  1. She always was a bit mental... wonder if it has also got anything to do with her ex-husband and former battered partner Drew Galloway showing up in the promotion as well?
  2. Your right about Just Cause 3 - I finally managed to get a play on it today and it is as wonderfully bonkers and chaotic as it previously was but it is actually harder then number 2 - which considering your one man taking on an entire army makes sense I suppose. Not impressed with Star Wars Battlefront, I know the majority of it was going to be online based but there is next to no single player and I'm not forking out £40 for a season pass and then waiting for more stuff to arrive as well as download times. Seen as I got another copy of Destiny with Taken King I will trade in my old one along with Battlefront and see if I can get Tomb Raider. Also waiting on Broken Sword 5 and NBA2K16 to download, I was given £50 of credit for the X-Box store and picked them up for £50 between them in the current festive sales. Damn I have too many games to play at the moment, but given the fallow period that usually occurs in January and February I should get through it okay whilst we await some actual decent games to arrive - unlike Farming Simulator 2016.
  3. Fedor Emelianenko reappeared last night on one of the MMA special events they still tend to do in Japan on New Years Eve, this time it was RIZIN and he won in the first round against Jaideep Singh via submission due to punches. They also held a World Grand Prix of three matches won by King Mo in a field that also included Teodoras Aukstuolis, Jiri Prochazka and Vadim Nemkov with Mo beating Prochazka in the final by KO. Also Bob Sapp reappeared, beating Akebono by KO.
  4. Saw this yesterday and it is, on my first viewing, my second favorite Star Wars film ever behind Empire... but damn it was close and just a bloody well made film, let alone a Star Wars film. Daisy Ridley as Rey is amazing, the work she does with her eyes and body language alone and her chemistry with everyone was excellent. So many ideas are bubbling in my head about just who she might be as well in terms of the Star Wars universe and so many unanswered questions but the genius thing is, we know answers are coming in 2017 and 2019 and I already can't wait. It gave me tingles, goosebumps, nearly made me cry and at the end I was just in awe - THAT is what Stars Wars should be.
  5. It did get panned but the fact is skateboarding has passed both Tony Hawk by (he is retired after all) and his game series by. Hopefully EA make another addition of Skate soon, as that is best boarding game you can get now. Was fun to play the remaster of THPS on the X-Box 360 arcade the other year and I still have THPS2 on the Dreamcast (the best version of Tony Hawk ever) which gives me all the old skaters, the old venues and of course the best soundtrack they ever had. Best £40 I ever spent getting that Dreamcast with House of the Dead, NIGHTS, THPS2, Crazy Taxi, Shenmue and Jet Set Radio.
  6. I find that if you attack them, whilst you are below 3 in the rankings and enter a rivalry then you'll be given a random match with them on Raw or Smackdown, non title, in which they will reverse every move and your only hope is to reverse everything they try and do to you and maybe eek out a win at which point the game will end your rivalry - thus you cannot hotshot up the rankings, you have to grind. It is not until you are number two and then they attack you either during or before a match that a rivalry over the belt starts, at least that is what I have found with the US and IC titles. No one else bar Renee (who is completely creepy, you're right there) and your character has voice acting in career mode and the choices are a bit stunted but I expect them to build on these blocks bit by bit and make it better. Much like another 2K game, NBA 2K15, the career mode was a bit samey in that outside of the games in terms of vocal choices etc but it has got better in 2K16, no doubt helped by Spike Lee writing and directing it but it shows that unlike say EA, at least 2K will try and continue to expand the game engine and choices every year. It is a good game, a bit of chore to play all the time in career mode but still verses and universe are fun and can be very varied, the community support and CAW making has been excellent this year as well and have you noticed some superstars have vocal elements to their taunts now as well (like Paige screaming this is my house) - better then 2K15, not perfect but I have high hopes for what they do with 2K17.
  7. It is a god damn grind isn't it? Took me two years of my career to win the IC, US and NXT titles with still the world and Tag to go and that's without hold a belt for a year and such to get in the Hall of Fame. Plus those Authority objectives are stupid, don't add anything to the game regarding storyline or speeding up your passage to the top of the rankings (you'd think being liked by the authority would do that) but the new move download was fun, just a shame it cost money this year.
  8. Still have Halo 5 to complete due to Fallout 4 taking over my world last month, the career mode of WWE2K16 to continue, Forza 6 to mop up on, Lego Jurassic World to actually play and Mad Max to actually install and play. On top of that I got Star Wars Battlefront, Just Cause 3 and Destiny: The Taken King for Christmas and £50 of X-Box Live credit, which I will either use on Tomb Raider or NBA2K16 - haven't decided which yet.
  9. If you are a Gold member, for the past 18 months or so they do Games with Gold which should be on the dashboard. Sometimes they are indie or arcade games like Max: Curse of Brotherhood or sometimes they are AAA titles like the last Tomb Raider game or this month (on the One at least) Thief. You have to have an X-Box Live Gold Membership however.
  10. Only Knight is available on the One. Every other Batman game is on the 360. I'd recommend still keeping your 360 hooked up somewhere as your Gold membership applies to both consoles as an existing user which means you get Games with Gold on both consoles and usually the two available on the 360 per month for free are different to the two you get on the One. On the recommendation front, if you like music/rhythm games don't buy Guitar Hero Live, go for Rock Band 4 instead.
  11. You can skip Origins really though, its much shorter, got a few glitches and tends to crash when loading about 20% of the time. However DC is right about Arkham City, its a brilliant game and probably the best of the Arkham series.
  12. Ryse doesn't last long but is fun whilst it does. The DLC is just more multiplayer maps but if you ever wanted to be like Russell Crowe in Gladiator then this is the closest your going to come. If you like wandering, looting, quest completing and want a sense of humour to go with that then Borderlands is a good game. It isn't for everyone don't get me wrong but there are tonnes of different weapons, shields and grenades to find, loads of different quests, a rich story and there are distinct paths you can take when levelling up characters, of which there are four in each game and each one of those has specific abilities too.
  13. Fallout 4. Seriously, I lost an actual week of my life in game time playing that game - buy Fallout 4. Then there is Forza 6, which is awesome if you like driving games, Halo: Master Chief Collection and Halo 5 if you want to play the best FPS's of all time, WWE2K16 which can be way more fun then the actual WWE right now, Borderlands: The Handsome Jack Collection and if you can get it, the Destiny and Fallen King bundle. Also now they have fixed all the bugs on Diablo III its a fun little hack and slash RPG romp as well.
  14. There is a wonderful mythology and storyline at the heart of the universe that Lucas just kept on tinkering with and butchering. His flabby screenplays with wooden dialogue and the poor casting choice of Hayden as Anakin are the reason why the prequels never reached the highs they should have. I could never tell if Anakin was falling in love with Padme or experiencing a difficult bowl movement in Attack of the Clones.
  15. I'm not going for like two weeks after the films come out. As much as I love Star Wars, as much as I enjoyed the films, yes including the prequels, I am not putting up with people cheering when the roll down opening appears, or a lightsaber gets turned on, or the Falcon appears. Sometimes the worst thing about a franchise movie are the super fans, I just want to watch the film in bloody peace. If I have to watch the films with kids with lightsabers going on and off all the way through I think I'll die. So I'm gonna let them all go in the initial rush, let them enjoy the movie how they want to enjoy it and then go and watch it in my old fuddy duddy way.
  16. Yeah, I agree. I was a different time, a different WWE, a different generation of consoles... Hell it was 15 years ago - wrestling games have moved on a hell of a lot since then, some of it for the good, some of it for worse but they've moved on.
  17. Is JBL ever going to do another episode of his show or was it just an excuse for him to rake over the coals of the Monday Night War and gloat a little more?
  18. Got this last night and have been playing it since. A lot of emphasis both in the achievements and the way the game is laid out if now on the MyCareer and Showcase modes and less on just having random matches and the online multiplayer which is a good thing given previous titles. There is a tonne to unlock, the graphics by and large on the One version are quality although Renee Young looks a bit, well, wrong in the face (poor Renee). The commentary is a bit better, with relevant titbits on superstars but by and large, like most wrestling games, it is the weakest part of the game. The creation suite is extensive, the NXT part of the career mode longer and it encourages you and enables you to pick rivals once your outside of the tutorial part and complete your first one. Some of the moves as well, damn it has a good move list for CAW and the appearance side is excellent as well. There is a lot more replay value in this title then there has been in the past - I've not even gone that deep into the Showcase mode yet or touched the Universe mode either but it just feels deep. Also the game plays in a more balanced and less arcade manner then before and blows the later Smackdown v Raw games out of the water.
  19. Played through the first two missions of Halo 5 and they are good fun, wonderfully rendered and it looks like the story could be taking an interesting turn. Still have 12 or so to go through though so we'll see how it turns out. The intro to the game though, the cinematic as you enter into the first mission and first control the new character, Locke. Damn, it was good.
  20. Played on FIFA from launch until today, my Ultimate Team, a EPL one was pretty epic... GK: Courtois 86 RB: Darmian 81 CB: Kompany 85 CB: Otamendi 84 LB: Baines 83 CDM: Fabregas 87 RM: Mata 84 LM: Sanchez 86 CAM: Silva 88 ST: Rooney 86 ST: Costa 86 Bench Cech 85 Azpilicueta 82 Schweinsteiger 86 Willian 82 Pedro 83 Falcao 83 Reserve Matic 84 Then I realised, it will either cost real money on packs to get a better team (Hazard is 350,000 coins, Aguero is 450,000) or a La Liga one as it always does and I'd done all I could do single player wise and no one else was really playing it that much in my friends list to get online achievements and replay so I traded it... FOR ROCK BAND 4! Oh yes!
  21. Whilst they may be the driving force I expect the show to tie in with them somehow, like the Kree and the Inhumans being introduced via the show before Guardians of the Galaxy, like the show tying in with Winter Solider with the Hydra takeover of Shield - it has to and will tie in somewhere because everything in the MCU is tied in somehow. With Shield recruiting and using Inhumans like Daisy/Syke one of them has to have an 'episode' at some point that will lead to the Accords being passed, like the New Warriors when they faced down Nitro in the actual Civil War comic. They where being discussed after World War Hulk in the comics but the disaster at Stamford pushed them through - but in the MCU we haven't had Hulk, we have New York and the events of Age of Ultron instead and soon the tipping point will occur. Question is, will it happen in Agents or will the opening of Cap 3 establish it instead?
  22. I believe it will go through the attempted re-establishment of Hydra and then lead us into something that ties in with Cap 3: Civil War. I predict someone Inhuman going a bit mental and leading us into a tipping point that will lead to the Registration Act
  23. Watched the WWE 24/7 behind NXT Takeover: Brooklyn and good god it was good. The final parts leading up to, during and after the Bayley v Sasha match was really emotional and brilliantly done. Well worth a watch, it really is.
  24. Forza 6 is pretty decent, the graphics are an upgrade, they've dialled back the Top Gear bumming, they have introduced rain and night driving mechanics as well which make a difference to you're experience and can, in the wet, make you aquaplane which is scary at 190mph in a P1. Really enjoying it so far and its nice to play a driving game that isn't actually broken (I'm looking at you Project Cars).
  25. Short term nostalgia pop, put over Rollins as he gets to defeat another former champion or we could just go full Attitude regression and have him and Matt come back, challenge New Day and then get thrown out 3 months later for Wellness Violations and being drunk as f**k. That's all I can think of though, short term boost and then the exit door.
