  1. Speaking of releases, Ryback has had a Twitter meltdown, posted a load of "controversial" stuff, deleted it all, posted this: http://dailywrestlingnews.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/Ryback-screencap.jpg Then deleted that as well.

    WWE NXT 2014

Bit more broader than just the Network so I posted it here, on 27th February the WWE are going to be airing the NXT tapings live on the Network in prime time, so the show will be going head-to-head against Impact. The WWE seem to be going out all guns blazing as two of the matches will be Bo Dallas v Adrian Neville for the NXT Title in a ladder match, and a re-match of the 2/3 falls match (same stips this time) between Sami Zayn and Antonio Cesaro.

    WWE Network

There's a week's free trial on February 24th, doubt you'll get to have a free week after that though or everyone will just time their free week to fall over WrestleMania Sunday.

    WWE Network

I don't want to sound crass or judgemental, but if you're a wrestling fan and have the means to afford $9.99 with time to utilise it (I assume they'll charge £9.99 in the UK) then I truly believe you would be crazy not to purchase the WWE Network. For the output they're going to be giving I actually think $9.99 isn't enough.
  5. I'm pretty sure he got into the car with a bad back, a broken neck and a bad shoulder and so anything that happened wasn't his fault.
  6. Daniel Wyatt. http://dailywrestlingnews.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/Bryan-big.jpg
  7. TNA can't use Orlando for tapings for the majority of 2014 because they didn't know that all the sound stages are booked up for other productions. I swear it's like they're trying to fail at this point.
  8. Yeah it was just an observation, WEC was great. Speaking of WEC, JOE MARTINEZ~! was back doing the ring announcing for this show. I really do prefer him to Buffer for some reason. Go out of your way to watch Saffiedine/Lim, it was the craziest fight. Easily the best fight of 2014 so far...
  9. I was thinking about how watered down TUF had become, so I searched out a Sporcle quiz on TUF winners to see how I did. http://www.sporcle.com/games/El_Jay/winners-of-the-ultimate-fighter I got 16 out of 24. The quiz doesn't have any of the TUF Brazil or TUF: Smashes series which is great because I can't remember them. Share how you do!
  10. For me it's down to his fighting style. I remember when he was a young guy, full of enthusiasm for striking, running out there without fear and just standing and banging with guys with almost limitless energy. Then he got old, he was still striking but was losing, he was still standing and banging but was running out of energy quickly. Now he's even older, but he's back to fighting how he was as a young guy and the only possible reasons for that it's because of the TRT or that he has access to a fully working time machine. I also don't like how the UFC up until this point have deliberately kept him out of the USA to avoid having any complications. My other issue, and it's the same issue I have with anyone who uses TRT, is that there's a reason he's got low testosterone levels, either because they're naturally producing less testosterone because they're older, or because of using added testosterone or other steroids in the past. People who have bad vision aren't allowed to wear glasses when they fight. People who have a lost a leg can't go in there with a cybernetic leg. People who are short of breath aren't allowed an oxygen tank in there. Admittedly those are extreme examples, but why should someone with a naturally weaker system be allowed to top themselves up to the level they had when they were younger?
  11. Looks like the Belfort/TRT argument is going to have its climax. Weidman vs. Belfort is almost as good as set for Nevada, a place where fighters have to seek permission to use TRT, and as Belfort has failed a steroids test in the past he is very unlikely to be granted a TRT exemption and thus will not be allowed to use it. So I will go on record and say that if Belfort doesn't get his TRT exemption and still beats Weidman then I will accept that Belfort is a better fighter than I give him credit for.
  12. It's the second card in the last month where the highest weight class is Welterweight, the majority of fighters are 145lbs and under, so it's basically WEC time again.
  13. Just a warning for those in the UK: tomorrow's UFC Fight Night from Singapore will not be live on BT Sport as it's 11:30am UK time and as they can't show it before the watershed it's on tape delay at 9pm.

  15. [video=youtube;HEDe8OGdBjo]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HEDe8OGdBjo Any guesses as to what Ronda and her team were watching? Answer is actually in the video title of course.
  16. I've read somewhere that Silva has been telling people he heard the bone crack on the first leg kick he threw, then kicked Weidman again out of instinct which snapped it. Not sure how reliable that is though.
  17. I'm not going to say Silva is past it, and I'm fully aware I'm going to get ranted at for saying this, but Weidman beat Silva in the second fight before the injury stoppage. Silva was out after the punch from the clinch and 8 out of 10 times a referee would have stopped the fight, some people get more time to recover especially in Main Event title matches which is why the fight continued. And I still stand by my opinion that Belfort would be past it if TRT wasn't keeping him young.
  18. Good lord that was horrendous. I think it's something to do with lanky fighters with thin legs as Corey Hill was exactly the same when he broke his leg. Like has been said Weidman was winning the fight up until that point but there is not a person in the world who would want the fight to end the way it did. That's surely it for Silva now, hopefully he will be able to get back to 100%. Hill managed it and even started fighting again, hopefully Anderson's age won't cause the rehabilitation any problems. Ignoring the leg break the whole show was fantastic. Finishes aplenty, Tate/Rousey was a tremendous fight with Rousey now being the UFC's top heel, Travis Browne looked sensational, it's always great when Jim Miller wins and Uriah Hall actually won a fight. For those of you interested in the future of Ronda's belt, which should be all of you, she's defending against fellow Olympic medalist Sara McMann next as Cat Zangano's injury isn't healed yet. Incredibly it's only going to be less than two months away, now headlining UFC 170 on the 22nd February with Daniel Cormier/Rashad Evans as the co-Main Event.
  19. I really hope Weidman does win. I have nothing against Anderson at all now he's not fightng like he did against Leites, Coté, Maia etc., but I just want a new start to come through and be a big deal. Plus it must be very annoying for Weidman to be constantly called a fluke champion, and hopefully if he does win again there will be no doubt left in people's minds. That said I'm still favouring Silva.
  20. This, plus any variations of CoD by other gaming companies. It's not that I hate them, I just struggle to grasp how it can be any different in each annual release. I know that as a FIFA fan that makes me a bit of a hypocrite, but at least with FIFA there's a bit of variation within the game.
  21. Speaking of kickboxing I stumbled upon the Glory shows on BT Sport last night which is worth a watch for striking fans. Not sure if this one is being replayed but future shows should be on there.
