  1. I love The Dark Knight as a film, but I'm not sure on Christian Bale. Specifically his ridiculous Batman voice. He was a great Bruce Wayne though. I'm torn, but I think I'd have to go for Michael Keaton. "You wanna get nuts...*smash*...let's get nuts!"
  2. I actually like hearing the entrance themes broken down into their various elements. I didn't realise just how much was layered on some of these. Oh, and here's the Nakamura one, because, y'know, Nakamura.
  3. Apparently rumour has it they took a good look at Will Ospreay, but he signed for NJPW instead. Pete Dunne needs to get a tryout as soon as possible. His current bruiserweight gimmick would make him a great heel foil for a whole bunch of guys in the Cruiserweight division.
  4. At some point we're getting Tozawa against Jack Gallagher, and I really don't know who to cheer for. TJ Perkins vs Johnny Gargano should be great too. Hell, the majority of the matches in this tournament are gonna be great for so many different reasons. Drew Gulak vs ZSJ could and should be a technical masterpiece, whereas I also can't wait to see Rich Swann and Lince Dorado go hell for leather. There's just so much to love about this tournament. The main problem is gonna be trying to top it if they attempt this again next year.

    Problems at TNA?

I think there's a place for something like the ROH Pure Title, where there are more strictly enforced rules for the match, but I don't for one second think it's a good idea to make that title the main focus of your promotion. And who are the ringside judges gonna be? We're well past the point where you can attempt to play wrestling off as a legitimate sport, so what's the point of this?
  6. Daniel Bryan commentating with the enthusiasm of a kid on Christmas day just makes it even more great!

    Problems at TNA?

So the person with no fricking clue whatsoever is now in charge of strategy? Solid business move.
  8. You've gotta love Bobby Roode attempting to turn on the Full Sail crowd and it just not working. :lol
  9. The both look like they're not finished. Although the versions I've seen doing the rounds do look awfully pixellated, rather than a hi-res render. Still though, it looks like the base of a logo that someone's planning on finishing off when they get round to it.
  10. It was a great match, but like you say it wasn't really up there with something like Cesaro/Sami. I think for me it was all the hype they placed on the match that took away from my enjoyment of it. They spent so long telling you how great the match was gonna be, it was always gonna be difficult to produce a match that lived up to the hyperbole.

    Problems at TNA?

An extraordinary xylophone, a lovely violin, and a dilapidated boat. And Señor Benjamin. I think the Final Deletion was kinda brilliant in it's ridiculousness. It's schlocky, over the top, and completely ludicrous, but it's also hilariously tongue in cheek and quite possibly one of the riskiest things TNA has done in forever. That being said it obviously started as some kind of riff on the production style of Lucha Underground and no doubt spiralled out of control. But still, as it's own little piece of wrestling curio I'm totally enamoured with it.
  12. The only issue I have from this (frankly AWESOME) episode is why doesn't Lady Mormont have a sword? Everyone else has their swords out shouting about the King of the North, and even though she's the one who got them all onside in the first place, she doesn't have a sword. It's only a little thing, but someone as badass as she is needs a thoroughly badass sword! :lol
  13. I've got head canon that the guys who first stormed the gate at Winterfell with Jon, Tormund and the giant, were the 62 badasses from House Mormont! :lol
  14. I loved that Lady Mormont was right there when sh*t was going down. She's immediately jumped to the top of my favourite characters list! :lol
  15. IBUSHI!! Super stoked to see Kota actually compete, and I'm over the moon that Drew Gulak is finally getting a chance to show what he can do. This should be a great tournament!
  16. The Hound of course. He is the little brother after all... ;) EDIT: Oh, and young Lady Mormont. What an absolute beast of a leader she's gonna grow up to be. She's either sending 62 of the baddest men on the planet, or it's gonna be 62 complete numpties and I can't wait to find out which it is! :lol
  17. The argument's there to be made that GTAV has already given you it's equivalent of DLC for free in GTA Online. Don't forget that was pushed initially as a completely separate game, and they've given away a whole bunch of expansions, heists, extra missions, fan created content, and cosmetic stuff for free.
  18. Dante is a great big man, and he's right, he does work better as the big man side of a tag team. Like Shaun said, he's criminally underrated, but he's gonna be hard pushed to find another partner who is gonna suit him as well as Tommy. I dunno, I'd maybe recommend he does a Doc Gallows and head over to Japan for a while where he'll stand out as a large guy and see if he can find himself a new tag partner he has chemistry with.
  19. Man, it's gutting that I'm probably not gonna be able to watch Tommy on local shows anymore, but it's great news that he's hopefully gonna be getting the kind of recognition a guy with his talent deserves. If you're looking for great Tommy End performances, then I'd probably recommend him competing in the WXW 16 Carat tournament, and this years PROGRESS Super Strong style 16. In fact, any of his matches from PROGRESS have been stormers. He had a great match with Dave Mastiff in Fight Club Pro that I was lucky enough to be there for, and then there's a whole world of work with him and Michael Dante teaming as the Sumerian Death Squad that is well worth checking out. Man, part of me really hopes they sign the SDS as a team. Good gravy, can you imagine some of the tag matches in NXT with the SDS thrown into the mix?!
  20. Well Ian McShane has been quoted as saying he's bringin a beloved character back with him when he appears in the series, so the obvious choice for the person to face The Mountain would be The Hound, surely? We never actually saw him die. Sure he was in a bad way, but if GoT has taught me anything, it's to never believe someone is dead unless you actually see it on screen. The Cleganebowl marks are gonna lose their minds. :lol
  21. I'm hoping it gets announced at E3, because then at least that means that the original RDR will go backwards compatible and I can play it through again. :D Funny thing is, rumours are starting to circulate about GTA6 too, so there's the very real possibility that Rockstar could hit us with some kind of announcement for both games and watch the gaming world lose it's collective sh*t. There's also been a lot of interest in the fact that Rockstar advertised 100+ extra job roles at the end of last year, which a lot of folks are saying lends credence to Rockstar working on multiple titles at the same time. Plus we never got the "Agent" game they started banding around in 2007/2008, which was supposed to have been held off while they trialled new gameplay mechanics and engines in games such as Rockstar Table Tennis, Max Payne 3 and LA Noire. There's a case to be made that Rockstar are purposely misdirecting us with talk about RDR2 (technically Red Dead 3, but that's just me being pedantic) and a new GTA, when they could very well be about to drop a completely new franchise on an unsuspecting gaming world. It's all speculation, but like Gringles said, Rockstar only have a couple of franchises so I'd expect to see them at least attempt to get another IP started up in the next couple of years.
  22. How the flying f*ck is that a segment on a supposedly professionally made wrestling show? It looks like the entire thing was filmed (and scripted) by some kid as their high school media studies project. A sh*t high school media studies project. Like, the kind the kid pulled out at the last minute because they forgot about the project all summer and just realised they have 2 days to get their stuff together before they have to hand it in. And don't even get me started on how monumentally sh*t Matt and Jeff were. I wish we had time travel so we could go back to 1998 and drag them both forwards in time to show themselves what they become. Please tell me this isn't representative of TNA as a whole now?
  23. I'm not sure, it looks like they're all leaving Castle Black together, but Brienne is being sent down to Riverrun and the others were planning on visiting the smaller houses to start putting an army together? I'd be totally down with a Brienne and Tormund road trip though!
