I keep my curtains closed if it looks too light outside. Overcast weather makes me feel calmer than bright sunshine, too. I should move there!

The director announced that a digitally updated version will be available everywhere starting Tuesday. Maybe the changes will bring in more viewers? Opening numbers are quite a bit under projections.

Eddie Murphy brought back his characters from when he was on the SNL cast 35 years ago, such as Mister Robinson, Gumby, and Buckwheat. My favorite skit was Buckwheat as The Masked Singer. Did you catch any of this episode?

I do okay with crowds, concerts, and parties, but I also want many hours of recharge time on my own sofa in between those things.

I try to keep my resolutions open-ended and assume they have to be ongoing, maybe forever. Eating better and saving money within a general range are my two ongoing ones.

There are plenty from this year I still want to see, but so far I nominate Parasite and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. Maybe Joker, Toy Story 4, Rocketman, and Born to Run, too.

I wonder if Joaquin Phoenix, Todd Philips, and others associated with the movie feel kind of vindicated by its success. It must have been uncomfortably surprising that they had to answer the white-male-violence questions when the movie first got released.

I used to visit my library or a brick-and-mortar bookstore almost every week. Like @whaleshark mentioned, Kindle started taking over. That and other online reading.

@ShadowEdge It kind of did! It made me less shy about being out there. I do think that if you feel confident and relaxed on the dance floor, it shows easily.

Back when I wanted to impress people, I practiced in front of the mirror. So much cringe! I bet others here have done the same.

Some folks find gift cards boring, impersonal, or both. I get it. But it just seems easier to know which businesses people like and with the cards, let them decide what they want from there.

High-traffic retail or similar jobs. I get so mentally tired talking to people, even after events I go to by choice like friends' birthday parties.

This one is fine by me. Another hit from the recent past that I like is "Do They Know It's Christmas?" by Band Aid. What do you think of the John Legend - Kelly Clarkson remake of "Baby, It's Cold Outside"?

A few countries are depopulating. It would be easy to think that it means those societies' environments could become less strained and eventually greener. I just cannot see that being the case unless everyone leaves.

Yes, yuck to this dude's music. But is he too young to marry? Maybe. It would be nice to see his wife and him buck the celebrity marriage expectations and last for a few decades.

Hoping to catch this over the weekend. It seems like plots about crossing social classes are quite popular in Korean dramas. Someone poor outsmarts rich executives who look down on him/her, but that person romances an executive's kid or even one of the executives...

Like others posted here, at work I get busy. I also make myself talk more than I ever would at home. That plus assignments drains me mentally and emotionally. I am a lump by nightfall.

Paul Rudd has a baby face. I also saw a recent picture of January Jones, and I thought she looked almost half her age. Good genes go a long way.

I saw this director's Okja on Netflix, which was a very decent modern science fiction / adventure mix, but this looks much more thrilling. (I am so behind with new releases!)

Yes, they lost to Toronto! Injuries and little mistakes adding up made the Warriors’ chance of winning dwindle away. The Raptors did a fantastic job.

Taking a long road trip soon. Not sure if all that driving will be much better than taking a short plane ride. Paying for hotels and food will contribute to other towns' economies, at least.

This is coming out in December. I must say, I laughed when I first saw this trailer. The CGI is interesting, to say the least!

My preference is spending it over a few weeks on nights out. There are some great but pricey restaurants (top-grade sushi, etc.) where I live, and I would love to try them out. Booze included.

It feels nice being around fresh coffee or cookies just out of the oven. Peeling oranges is pretty great, too. Not sure how I feel about those aromatherapy machines. Might just be bad timing, but the scents from the ones I walk by are overpowering.
