  1. The sixth annual WWE Night of Champions will come to you, live on pay-per-view, on September 15 from the Joe Louis Arena in Detroit, MI. 3. I would like to see them do an awkward cash-in similar to what they did with the 24/7 rule for the Hardcore Title once upon a time. Have the title match still be in progress when both or either Cena and Bryan are down, then have Orton rush in and cash in on Cena to win the title. I could see this scenario playing out while some sort of chicanery is going on with Special Referee Triple H and Vince or something. There are a lot of interesting directions they could take the cash-in.
  4. Alright, so they have put Triple H in as the Special Referee for the WWE Title match. However, to me, that is not the most interesting new development regarding this match. According to F4WOnline.com and some other wrestling sites, John Cena is scheduled for elbow surgery after SummerSlam. That should really make things interesting for the title match. I fully expect Cena to retain against Bryan, but I see Orton cashing in to take the title. They have also booked Dean Ambrose vs. Rob Van Dam for the U.S. Title on the Kickoff Pre-Show and Natalya vs. Brie Bella on the main card. That sentence is wrong in so many ways. While Ambrose/RVD may not be the show-stealer, it definitely deserves to be on the main card over some pointless Divas match that is just a way to boost ratings for that Total Divas show that WWE won't shut up about. I would actually enjoy seeing RVD as the U.S. Champion. It's one of the few current WWE titles that he has not held yet and, given WWE's booking of The Shield as of late, it would help make the title matter again (maybe). Also, I would not be surprised to see a WWE Tag Team Title match added to the card at some point. Rollins & Reigns vs. Big Show & Mark Henry perhaps?
  5. From the video, the guy looks to be bald. With that said, my first instinct is to say it's Christopher Daniels.
  6. That match with RVD on RAW was, by far, the best thing he has done this time around.
  7. Jericho will be off on another one of his sabbaticals after this week's SmackDown, going on tour with Fozzy. According to this tweet from Jericho, he will probably not be seen in the WWE until 2014:
  8. The 26th annual WWE SummerSlam will come to you, live on pay-per-view, on August 18 from the Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA. The hour-long SummerSlam Kickoff Pre-Show will air live at 7/6c prior to SummerSlam and will air exclusively on WWE.com, Google+, Yahoo, Xbox Live, Playstation Network, YouTube, Pinterest, Twitter, Facebook, & Samsung Smart TV's. The official theme song for this year's SummerSlam is "Gold Rush" by Clinton Sparks (f/ 2 Chainz, Macklemore, & D.A.). http://www.talkwrestlingonline.com/images/posters/wwe-summerslam-2013-poster.jpg Confirmed Matches/Events CM Punk vs. Brock Lesnar WWE Championship: Special Referee- Triple H: John Cena © vs. Daniel Bryan Ring of Fire Match: Kane vs. Bray Wyatt Mixed Tag Match: Dolph Ziggler & Kaitlyn vs. Big E. Langston & AJ Lee World Heavyweight Championship: Alberto Del Rio © vs. Christian Cody Rhodes vs. Damien Sandow Natalya vs. Brie Bella The Miz to Host SummerSlam United States Championship: Kickoff Match: Dean Ambrose © vs. Rob Van Dam The Ring of Fire Match will be a match where the ring will be surrounded by fire, preventing anyone from entering or exiting. The match ends via pinfall or submission.
  9. The way they talked on SmackDown, it looks like they will be keeping it a six-man match. I would frankly be surprised to not see Brock interfere and directly affect the outcome of the match. I fully expect CM Punk to be the only one in the ring and, before he can get the briefcase, Lesnar rushes in from the crowd and drops Punk with an F-5. Then they will probably have a couple of minutes with just "carnage shots" of those downed around the ring before Daniel Bryan hobbles up the ladder and retrieves the briefcase for the win. With that said, I think it would be awesome to see Brock go nuts and F-5 every single one of the participants (remember the sick F-5 that RVD took awhile back?) in the match.
  10. Instead of calling it the "WWE Championship Contract Money-in-the-Bank Ladder Match", WWE has simplified the name of the match, simply calling it "Money-in-the-Bank All-Stars" and will feature CM Punk, Daniel Bryan, Sheamus, Kane, Christian, Randy Orton, & Rob Van Dam with the winner still earning a contract for a future WWE Title match. The name change makes me think that they may only be having one Money-in-the-Bank Ladder Match this year.
  11. While it does not take the idea of Dolph repeating as MITB winner off the table, the current angle between Dolph and Del Rio over the title makes Dolph winning MITB again seem pointless.
  12. Given the current "Paul Heyman guy" angle, I would fully expect to see RVD vs. CM Punk at the pay-per-view. I'm actually hoping for a rivalry between those two, they could really have some epic matches. Even though they will likely go with Punk vs. Lesnar for Money-in-the-Bank, I still think a RVD/Punk feud is in the works. While I enjoyed how the angle was started, there is no doubt in my mind that Cena/Henry for the title will be abysmal. Now, I was going to start this discussion in a thread of its own, but it makes more sense to put it here. Something that has not really been discussed yet is, who is winning the Money-in-the-Bank Ladder Matches this year? The way I see it, these are the potential Superstars who could be in the matches: Christian, Antonio Cesaro, Jack Swagger, The Miz, Wade Barrett, Curtis Axel, Kane, Daniel Bryan, Randy Orton, Sheamus, Damien Sandow, Cody Rhodes, Big E. Langston, Chris Jericho, Fandango, Rob Van Dam, Ryback, & CM Punk. As mentioned above, I imagine Punk will have a match with Lesnar at the pay-per-view, but they could go a different direction. Now, if RVD is in one of the MITB Ladder Matches, then I will pick him as the winner, but I don't see them having Van Dam win the briefcase. When it comes to the MITB Ladder Match for a shot at the World Heavyweight Title, Big E. Langston seems to make the most sense as it would certainly be a major aid in his planned face turn. At this point in his career, I could easily see Curtis Axel being given the MITB briefcase, but seeing Jericho win the briefcase would be an interesting way to go, as well. Christian is another guy worth considering. As is the case every year, the MITB briefcases should go to the young guys who really need a decent push. Rhodes, Sandow, Cesaro, and Fandango (assuming he will be cleared to return by July 14) all fall under this category. I've mentioned it before on Twitter, but I truly believe that Cody Rhodes could be a main event player if they would just push him as a singles star instead of just lumping him and Damien Sandow together to job to Sheamus (which accomplishes nothing, by the way). The match that Rhodes had with Randy Orton about a month or so ago was really a strong showing for Rhodes and it made me realize how much of a shame it is that he is not being pushed more. My frustration with the direction of Antonio Cesaro is well known, but putting him with Zeb Colter gives me hope that Cesaro will get the push that he truly deserves. I would also not be against seeing Kane get one of the MITB briefcases again. With that said, I will make my predictions for the MITB winners. For the World Heavyweight Title MITB Ladder Match, I'm picking Big E. Langston. The WWE Title MITB Ladder Match is a bit harder to predict and it really depends on who they decide to put in the match, but I will go ahead and pick Curtis Axel. Also, I reserve the right to change my picks after WWE announces the participants :lol
  13. Wow, you're quite the downer. Don't rain on the RVD mark parade.
  14. The fourth annual WWE Money-in-the-Bank will come to you, live on pay-per-view, on July 14, 2013 from the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, PA. http://www.talkwrestlingonline.com/images/posters/wwe-money-in-the-bank-2013-poster.png Confirmed Matches/Events Return of Rob Van Dam WWE Championship: John Cena © vs. Mark Henry World Heavyweight Championship: Alberto Del Rio © vs. Dolph Ziggler Money-in-the-Bank All-Stars Ladder Match: CM Punk vs. Daniel Bryan vs. Sheamus vs. Christian vs. Randy Orton vs. Rob Van Dam World Heavyweight Championship Contract Money-in-the-Bank Ladder Match: Dean Ambrose vs. Wade Barrett vs. Jack Swagger vs. Fandango vs. Antonio Cesaro vs. Cody Rhodes vs. Damien Sandow Ryback vs. Chris Jericho Intercontinental Championship: Curtis Axel © vs. The Miz Divas Championship: AJ Lee © vs. Kaitlyn WWE Tag Team Championship: Kickoff Match: Seth Rollins & Roman Reigns © vs. Jimmy & Jey Uso

  16. Alright, so they have added five new matches to the card- Ziggler vs. Del Rio for the World Heavyweight Title, Ambrose vs. Kane for the U.S. Title, Rollins & Reigns vs. Orton & Bryan for the WWE Tag Team Titles, Kaitlyn vs. AJ Lee for the Divas Title, and the aforementioned Pre-Show match between Sheamus and Damien Sandow. Also, since Fandango is out with a concussion, they have put Curtis Axel in his place for the Triple Threat Match for the Intercontinental Title. Curtis Axel might be an even better pick for Intercontinental Champion than Fandango. Given his current push, he may actually make the title meaningful again.
  17. Wade Barrett vs. The Miz vs. Fandango for the Intercontinental Title has been added to the card. Personally, I'm hoping for Fandango to win the title. It would be a nice surprise, but I doubt it will happen. Still, Fandango would be great as the Intercontinental Champion.
  18. Personally, I would love to see a scenario where Punk would be a part of Payback in the role of a commentator. Really, part of me wants to see Punk in a match, but another part of me wants Punk to be 100% when he does return to the ring. While I agree that Punk needs to be a part of Payback in some capacity, I still think his in-ring return is best saved for SummerSlam. Also, they announced on RAW that Cena will face Ryback with the title on the line in an Ambulance Match.
  19. The inaugural edition of WWE Payback will come to you, live on pay-per-view, on June 16 from the Allstate Arena in Chicago, IL (CM Punk's Hometown). The official theme song for Payback is "Another Way Out" by Hollywood Undead off of the album, "Notes from the Underground". http://www.talkwrestlingonline.com/images/posters/wwe-payback-2013-poster.jpg Confirmed Matches CM Punk vs. Chris Jericho WWE Championship: Three Stages of Hell Match: John Cena © vs. Ryback World Heavyweight Championship: Dolph Ziggler © vs. Alberto Del Rio Intercontinental Championship: Triple Threat: Wade Barrett © vs. The Miz vs. Curtis Axel United States Championship: Dean Ambrose © vs. Kane WWE Tag Team Championship: Seth Rollins & Roman Reigns © vs. Randy Orton & Daniel Bryan Divas Championship: Kaitlyn © vs. AJ Lee Pre-Show Exclusive: Sheamus vs. Damien Sandow In the Three Stages of Hell Match, the first stage will be a 30-Man Lumberjack Match, the second stage will be a Tables Match, and the third stage, if necessary, will be an Ambulance Match.
  20. It definitely helps Ryback's cause that the fans are growing more and more anti-Cena. On the topic of Fandango's theme, I agree that it is a terrible theme, but as the music industry has shown us so many times in the past, a song can be terrible, but still be a catchy house of fire (see Gangnam Style).
  21. How awesome would it be if crowds took it upon themselves to try and outdo the previous week's crowd every week? Is there a source on the RVD news? It seems too good to be true. I marked out hardcore for Dolph cashing in. I have been eagerly anticipating the cash-in ever since Del Rio became the champion. Now, let's hope Ziggler gets a reputable reign as champion.

  23. Stephanie McMahon will be inducting Trish Stratus into the Hall of Fame and Vince McMahon will be inducting Donald Trump. I'm assuming that Stephanie will be inducting Trish because Lita wasn't available.
  24. Shawn Michaels will be in the corner of Triple H for the No Holds Barred Match. Also, the Intercontinental Title match has been bumped to the pre-show.
