  1. What is making her disappointed? I have found pretty much all of the contestants, in all the seasons, impressive. It takes a desire for precision to be a competent baker, a quality I sorely lack!
  2. I could see today's actors trying advanced treatments and potions, whatever it takes, to stay marketable into middle age and older. Totally agree about J-Lo and Sandra Bullock! I would add Marisa Tomei as well.
  3. I saw the Spice Girls in Spice World, and they were all bad. Beyonce was so-so in Dreamgirls, but the rest of the cast was good to great (Eddie Murphy).
  4. What are your thoughts on flight shaming? This is a movement to encourage people to fly less often — or give up flying completely. Rail travel is encouraged instead. Not sure if I want to give up planes quite yet.
  5. I know that there are naysayers about this, but eat lighter at night. Make peace with being mostly full at dinner, not bursting (still my struggle). Up your water intake starting later in the afternoon.
  6. Basketball is my favorite. We have a good team here, the Golden State Warriors, and a great point guard, Steph Curry. I like snowboarding, too.
  7. I fall into the YouTube black hole a few times a week. The topic can be something I have no plans on trying myself, like major bike repairs or flying on planes with private suites. I will keep watching if the vlogger seems to have genuine passion without seeming like a nut job. It also helps if the videos are paced well. What about you?
  8. When I think of a good TV series, I think of what I still enjoy seeing in reruns. Maybe the original or "regular" Law & Order?
  9. I like older country better than new, except for "Old Town Road." Cash and Parton are okay as well as Hank Williams and Willie Nelson.
  10. Cheese rolling looks awesome. Another different sport that I heard of is headless goat polo, played in Kyrgyzstan. The meat gets eaten later. Sounds practical!
  11. I'm watching Crashing on HBO. It's a pretty recent semi-autobiography about a comedian who splits from his wife and most of his religion. It doesn't get into social issues, but the daily struggles of trying to "make it" connect, IMO.
