  1. Doesn't that send the wrong signal? People who read books aren't likely to click on that link. Pushing The Pen. Sound good? A Book A Day.........how about that one?
  2. The Travelling Wilburys. I don't know if super-groups like that count, but they meet the your qualifications. Other than them, I can't think of any either.
  3. You can always just edit what you have and make a novelette or short story out of it. It's your work of art, you can make it what you want.
  4. Meaning he got his citizenship, not that he.......changed.....or anything. :D I say good for him. He looks happy. I just have to wonder if he's going to retire though.
  5. That's a very good thing. Two good things, actually. What a pleasant way for a young girl to meet a suitable "suiter", if you will. Gives me hope for the next generations coming up the ranks.
  6. I have an idea for a tagline, but this is a family friendly site, so........."The Watering Down Of America" That sounds better than my initial idea.
  7. Dust..........You're the man. How did you find that? That is excellent. I can't link right now, but Greg Lake has a good one too from back in the day.
  8. You don't want to know. Shadow Demons creeping out of back alleys, Grey's hovering above it all, not worried about concealment as the clouds have our backs on nights like that, and the air so thick with with wet that you WILL pass out if you breathe too much outdoors. We love Seattle. :D
  9. You betcha! They say when you have nothing else to talk about, you talk about the weather. But this...….Gloomy Seattle takes the cake. Would you move there if you got a killer job opportunity? Knowing what the weather is like?
  10. There is nothing wrong with being a homebody. It's what a person, like me, does when they grow up from being a wallflower. Your DIY skills improve, if nothing else.
  11. I have been wanting to get one of those old-school alarm clocks. I want to be less dependent on technology and I figure that's a cheap way to start. Rather ironic, really. I can't find the time to buy a time-piece.
  12. Here is some entertainment for everyone, but it comes with a price. Of all British singers during a 20 to 30 year stretch, who had the best vocals? Roger Daltry or Elton John? i'm flipping a coin here, please help me decide.
  13. Gift cards have long ago stopped being stocking stuffers. If you're out in a store shopping anyway, why not pick one up for that cousin a thousand miles away.
  14. The only way to end the pace of climate change is to end the human race. Since that won't happen people need to settle down and realize that us humans are capable of some extraordinary acclimations. We have acclimated to different climates for different reasons ever since we were humans, and we will acclimate to this.
  15. So.......You don't have any scissors to open a box, yet you want to order scissors that come in a box. Who was it that said " I planned on being lazy one day but I put it off instead" ? You gotta laugh at things sometimes.
  16. I started reading before I even knew what the word meant. ( It's 2 syllables. Beyond me at the time) So I don't know if I ever set goals, I just read when I can
  17. You can do algebra? Smartypants. :p I never did catch on to that. But fast food. I have worked fast and never will. I don't have the people skills for that.
  18. Mick Jagger tried to be a leading man in Ned Kelley, an Australian film from '71, and failed miserably. He's had a few supporting roles which were decent enough, but he should stick with what he's good at.
  19. No love for Betty White? We have give Madam White her her props. No one can tell what 100 looks like by looking at her. Halle Berry along with Keanu Reeves have aged well too.
  20. That's what we're here for Pumba. A virtual ear to vent to. This is what I like about the internet. Finding friendly communities, of which there is an abundance, when it's hard to find friendly people in real life.
  21. D and R brought jokes. That was pretty clever, actually. I would go back in time and not start smoking cigarettes. That was, hands down, the worst mistake I ever made.
  22. Most days I just don't care enough about other people to care what's on their phone. That, and I respect others' privacy as much as I want them to respect mine.
  23. Would you mind telling the class what precipitated someone saying that to you? No one just blurts that out without being prompted first. Now THAT would be unfair.
  24. What I took from the OP was that a truth was told so many times and exaggerated along the way to the point where it sounds fictional. When I see "myth" I see an exaggeration that might have been the truth in an earlier time.
  25. As a fellow dog lover, I have to agree. I think the dog with the best training on a television show was Eddie from Frasier.
