  1. Breaking Bad was the best thing I've watched since The X Files. I know they're two very different genre's, but the writing on both was fantastic.
  2. Blade Runner is still one of my favorites. It might be the only movie I have seen, with the exception of "The Wrestler" with Mickey Rourke, where the scenery is just as important as the dialogue. Best B R scene:
  3. "You can't swing a dead cat without hitting a _______" Fill in the blank. Meant to imply that there is too much of something around in close proximity than there should be.. It's more weird than annoying, but still. I guess it's the imagery.
  4. I consider myself a homebody. I would rather stay in than go out. It's weird, because the work I enjoy the most keeps me outside most of the time.
  5. Those early lineups set the bar high. Too high, some would say, because no other season produced as much talent. Wasn't Eddie the first cast member to go into movies?
  6. On one hand, I kind of like the idea where the weather can make you feel like the end of the world is right around the corner. On the other hand, that's got to mess with your head after awhile.
  7. Just goes to show that if you get the attention of the public, television will find a place for you. I have no problem with that, but that's why I don't watch a lot of television. I stay close to quality and you don't find a lot that anymore.
  8. A person employed by Facebook to scan the site for offensive or illegal activity. Think of the stuff people post that we never see. I don't want to get paid for having to view things most others don't have the stomach for.
  9. I wasn't bothered by it, I was just wondering why an in-shape woman needs one. She doesn't have a gym membership? If people have that kind of money to spend, more power to 'em.
  10. From Wikipedia: "Aromatherapy is a pseudoscience based on the usage of aromatic materials, including essential oils, and other aroma compounds, with claims for improving psychological or physical well-being." So if you want to get technical, the smell of coffee in the morning is a form of aromatherapy. The psychological well-being aspect being that you're feeling better knowing the coffee is on the way. That being the case, yes, I practice aromatherapy every morning.
  11. Nothing can replace a physical book. I think there will always be a need for libraries and I do visit my local one about once a month just to keep the routine going.
  12. One person can only do so much. But if 1 billion people, individually, each do something then it's a collective. So if one billion people individually do something and then say "It's not enough", they are discounting all the others and what they do. I think we need to stop thinking that our efforts are not enough. If I were the only one planting a tree, sure, that wouldn't be enough. But I have to stop and realize that i million other people are doing the same thing.

    Remote Viewing

I don't know if I would call that "psychic" or not. I always thought of that term in regards to a time-line. Like seeing into the past or future. "Remote viewing" infers locations.
  14. Interesting. Remember that scene where that one girl is walking home from work with him, she turns around and asks him "If you cared for me so much, why did you leave me here to rot?" To me, that was a powerful scene, but it might have actually done better with Depp. He just has that "look", you know?

    Remote Viewing

It's just wishful thinking on the part of the government. They seem to waste so much time and money on things like this just to get an "edge" on an enemy.
  16. They say those 3 wins were as an amateur. That would help explain no footage to be found. Lucky for the losers I guess. But yeah.....he wasn't throwing punches as much as he was just flailing his arms. That's what it looked like to me.
  17. The music industry all over again. Who needs to pay for CD's when you can free-stream? It's the same thing really and there will be a market for both types of gamers, I'm sure.
  18. We'll let you decide: Some of the comments are just plain brutal. But have any of you heard of Jimmy Smith before? I don't know how old that clip is, but it has to be at least 30 years old.
  19. Monica and Chandler from Friends. That looked and felt as awkward as awkward can be. Joey and Phoebe would have been perfect though. Their personalities were so much alike in my opinion. They got Ross and Rachael right though. That pairing reminded me so much of Sam and Diane from Cheers. Classic.

    Board Games

In this highly electronic day and age, who plays good, old-fashioned board games? Monopoly, Risk, Twixt........these were some of the ones I grew up playing. Do you play?
  21. Brutal. Just.........Brutal. I actually have never owned an I-phone, so I can't comment on the comparisons because I don't know what they are. I'm just used to Androids.
  22. That's not a bad idea at all. Apply that to anything else that hurts the environment and the market will eventually decide the fate of those materials.
  23. Which begs the question......what is the upgrade aside from a higher number? I personally don't trust the facial recognition tech. yet because it's still so new so that upgrade isn't appealing to me. Good thing I'm an Android kind of guy.
  24. I'm allergic to vain people who have no personal attributes to back up that vanity. Whenever I'm around one, my left eye twitches. LOL Other than that, I can't think of anything I'm allergic to.
  25. It is about half and half for me. I do talk radio a lot, so I alternate between the big city station and pod-casts. Saved channels on Podbeam to be specific.
