  1. Yikes, that's terrible.
  2. He played... ... which makes him an interesting choice to me. I think he could possibly do it well, and make him being black less of a talking issue... because he could actually do a really good job of it. Hm, yeah, intruiging.
  3. Who decided that this guy should be able to make his own album after what he did?

    Electric Guitars AHOY!

... but for a second hand, lower end, beaten up electric... the price is really quite negotiable. Something around £40 may even be agreed, you never know.
  5. The world's highest paid player is........ Wayne Bridge. I hate the excessive money in football; for me, it's ruining the game completely.

    Electric Guitars AHOY!

Which guitars should I look out for? It depends what you're wanting to pay, and how much cash you've got. If you want to play blues or lighter rock, perhaps look at getting a Squier. If you're a rock / metal head, maybe a lower end Ibanez. Have a look at GAK.com, it's a brilliant site for guitars. How much does a E-guitar cost? It varies. For top of the line stuffs you're talking thousands..... but don't worry, for a beginner, and someone who's looking for something basic to start with and thrash around... you should be able to get something for under £200. Maybe even one of those starter packs that comes with an amp and cable etc. Do I need to be able to read music notes? Not standard, proper musical notation, no. You'll learn tablature, the guitarists own musical laguage. It's damned easy to pick up, anyone can read it once they know what represents what. Good internet sites for learning? www.justinguitar.com. Brilliant, completely free lessons by an amazing teacher. I swear by this guy, his videos and lessons pushed me to keep going and playing when the frustrations were building up and I nearly called it quits. His stuff is clear, concise, and usually with a hint of humour. It's fun learning with Justin...and it really, actually is. Go with him.
  7. Now I'm online and this tosspot isn't - bloody typical!

    The Gig Thread

Tickets are still available, have a look see. :)
  10. Scream 3. Better than I remember, but also makes me think they can't do the proposed fourth installment... the story wrapped up pretty damn well. It'll be a stretch to bring it back.

    The Gig Thread

2009 is here and now; what gigs are you going to? I'll be hitting Birmingham Barfly later this month for Shinedown. Yup, I got bitten by the concert bug and despite obstacles that have appeared in my way, I am determined to hit this gig. And yeah, DraVen is going too. We'll be sharing a hotel room.
  12. Ha! I missed out last year, but in 2009 - I am the thread making king!

    HAPPY NEW YEAR!

    Happy 2009 everybody, woo!
  14. Yesterday I went shopping in Doncaster and bought myself a pair of jeans, a top and a jumper. I got the first two items from Primark (I felt dirty just going in), and the latter from Blue Inc in the FrenchGate shopping centre. Not bad at all. Managed to avoid Darkstar too; score! ;)
  15. I just want to be involved too.

    Football Manager 2009

It's heart breaking how quickly form can turn around. This season I went on a CRAZY 12 game winning streak, but before that I was shakey, and now after it - at the crucial point - I'm shakey again. So I'm still fighting to win the league... which is actually pretty exciting. Also, on my team report page (where the assistant manager gives you his verdict on the team), mine ALWAYS says I will need to strengthen the team to achieve my goals. No matter what I do... it's always that. Does that just mean I don't have enough depth? Like, two players for each position, or what?

    Football Manager 2009

Good idea, but I think I'll still keep it. At the moment I'm loving my FM07 game with my created team, but when that ends, or maybe even while it's still going I'll start a proper game on FM09. I'll manage a proper team though, not create my own. When I create my own, I love that sense of comfort and intimacy I have with FM07. If I'm managing any old team, I won't care about that, so FM09 will be fine. And I won't care when I get fired, so I'll be able to manage a few teams from all over the place... which I haven't done on any FM game for ages. Until then, FM07 for the win! Nearing the end of my second season. Tom Craddock did replicate his form, although slightly less prolific.... but then he broke his leg. :(
  18. ...and at this point Nimf was courting MG and they were housing with BRM, who lived next door to TGO's cousin, Burakio. Christof stopped by, obviously, and this is when DraVen walked in randomly, as did Nicole. So they start going at it, and Colin's sat in the next room, and then Saz wrestled them all and broke some necks. Nicole was unhappy because DraVen was looking at a naked picture of lafdugga whilst they did it, so Nicole now hates meet ups. Meanwhile, Miss T chased Drake, because he's a sexy bastard. And that's EXACTLY what happened. Oh yes. I was watching it all through my telescope.

    Football News

Definitely. At the most he probably acted in self defense.
  20. Today, after a nice long shower, I intend to begin and complete the second draft of my case study for college. And then, come evening, I have to go to work. Yup.
  21. I think when your post 'challenges' somebody, as it were, they'll instinctively read it from a defensive point of view. Hell, we've all done it...
  22. Or... people compliment because, hey, it's what they think. And they're secure enough to be able to do so without the entanglement of all that jazz you're talking about.

    The Results Thread

Awesome result, but why didn't he play Keane!? He's scored in the last couple of games, so Rafa should keep playing him to keep his form going! When you're in and out of the squad no matter how well you do... well, I don't expect him to bang home many. Or even stay content at the club. I'd be pissed if I scored two... and then got dropped. That aside, it's great to see us winning so convincingly - and without Torres!
