Ball of Sass, and Sukey. Oh, and Sarah Scissorhands for when you upset her and the claws come out.
  5. The Switch isn't region-locked so you should be fine, but you'll probably have to create another user account and profile and set it for Japan in order to buy the game and play it. The hassle might not be worth it.
  6. So, the paper thing isn't working out. I hate the little pests, but it seems awfully barbaric to have them stuck to this paper. They keep trying to escape and save their lives. I could hear the frantic buzzing from the other room as they helplessly flapped their little wings in an effort to get free. I know that sounds silly, but I couldn't bear it. They were still alive the next day and still flapping helplessly. They were truly pitiful. Those poor flies weren't salvageable, so I put them out of their misery quickly and got rid of the paper so the others wouldn't suffer such a fate. Is there a way to trap them and get them back outside without making them suffer?
  7. I think it could be fun. Just wait until the conspiracy theories hit about robot hacking. You know it would happen. It would be the next big thing.
  8. I made the mistake of leaving the door open today and now my house is filled with flies. It grosses me out! I've hidden all the food and put up some fly paper. I hope to get rid of them shortly. I think flies are worse than mosquitoes. Which summer pest bugs you the most?
  9. Well, wrestles typically only come in three or four different shapes, sizes, and heights, so it's hard to differentiate yourself too much if that's what you mean. I don't think their personalities or skills are exactly the same, but even if they were, wrestlers have been reinventing their in-ring persona since the first squared circle came to be. MJF needs to learn some new phrases and comebacks. I love his gimmick, but it's getting stale.
  10. All the sexual predators - Bill Cosby, Kevin Spacey, Harvey Weinstein, R. Kelly, and Roman Polanski. Some paid a higher price than others, but all fell from grace.
  11. I thought it was one of the better WrestleManias I've seen, but that was largely due to the offbeat nature of the Boneyard and Firefly Fun House matches. Those were fun. I even enjoyed watching Lesnar for once. The only big disappointment for me was Lynch and Baszler. I thought it would be a showstopper. What happened? I thought they'd go at each other like Lynch did with Banks. I agree and I'm afraid he's eventually going to get hurt. Really hurt.
  12. I'm working from home and going crazy doing it. I'm thankful for the income, but it's much tougher than I thought it would be. It's easier to discuss things face-to-face when you can pick up the person's tone and body language to discern intent and as cues for how you should react. I can't adequately illustrate just how long our Slack communications have become since moving away from the traditional workplace.
  13. I think we're going to be pleasantly surprised. No live audience gives them the chance to get creative. The Firefly Fun House clash is the big thing for me. You know Cena and The Fiend are going to put on a great show.
  14. So, it's not happening then? I thought it was a sure thing. Darn it. I always liked Punk and would like to see him back with any wrestling promotion. I thought it would be strange though, since Vince still seems to hold a grudge. Maybe he'd welcome Punk back if he thought the money was there. Vince would do anything for money.
  15. I knew that Kenny Omega would be the AAA Mega Championship winner. He looked really strong. I somehow didn't connect that it's the same Bellator and WWE Jack Swagger on AEW until the show. Jeez. Guess I needed it spelled out. @ShadowEdge the women come across much better after I've read a bit about them. I have a much better feel for their personalities and gimmicks. Britt Baker was the only one I knew of beforehand. I still wish some of the WWE women would switch sides. I wonder if AEW has tried recruiting any of them. Does anyone know whether AEW's salaries come close to what WWE pays?
  16. Contagion was a good movie and I really enjoyed the performance by Jude Law as the blogger who was fanning the flames and making things worse. It could see it happening today. Outbreak is another excellent movie that fits the theme. It's a little older, but no less enjoyable. If I remember correctly the virus was contained within California and the military kept people quarantined there. It was based on a nonfiction book that I keep meaning to read called The Hot Zone.
  17. @ShadowEdge You are super sweet! I'm going to take you up on that. @Fletch Yikes, that puts it in perspective! I'm sorry you're experiencing such uncertainty! It's bound to make a person anxious. I saw an article about the famous pub chain closing up and some 40,000 are out of a job. It's awful. I keep reminding myself that I need to stop whining about distractions and loneliness when so many people don't have the option to work at home and keep their steady salary. So have you applied to work at Tesco as recommended by Tim Martin? I assumed he was just being sarcastic.
  18. It's been rumored for a while, but I NEVER thought it would happen because Vince seems to truly dislike the guy. However, every wrestling blog says CM Punk is heading back to the WWE so it no longer seems like wishful thinking. If CM Punk can get back in the WWE's good graces, who's next? And are you as surprised as I am at this turn of events?
  19. You know, I didn't think about that. I'm glad your job is understanding! I feel for the parents who are struggling to work at home with kids around. No way I could handle that. I could've been off for 80% pay, but I don't know what I'd do with myself and only so many employees could take the option. I don't have cancer, children, or regular contact with the elderly, so I couldn't justify taking the out when others really needed it. I stayed at the office until we had no choice but to work from home. I enjoy working and love my career, but I find it hard being all alone. Are the rest of you guys introverts or something? I miss having coworkers. There's no one to bounce ideas off of.
  20. At the very least I bet it will be postponed. Imagine how much money the host country has already spent preparing for the games. Yikes!
  21. Last week my employer decided to have everyone work from home until further notice. While I'm thankful that I'm still earning, I'm finding this whole work from home thing incredibly tough. I'm not nearly as productive as I am at the office. There are too many uncontrollable interruptions and distractions and it's also pretty lonely. I know some people work remotely all the time. How do you guys make it work?
  22. The schools in my area are encouraging students to take classes online. I'm not sure how they're handling it though. Xbox games are good for a quick escape. It's not healthy to worry on and on.
  23. I think I somehow insulted you and I'm very sorry for that. Poppy didn't say what the complaints were about and I bet she wouldn't. So I was trying cover another side to it. I simply meant that living in a household and dealing with daily drudgery brings more stress than simply coming around sometimes. It isn't being married, being in a relationship, being committed, or that makes it hard. I think it's living together that changes the dynamic. It's the dealing with the daily drudgery of everyday life. It's true for platonic roommates as well, one person always feels like they have the lion's share of the work, and they'll often complain about that. I read what I wrote earlier again and I can see how it came across as rude and I'm so sorry for that. I'm not very emotional, so I tend to think of things in terms of the logistics. Sometimes intent is hard to get across, but I certainly didn't mean to attack your relationship style, parenting, or anything else.
  24. I appreciate your openness and honesty and I love hearing your stories, but you're kidding yourself if you think the situation you're in right now is at all realistic. You aren't living with these people. You aren't sharing in the childcare, the finances, the housework, the yard maintenance, the cooking, the admin stuff, or anything else that makes a relationship, a relationship. You get all the fun with none of the work. Move in with those people and I bet your story changes. Though, I'm surprised you aren't getting stressed by your kid and ex. Could be because you're a guy though and face different expectations. Or hey, maybe you are sharing in all that domestic stuff and I've just read it wrong. I don't think so though. And is he bi too? If not, how are they the right people?
  25. I'm betting that you're a kind person who is trustworthy and known for being able to keep a secret. You probably don't gossip about the people you know and you don't appear judgmental. That's why you're sought out as a sounding board/mini-therapist. It's happened to me and it can really skew a person's view of things when all you hear is negativity. Those same couples who are complaining to you, also have great days together, you just don't hear about them. Taking in all that drama and negativity can be so draining. It's okay to take a step back and let them know that the mental load is getting to be too much. Just be honest. I bet those people don't realize how many others are confiding in you.
