  1. Folks should check out yesterdays episode of The Daily Show for a surprising representation of our favourite form of sports entertainment.
  2. So far this has been great guys, btw. In case you didn't know or aren't watching or something. How quick did those fans turn on poor Kaitlyn though? "Woo, great match... AHHH, YOU TAPPED OUT!!" Is this the Dubya' trying to mess with the smart fans a bit by having Del Rio really play on Ziggler's concussion?
  3. I'm pretty sure DC (the comic makers and not our resident pedant) has spoken about how the Nolan Batman films aren't going to play into the JLA universe. Like, Bale isn't going to be back to direct (he's stayed on as a producer but that seems to be so advertising can brag "produced by CHRISTOPHER NOLAN the DIRECTOR of THE DARK KNIGHT TRILOGY") and people were flipping their lids because they assumed Jo-Go Levitt was going to be Bats in the JLA film but that, at the time of release, was untrue as well because they just threw the cheeky reveal in there to mess with the fans. I'm not 100% but it seems likely because, if the Nolan films were going to play into it then DC certainly would have announced official plans for JLA (release dates for their pre-JLA films, some casting maybe) with Dark Knight Rises release last year instead of flailing in the water like they are just now. To consider that they are talking about 2015 and going head-to-head with Avengers 2 and yet have announced NOTHING official is crazy, especially when you compare to Marvel's Phase 2 (and even Phase 1). With all that in mind I'm expecting, with a huge opening weekend for MoS for DC to come out soon after announcing everything including a new, tone-correcting Batman film that steps away from Nolan's universe. Because, as Hancock says, the Nolan films make no sense in a JLA universe. None at all. As it is with Man of Steel, I'm incredibly sceptical but boy-oh-boy do I like Michael Shannon. I mean, holy moly would I marry that man. He's absolutely one of the greatest things since sliced bread and I've tried sliced bread. Plus I like the music a lot so far especially the march-y "You are not a-lone" beat that appeared in the "Fate of your planet" trailer.
  4. Man - getting his own back on his dad :')!! That's it - the Revolution begins on Monday!!
  5. That depended for me - there are some great times where he just throws them round and nearly kills 'em, but yeah, I know exactly what you mean. It's the type of move that I imagine there's a Japanese guy out there doing a thousand times better!
  6. Two words fur ya' - EDGE'S SPEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR! Awful to the day he left.
  7. Nine months eh? Baby time nine months? I say that with no reason for assuming it.
  8. :tban :celb8: :jump CAN'T WAIT, CAN'T WAIT, CAN'T WAIT :jump :celb8: :tban They say it in ways I can't even begin to put into words.
  9. And I'm willing to put good money Scott Steiner's got something to do with it.
  10. Yeah, totally agree with this. Then Fighting Spirit - which admittedly I haven't read in ages cause, well, there's the internet - was just SO anti-WWE it was embarrassing. Uch, personal tastes and all that but they're totally moronic.
  11. Sad and happy to hear about Pope. He deserves better so I'm glad he'll almost certainly end up getting it, just sad that it won't be in a wrestling ring. Glad, most of all, that the Joe stuff will be winding up. Thank goodness. Thank, thank goodness.
  12. :') Number 13 is anything but unlucky baby. Great, great, great. The 'woo woo woo' headband over his sombrero - brilliant :lol.
  13. I'll concur with that - the name is ridiculously 80s but I love it, I love the gimmick and I've really enjoyed his nasty side since the 3D split!!
  14. Abyss sort of uses it as the first part to his Shock Treatment move. Sometimes held it up for a while longer in a torture rack before dropping.
  15. I don't really care about GTA or SR :P.
  16. I really, really, REALLY enjoyed this show. I loved that all the way through the show there were loads of teases to spots you've come to expect and then they'd throw you a curve ball. Just great. Christian winning was pretty wonderful - you could really tell it meant a lot to him and it makes ALL the difference. Really chuffed for him. Only major problem I have was Cole going over. Just moronic. Even up to that point though I'd been having loads of fun with that match, so it's a shame they killed it completely with the decision. Even the tag title match which was pointless was short enough, along with Big Show's impressive big bump, to make me not hate it. I spent ages trying to work out who all the lumberjacks were and genuinely couldn't name most of them... oh dear me. As somebody else said, it was a great "oh look, we actually have a whole bunch of pretty f*cking talented young guys in the company". The video to Rhodes/Mysterio was amazing to - got me soooooooo psyched for it :). Very glad I went for it, yeah.
  17. I really like the "kHARMa" logo they had for her - oooh, yeah, 'citing!! Could, maybe, they be heading towards unifying the belts with the weird move around of champs? I know there was talk about it earlier in the year so maybe it's time to start bringing them all together?
  18. See, just to go on with Scotty - what I REALLY liked was that every time somebody was drafted they then had the person or opponent doing a wee promo saying "YASS! All I have to do is beat you at ER and then I never have to see your stupid f*cking face again" - thought that was great all the way through.
  19. Ryder was tweeting last night that he hoped to get drafted to "Either Raw or Smackdown from Superstars". My fingers are crossed for him.
  20. Oh-oh, Orton just used the Angle Slam and so Kurt threatened his ex's life...
