  1. Because if Cena is going to top Flair and have a 17th run a a world champion, he needs to lose it again. I've read a lot of people saying, without irony, that it would unfair to Flair if Cena beat the record so cheaply. What they are ignoring (wilfully or not) is that Flair set the record so cheaply. His last three runs were for a total of 35 days combined (28, 7 and then less than one), so Cena, on 14 days, has already beaten the final two runs of Flair for length.

    Six Nations 2017

What a second-half comeback by my adopted homeland today; trailing 7-6 at the break (after being 7-0 down), then turning that around to a 7-33 victory.

  4. The prognosis is that Seth will be out for around 8wks, which takes him to WrestleMania weekend, so he might just make it. If they need a replacement (and Triple H is insisting he has a match on the show), they could always give it to Joe and have Triple H express a little remorse, saying he only wanted Joe to soften him up, not take him out. Of course, this does create a mite of an issue because Joe was brought up explicitly to be Hunter's heavy in this scenario, so I'd proffer that they take a page out of the Cyrus Grissom / Diamond Dog relationship if they (on screen) question why Joe turns on HHH. “It’s a means to an end, my white friend. A means to an end. See, I’s can play house n***er tills we get to where we’re goin’. And then, the Day of the Dog begins.”
  5. WWE knew exactly what they were doing with having Roman at #30. It was the absolute perfect troll move. "The WWE Universe want a Samoan called Joe in the Rumble? I'll give them a Samoan called Joe in the goddamn Rumble!"
  6. Yeah, that made me laugh too. Normally you at least have Off-Camera Interview Man ask a question on the way, so to have this be literally nothing but walking was odd.
  7. Tyler Bate was in the crowd for Takeover last night and they had a video on WWE.COM of him arriving in San Antonio (with "wrestling luggage" in tow), so it's likely he may make a surprise appearance in the Rumble, possibly doing a Bo Dallas and eliminating one big name (please let it be Show) and putting in a respectable performance.
  8. That's a really good idea.
  9. Yeah; I mentioned a few posts ago that I'd read reports stating the same, though other reports lean towards it being that WWE made a financial investment to get the service up and running, but have no actual stake in the company itself. Seems this is where they could have some (slight?) leverage in getting EVOLVE to move streaming platforms. On another note, the indies that appear on The Network (if that does come to fruition) could benefit from WWE name talent appearing on their shows in a one-off capacity (surprise or pre-announced; the latter being more likely due to the tickets it would likely sell, although the former would give said indy shows a "you never know who might appear at a live event" vibe too) more blatantly than they do now.
  10. Aleister Black was chosen as the first name is in homage to Aleister Crowley and Black just fits the gimmick.
  11. Lucha Underground have filmed the entirety of Season 3, so he'll go by Pentagon Dark there for now regardless. Based on spoilers (I unfortunately was ambushed with during the comments on an article totally unrelated to LU), he is destined to be a huge part of the next season, so it'll be interesting to see what happens there (AAA and LU have a behind-the-scenes relationship, though not to the extent of the former ruling over the latter).
  12. The Network has parental controls and the original ECW is on there pretty much as it originally aired, so ICW should be fine. From what I read online (based on reports from Meltzer), Progress and OTT are also meant to be signing up to the Network (with an "Indy Scene" selection from the 'Shows' drop-down on The Network) and WWE are also actively trying to have EVOLVE move from FloSlam to The Network also. It's worth noting that WWE has a financial stake in FloSlam as well.
  13. The domain for their website is registered to a British wrestler by the name of Ryan Smile.
  14. Sorry; that was a general "judge for yourself" to everybody on the forum (I know you've seen it).

  16. In-ring, WWE has had a ton of MOTY contenders, so if you're talking about creative, then yeah, it has been poor for a long time, but if it's just the quality of matches, then WWE have more than held their own.
  17. I'm coming to the end of Mad Max and have also started Day of the Tentacle.
  18. I'm thinking this is the year we finally get the Cena heel turn (with a possible face turn from AJ at the same time). He's going part-time and is already backtracking on his comments against The Rock for going "Hollywood", so the hypocrite aspect could be enough to instigate the turn.
