  1. I said anyone on the roster. But if Kurt was back on the roster, I'd fully expect him to be working a Brock schedule and doing and saying what he wanted to, and for the same reason : because he doesn't need to do anything else. Still, Kurt's gold medal is both more and less impressive, depending on your viewpoint. Yes, it's an Olympic gold, but greco-roman wrestling is a far less impressive sport to win a championship in than MMA, even in a thin division. So, you're the best greco-roman guy, congrats, oh, you just got creamed by a Gracie, or knocked out by someone with a solid standup game or your jaw broken by a kick you have no idea how to defend against from a muay thai expert.
  2. People always bitch, fact is Lesnar has held more quality gold than anyone on the roster. By that I mean both that he held wrestling gold when that still meant something (admittedly, right near the end of that era), and that he held UFC gold, something the people who bitch dare not even dream about. Simple as this, Lesnar does what he wants to, because he doesn't need to do any more. Anyone who says they love the road is either a newbie or straight up lying. I did a similar thing (and by similar, I mean probably half as much driving and hotel rooms, which is still twice as much as you'd want) in a different industry for almost 5 years. I loved the job itself, but the constant travel and staying away was the drizzling shits.
  3. Assassins Creed Syndicate. It's pretty good, the rope gun is a welcome addition, a pity you can't do some bonkers Just Cause style tethering, but it makes sense, I suppose.
  4. Interesting chart contrasting US gun deaths with deaths caused by terrorists. http://www.vox.com/2015/10/1/9437187/obama-guns-terrorism-deaths There could be a few more interesting statistics on that chart too, for balance purposes, like, say foreign civilians killed by the US military in the same period. Need a bigger chart though.
  5. The simple fact is that the second amendment is no longer fit for purpose, since it's specifically intended to allow a militia of the people to overthrow the federal government... a circumstance which the government will never, ever allow to happen now. They'd all be thrown in prison as terrorists or dumped in black sites.
  6. http://edition.cnn.com/2015/10/01/us/oregon-college-shooting/index.html?ts_pid=2&utm_content=inf_10_413_2 God damn, it's happened again... Also, it seems he posted threats to 4chan the night before and was egged on. It'll be interesting to see if any criminal charges are brought against them.
  7. Premiers on 31st of October, which is appropriate for a horror comedy. Also, in the horror comedy vein, Scream Queens is pretty good.
  8. In the comics, she's got the 3 standard powers : flight, strength, durability, but she's definitely not invulnerable. Not sure about the series.
  9. Right now : Terminator Die Hard Highlander Robocop Lethal Weapon Five minutes form now, who knows, there are so many to choose from.
  10. The more it changes the more it stays the same. We're our own worst enemy and everything we try to do against our enemies not only fails, but only ever earns us more enemies and makes the situation worse. Seriously, look up the actual history of the middle east with the US and UK. No need to go back to the Crusades, the last 150 ~ 200 years is bad enough.
  11. Repeating the same action, over and over and expecting different results is madness. We chopped the head off Al Qaeda and the Taliban, and got ISIS as a bigger problem. When/if we break ISIS, whatever emerges then will be an even bigger problem until eventually we've got the whole of the middle east wanting us dead. So fighting them looks like a real solid plan... The real problem isn't even the organisation, it's the ideas it represents. It would be a shit load harder to radicalise people here if it weren't so easy to convince them we were waging an unjust war on Islam. There's a reason they feel like that, and our war efforts like Abu Ghraib, Gitmo, unlawful detention, "collateral damage" from drone strikes, Apache gunships slaughtering civilians etc. don't exactly prove them wrong. Tell me, we're at more risk or less risk now, after our intervention, than we were before it? Yes, a requirement many other NATO countries don't meet. As you think we should be spending more, what exactly should we be spending that money on? The only serious threat, militarily speaking, is China. And they wouldn't need a war to get Europe to tow the line.
  12. To be fair, the separate train carriages was an idea he wanted to discuss with womens' leaders, not something he wanted to implement. The defence budget needs cutting, we spend more than freaking Germany. 2% of GDP goes to defense and the only active war we're fighting is the "War on Terror", which basically serves the same purpose as the "war" in 1984. It can't be won because it's against a perpetual threat. The more we try to win it, the worst it becomes because we inevitably make even more enemies, it's a classic case of the hydra. On a tangent, why we bother with ridiculously expensive next gen manned fighters or bombers, I really don't understand. They're stupidly expensive and not really any better than the previous planes except, maybe, at stealth. Convert existing jets (the F16 would be my choice) to remote controlled or semi-autonomous drones and build loads more because they're much, much cheaper than next gen planes. For the cost of a single Eurofighter, we could buy and drone-ify 4-5 F16's. Hell, make it 3. I can still tell you which side is going to win. And when the F16's kill the Eurofighter, we also loose the pilot we spent millions training too. It's just dumb.
  13. We really need a proper, viable, slightly left of centre party. Or maybe even just a proper centre party, instead of the right wing tories and the not quite as right wing new labour. I actually like Corbyn, and some of the things he does and stands for, but he is too far to the left and his key positions would be a disaster for the country if he was elected as PM. He'd tank the economy back to 3 day weeks, unending strikes etc, and the reality is that modern business doesn't just have to live with it, they'll move elsewhere. And the thought of having a man who supports homeopathy in charge of the NHS sends chills down my spine. It's called being so open-minded, your brain has fallen out.

    What would you do???

I've actually calmed down a lot in my old age. Not bothered by money or possessions any more (not really because I have more, just because having stuff is nice but not necessary) but don't fuck with my peeps. And yes, my cats are also my peeps. In fact, my cats are better people than most people. I say likely, but it depends. If it's an accident and they own up to it, then I have no problem with it. If it's an accident and they lie about it, they'll live to regret lying about it. If they deliberately kill my cat, they're fair game. To clarify, if someone ran over a pet, I'd grass them up. If they've got a bunch of PS4's that fell off a lorry, I don't care. One is a personal crime with an actual victim, the other is an economic crime where the victim is a soulless corporation which makes massive profits. Also, I like Benoit's work and Ambrose is decent too.

    What would you do???

Um, best not to include pets when you're calling a crime minor. If someone killed my cat, there would likely be a homicide. Oh, and the reward money would make no difference.

    What would you do???

Hypothetically speaking, anything I consider a crime, yes. That's about 90 - 95% of criminal offences. Anything else, I have no knowledge of, nor do I want such knowledge nor can I hear any such knowledge being imparted, evidence clearly not being shown because I can't see it, etc.

    Hottest movie stars?

See, I'd have put Kirsten B, SMG, Eliza D, Felicia D, Amanda T, Teri H and Catherine B all into the TV group, not film actresses (though, ofc, they have done films too.). I'd have thrown in Alyson Hannigan too.

    What's you worst injury?

Aside from a back which intermittently goes from vague pain to "shit, have I been stabbed?", I've not had much. No broken bones so far, and not from a lack of trying when I was younger. I've done all sorts to myself, including falling out a tree and hitting every branch on the way down as a kid, but I seem to get away with it. I've jinxed myself now, I'll be dead of septicaemia from a broken leg in 6 months... I knocked a tooth out falling out the top bunk when I was a kid, which was about the worst. I also have a habit of getting minor cuts and injuries as a side effect of my job, but they're ignorable. Oh, and I took the tip of my thumb off with a Stanley knife once.

  24. Not sure about kangaroo, but ostrich must be partially cooked before it can be imported to the UK, which could account for the issues. The things you learn watching a random episode of The Box...

    Constantine TV series

That actually opens a lot of doors for them to move to the more mystical characters in Arrow, which they've been doing a bit anyway. In my opinion, that direction sucks because I liked the "realism" of the first few seasons, but it's still a good show and if they have to go that way, then involving Constantine makes it much more palatable.
