  1. I enjoyed it. I wasn't expecting fantastic undercard matches, as I've come to enjoy the spectacle and razmatazz of Wrestlemania. Heck, even Funkasaurus calling his mama put a smile on my face (and Stone Cold's tweet saying he called his mama to tell her he was very confused was excellent also). Triple H vs Taker was best match of the night for me, followed by Punk vs Jericho, and I'm glad Johnny didn't interefere and cost Punk the title. Rock vs Cena was a bit slow, and as Rocky said on his new dvd, if you watched it with the sound off it would be goddamn awful, but you could tell the crowd were hot and into it. I was genuinely shocked Rock run as I had convinced myself it would be another passing of the torch match, with Rock giving it to Cena. However, this was Miami bitches! Not sure if Machine Gun Kelly (who looks like a proper hick by the way) helped Cena's cause by calling him an underdog and calling Rock the ego, but screw it, I like that song. Also, love the fact they gave Miz the pin, they need to build him now as a believable heel. Damn, Ziggler can sell. That monkey flip sell remined me of the old school Jannetty clothesline sell To sum, a decent Wrestlemania as I was entertained thoroughly and saw some great matches. I just hope that greek Maria gets Glam Slammed on her face on the steel steps tonight on RAW.
  2. Wrestlemania VII baby! Nasty Boys beating the Hart Foundation for the tag titles that lead to Bret branching out as a singles competitor, the Blindfold which kinda sucked but was awesome at the same time as Jake Roberts was an excellent story teller, Savage-Warrior retirement match with Savage taking back Elizabeth at the end, Undertake starting the streak, The Rockers kicking it off with a 'Light' version of Warrior's entrance theme. Kerry Von Erich, Davey Boy, LOD squash match and the epic Hogan v Slaughter main event, with Hogan blading (I think so anyway), enduring the Camel Clutch and then kicking General Adnan's ass and Hulking up and tearing Slaughter a new one when he tried to pin him whilst covering him with the Iraqi flag at the height of the Gulf War. Awesome. Warrior returning at WM VIII made me go nuts, Fuji talcing Hitman at IX still pisses me off and I still laugh at JR's commentary at WM XVII when Austin turned Heel on The Rock. Still baffled as to why you would try to turn Austin heel in Texas

  4. What way are WWE trynig to go with Cena's scathing promos? They seem to be getting more cutting and sinister
  5. Didn't his security shoot someone in India recently? How over is Jinder?
  6. I did think, 'damn' when Santino was eliminated there, but hey, this is the WWE, random stuff happens and Wade is big enough to deal with the pain.
  7. I think Bryan will drop at Elimination Chamber to Orton and we'll get Seamus v Orton at 'Mania with a handshake after the match whoever wins....just don't see WWE giving both Punk and Bryan championship matches with both as champions at 'Mania
  8. I didn't liek the finish to the Cage match, Cena v Kane never really got started but it's always nice to see a tombstone. I thought Punk v Ziggler had a few good spots and they teased the Laurinitus screw job a few times enough. A for the rumble match, i was enjoying it but missed half of it due to someone pausing it at the start on sky + (i was in a shisha cafe watching it) and then sky + glitching and moving back to real time, thus cutting out 20 mins of the rumble match. Damn, that was hard to write. Question now, who will Ginger face? If they go with Punk v Jericho for 'mania then will Bryan drop to Orton at the Chamber and we'll have Seamus v Orton/Show/Henry? The road to Wrestlemania has begun and I am excited like a little kid!
  9. Kurt Angle and the Edge/Christian skits on RAW were amazing... The Chicken Suit, The Birthday Party...ahhh, comedy gold
  10. Do you have something against Angle? Sounds like he ran over your dog or something with the tone you are using. Yes, he is beat up and probably wouldn't get in the team, but you just tore strips off him like a wallpaper stripper!
  11. These bits of Bobby Heenan genius from Bret vs Mr Perfect at Summerslam '91... (To Piper, Summerslam 1991) "I heard a rumour that your mom and dad ran away from home." (In reference to Stu and Helen Hart in attendance, Summerslam 1991) "You know why they're nervous? They snuck in. They're looking out for the usher." (During IC title match, Summerslam 1991) Brain: Don't touch that referee Perfect! Gorilla: Why? A disqualification will save his title. Brain: Okay...then nail him!
  12. - Mankind morphing into Cactus Jack and storming the ring with HHH & Steph crapping their pants - Mr Perfect calling Bobby Heenan a 'Wet Weasel' and pouring water over him from a jug still sticks with me
  13. Thing with Punk is, how many other watchers of WWE, bar the wrestling enthusiasts, know about Punk's background in ROH when he had the blonde hair etc....having a slow build where Punk was missing for a while, showing up in the Indies with the belt would have been good for some of us (ala Cactus Jack Lost in Cleveland, ridiculous but fun), but not for the majority who would have stopped watching the product. They could have built the angle back in the olden days when WWE wasn't such a global brand with as many viewers, shows, merchandise sales etc... but I think they cut the angle short the way they did to keep the interests of the more casual viewers.
  14. Maybe I'm just much more easily pleased? I think the booking has been not too bad. I do think Punk was brought back too quickly onto TV, but I guess WWE have to look at the bigger picture with regards to the more casual viewer and keeping them (and thus ratings) high....rather than keeping the hardcore internet fans happy
  15. To be honest, after the reaction he got in his hometown, it was always going to be downhill.....and I'm sure they must have extended his contract in advance before he won the belt at MITB. There is no way Vince was going to risk Punk doing an Alundra Blaze with the WWE title....
  16. - I more or less finished Ocarina of Time whilst reading the Walkthrough on Gamefaqs
  17. Agreed entirely. He was not a 'waste of space' and didn't 'fail at all levels', because of the 3 facts you've rightly pointed out. I didn't like the way he had the lights at a different setting for his matches though
  18. Then that is their opinion. You could probably argue your case very well to prove that Sin Cara is not a waste of space and doesn't fail at all levels though and make the other person review their opinions. Generally though, comments like 'waste of space' and 'fails at all levels' are sweeping statements made without throwing caution to the wind.
  19. Right here. Right here. Is that not the beauty of being an individual? Not liking the same thing as everyone else and being able to debate it and discuss it?
