    Top 5 comedy characters?

They are two halves of one comedy whole.
  2. Ah; when you said "It has produced one wrestler of note in it's entire span", I assumed "it" was the show and not just the winners of said show. If you are talking about WWE, then yes, only one winner has made anything of themselves, but the show itself has produced some notable performers and as there is wrestling outside of WWE, it's a little unfair to ignore any achievements the TE alumni have accomplished after their time on the show.

    Top 5 comedy characters?

Father Dougal Lenny & Carl Kryton Basil Fawlty Fletcher
  4. In TNA, he's only going by his first name with no mention of Rhodes.
  5. As well as Miz, there's also Ryback, Kenny King, Matt Morgan, Marty "The Moth" Martinez from Lucha Underground, Matt Cross (Son of Havoc from Lucha Underground), Ivelisse (um, Ivelisse from Lucha Underground) and Cameron (to a degree) who have had at least a level of wrestling success post-TE.

    Problems at TNA?

You've just perfectly described TNA for the majority of it's existence, so the situation might end up being as stated.
  7. Table for 3 is back and the first ep of the new series was pretty damn funny as Mark Henry, Big Show and Kane talk about their 20+ year careers (think about that; all three have been on TV for two damn decades).

    Problems at TNA?

EC3 would be the perfect guy for Daniel Bryan to bring in as his proxy to take on Miz, especially if they go with the whole history of the original NXT series, where Bryan was mentored by Miz and then Bateman was mentored by Bryan. Decay are one of my favourite acts in TNA, so they'd be a no-brainer, while I'd also take on Drew and Lashley if they were willing. Depending on how it was done (and whether WWE would close it down or keep the show running), I'd also have the following "jump ship" to NXT or the main roster. Aron Rex Bram (get the original Ascension reunited and use that as a reboot) Broken Matt Hardy Jeff Hardy (back in Charismatic Enigma mode) James Storm Bro-Mans Spud (add him to the CWD) Trevor Lee Tyrus Gail Kim Maria (manager role) Jeremy Borash The Pope Earl Hebner
  9. This is what I used when I was The Fighting Scotsman in BWP.
  10. If the British press (well, press in general) didn't do these types of set-ups (not just in football), a lot of people would be getting away with a lot of stuff they shouldn't be. With Sam Allardyce, this was a long-term sting and not based on just that one night. Also, blaming the press for a guy being morally dubious (at best) in a situation he didn't know was being filmed is missing the point; had Sam just said no to the offers and not stated he could help them break international football rules, he wouldn't have lost his job. He got lucky with bung allegations in the past, so should have been more careful, especially as he had just attained his dream position in football. Again, blaming anyone but the manager in this situation is missing the point of why it was done and why he was let go. I fully expect certain forum members to come in all expletive-happy and tell me that I don't know what I'm talking about, which won't change the fact Sam only has himself to blame.
  11. I see your Mountie Theme and raise you...
  12. Three-way and four-way matches have always been No Disqualification (though the rules can, and have, been tweaked to suit a storyline) and the different between a Triple Threat and a Three-Way Dance is that the former is one-fall and the latter is elimination (i.e. two falls).
  13. It's not Bioshock 4, but System Shock is getting an HD upgrade for release on PS4.
  14. Uriah Hall must be the biggest drop-off disappointment based on Ultimate Fighter potential v UFC reality. Two absolutely brutal knockouts and a total-dominance (until the final) of the show and then *fart noises* all round.
  15. If he was going to do that, he'd need more than a mask since his tattoos are so iconic; something like the original MVP outfit. Although, that would only really be viable for WWE to use, because the other promotions like RoH would be wasting the drawing power of CM Punk's return to the ring by hiding him (and even then, that still really applies to WWE too).
  16. The last RAW (or PPV if closer) before Miz will break the Honky Tonk Man's record should he retain could have nuclear heat if they build it properly in (say) the 4-8wks beforehand (once it's palpably close to being a reality), regardless of whether Miz wins or loses. Hell, bring in Honky Tonk Man himself to plead with wrestlers to challenge the Miz culminating in that last match before the record is broken. You could even have Miz win a defence three weeks before he is due to break the record and then state on live TV he will not defend it for another 30 days (as is mandatory), meaning he will definitely set a new longest reign, prompting Daniel Bryan to dangle carrot after carrot in front of Miz until he cannot refuse to put the title on the line at the last available moment. It could be epic.
  17. I imagine they've dropped the Kalisto angle due to the injury, but also because (hopefully) Kalisto will be dropping into the Cruiserweight Division on RAW upon his return. They need to have Hunico drop Sin Cara (to aid Kalisto as well; stops the "one-half of the Lucha Dragons" and lets him be his own guy) and enter the CWD as himself too.
  18. I think if you look at through the prism of comparing pre-turn Usos (who had become stale SuperkickPartyPals) to post-turn Usos, the praise becomes more understandable. For me, The Miz has been quietly (until his D-Bryan rant) the workhorse of the roster and I'm just hoping they continue it and finally (FINALLY!) have the IC Title regain some prestige. They did it with the US Belt until Cena lost it and then it became virtually worthless, so I'm not going all-in on it, but there is hope.
  19. He can use Cody Rhodes for non-televised events, but if anything is to make the air, then he can't (and went by Cody R. at the recent BOLA).
  20. Only if he subtracts himself from the post of Smackdown Commissioner.
  21. Yeah; Seth reaching out an olive branch and being sincere about how he regrets the way things went down, only for Roman to brush him off, could be the great start of a double-turn that could work wonders for both guys.
  22. Meltzer has said there was no truth in the rumours WWE (or ROH) made enquiries about buying TNA, plus he also added that the US$40 million valuation was way over and a zero should be removed. Billy Corgan is now the majority owner of the company and it is looking likely that Dixie is on the way out (at least as it relates to genuine corporate positions; she might remain an on-screen talent). I have no doubt that Vince would love to have the TNA tape library to bolster both the Network and any retrospectives on talent who worked there, be it Sting, Booker T, The Dudleys or Kurt Angle or current roster guys like Joe, AJ, Roode, Aries, Eric Young, etc, etc.
  23. Another harrowing one to watch is 9/11, which was a documentary by two French brothers who were scheduled to be filming the initial few months of a probationary firefighter in New York. However, a routine check on a reported gas leak was interrupted by the first plane crashing into the Twin Towers and the rest of the film is the immediate aftermath of that, both on-site and back at the station. It is amazingly powerful, with some imagery and comments that have stuck with me from when I first saw it in 2002.
  24. ^^^^ Fantastic. In what could be an interesting development, WWE.COM are taking their "Where are they now?" column and making it a video series.
