  1. CCK won the CZW Tag Titles in Birmingham this week. Best thing about it was the reaction of all those people who never expected CZW titles to change hands on a UK show.
  2. It's only just twigged that 5 star wrestling are the same people responsible for that shitty, shitty wrestling game called 5 star wrestling. From what I remember the game was supposed to be a way to fund the wrestling shows, when in reality it looks like it was just a way for them to get the imports they wanted. I know it's probably a really snobbish attitude to have, but I don't count that 5 Star show as a UK Wrestling show. Sure it's a show that took place in the UK, but where World of Sport and WWE actually made a point of utilising and showcasing UK talent, this 5 Star show just didn't. Actually, they seem to have more in common with 1PW than anyone else, and we all know how that went down...
  3. Randy said himself that he feels like he should change his attire up a bit, so the fact that he hasn't suggests that this whole Wyatt deal isn't going to last very long. It's a bit crap though, because it blatantly gives away that Randy isn't a "proper" part of the family.
  4. I thought Galloway didn't renew his TNA deal?
  5. Have wXw signed a FloSlam deal to stream their shows? Because if they have, then that's the last you'll see of Pete or any UKCT competitors until their WWE contracts run out. It's the same reason why they got pulled from What's gonna be interesting is that there's a PROGRESS show scheduled for this weekend, and all of British Strong Style are supposed to be there. But then rumours abound that Tyler and Pete may be showing up either at Takeover or the Rumble itself. It's not outside the realms of possibility for them to perhaps appear on Takeover and catch a red eye flight that would get them to London in time for the Sunday afternoon show, but bloody hell that'd take some doing. I'm still in two minds about this whole WWE deal. If they do something, great, if they don't then they've successfully fucked over 16 of the top guys in the UK and stopped them from working in a lot of other places.
  6. I preordered one with the swish Collector's Edition of Zelda and a pro controller. I'm still wavering on whether or not this is a good idea.
  7. Yep, the last shows Ryan ran were as Pro Wrestling Kingdom, and they were actually really good. I'm quite looking forward to these new shows, but they still haven't confirmed the venue they'll be running in Birmingham yet.
  8. I may as well mail my wallet to Nintendo now, because I am sold as all hell on this console. I'm putting my preorder down immediately, and I'm more than likely gonna preorder all the games I can too. Skyrim. On a Nintendo. We're through the looking glass here people!!

    Problems at TNA?

Someone needs to drag Dixie out back, put the shotgun in her mouth and put us all out of her misery.
  10. And El Ligero, because it wouldn't be a British Wrestling show if Ligs wasn't in there somewhere!
  11. Whatever you're doing, stop it, click play on this, and make sure you've got your sound on.

    Problems at TNA?

It's not even unlucky, it's Dixie trying to be a crafty bitch and having it come back and bite her in the ass hard. She's been trying to tag Billy Corgan along, while also attempting to sell off smaller parts of the company to others. Like a dumbass. Rumour is she verbally agreed to sell the company to Corgan, and now she's trying to be crafty he's had enough and is resorting to using the legal system to force her out. At this point it's doubtful that Dixie has the money left to fight a long, protracted court case, so it could finally be at the point where she has to cut her losses, stop being an obnoxious prick, and just leave TNA once and for all. What's really funny is that Dixie owes Billy Corgan money personally. As in it's her debt, not TNA's, which is probably another reason why Billy's had to resort to legal proceedings. A lot of the talent are due to be paid next week, and it doesn't look there's gonna be any money forthcoming, so expect a walk out on a grand scale unless something is sorted out soon.

    Problems at TNA?

I'll believe it when it's confirmed. This Justin LaBar guy just tends to regurgitate whatever he hears from other dirtsheets and Meltzer, or in this case JR's podcast. All these "wrestling news" sites are reporting this all like it's a done deal, when anyone with any brains knows that nothing is certain in business until the ink has dried on the paperwork (and not always then). At this point if TNA were to sell the tape library, Billy Corgan would be buying the company basically as an easy way to try and secure the international TV deals TNA has. The deal with PopTV has to be worth next to nothing to TNA, so it's got to be the international deals he's interested in. Why else you buy a company that's probably at least $10 million in debt? In fact, how would that even work? I imagine Dixie's gonna want some kind of money out of this, and if she's expecting the buyer to inherit the debt, that means she's already gonna be asking for more than $10 million for a company that potentially won't even have a tape library you could exploit to try to create more revenue. This whole business deal has seemed screwy from the get-go, and it's getting worse by the day.

    Problems at TNA?

So say WWE have bought TNA, who do we want to see get given a chance in WWE? The first people I'd be throwing contracts at would be Decay. That's just such a great gimmick, and they could work wonders in the tag division. Then I'd be doing what I can to sign EC3 and immediately bring him in as an upper card talent. I know a lot of this depends on WWE using the talent correctly, and they can't even use their own right, but it'seems nice to daydream about it.

    Problems at TNA?

What's the potential for Corgan to let TNA die, start up his own company (without the ridiculous amount of debt) and ten set about trying to sign up the folks he wants to keep from the TNA roster?
  16. All American Boys? Fantastic shout! While we're on a Rougeau kick, I'll throw the Mountie's theme in for good measure: Even though I hated him as a little kid (he dumped a bucket of water over Bret Hart and shocked him ) I still sung the song. I couldn't help myself. I played it now and ended up singing along again. "...AND I ENFORCE THE LAW!!" Awesome.
  17. I'm hopelessly enamoured with TJP's new theme: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gO2xYKhGXZs
  18. South Park's been bumped back to the dreaded "Q1 2017", which means it'll most likely be Spring next year before we get a hold of that. There goes that Christmas present. :(
  19. The big guy is gonna get f*cked up royally. Like, CM Punk levels of f*cked up.
  20. I think ideally Corgan doesn't want it to get to a point where bids are placed, as that will start to inflate the price as well. The best thing Billy can do is attempt to buy the rest of the company in one outright go before anyone else starts sniffing around. Personally then I'd change the name and look and see about trying to get a better TV deal.
  21. Rumours also abound that TNA (well someone with some kind of sway in the financial stakes of TNA) has valued the company at $40 million. A kind estimate would place the tape library somewhere in the region of a value of $1 million, and at this point the tape library could well be the most valuable part of TNA. A lot of people are drawing the conclusion that someone inside TNA is trying to raise the price of the company to put people off buying it out. Reading between the lines, all signs point to Dixie not being ready to relinquish her grasp on the company just yet. I don't know why she doesn't just bite the bullet and sell to BIlly Corgan for a decent price?
  22. Those are all kinds of awesome! I'm especially surprised he managed to pull off playing Devil's Sky so well. Listening to this has made me realise that DIY's music sounds a lot like the battle music from FFVII
  23. After watching the whole tournament so far, I'm really wanting TJP or Rich Swann to win this. As entertaining as other guys have been, Perkins and Swann are more of a complete package than the other guys left in the tournament. ZSJ is a phenomenal wrestler, but he hasn't set the world alight in the tournament, and to be honest there's been a couple of times where he just looks like he's phoning it in. Ibushi is awesome, and again a great wrestler, but I don't feel like he's got as good a connection with the crowd as someone like Swann. Noam Dar has been...well, a bit of a disappointment to be honest. But then again, Dar strikes me as the kind of guy who believes his own hype and is cruising on name value rather than showing what he's capable of. Similar to ZSJ really. I don't see the fuss with Gran Metalik. I don't really understand what everyone else sees in him, because so far for me he's just been a pretty standard luchador. Swann has the entire audience in his pocket from the moment he makes his entrance until he leaves the arena. He could be over like gangbusters if he went on to win the tournament. TJP strikes me as the kind of guy who could be an exceptional cocky heel in the Cruiserweight division. He's just got an air of smugness about him as he goes about his business in the ring that you just can't teach. Hell, I'd be totally down to see Swann pip TJP to trophy, which then turns into a feud that transposes over to Raw. Oh, and props to Rich Swann's entrance music. It's no Lionel Richie, but it's still pretty damn smooth!
