  1. Out of all the millions who watched the segment, how many would have known it was a dig at Meltzer? Not a great deal, Punk knows that and maybe that's why he chose to do it on RAW. He lashed out at Dave on a worldwide stage, he knew Dave would know he was getting at him, but also knew a huge percentage of people would have no idea. Good job Punk! The message board stuff is a direct consequence of the internet being what it is nowadays. Using it to better yourself as a heel, get more material for promos etc.. can only be a good thing. I'm really enjoying his work with Heyman, and knowing the history they have together makes it even more satisfying to me seeing them on the top segments. Saying that, I am a huge Punk mark, so I see nothing wrong with what he did and disagree with you totally, but that's why we have these boards right? To chew the proverbial fat and see/hear other people's points of view and disagree with them :D
  2. Punk's promo was great. Telling people to turn off was great, as he knew they wouldn't. It's like the ending to Ben Elton's Popcorn, where there is a hostage situation being broadcast live on TV and the kidnapper says he will let the hostages walk free if everyone turns off their TV. I'm Pro Punk though, so of course I'm going to be biased :) I loved that he called out Meltzer on his Twitter and has abused him before. Probably the reason why I love watching Zlatan Ibrahimovic. They are extremely talented at what they do, but they also lash out and do stupid things and it entertains me dammit :D
  3. You can find one individual interesting and follow them. Maybe when WWE was going through the Hogan/Bret/HBK/HHH phases there were also a bunch of disgruntled fans who grew up loving a different product, who then grew to dislike the eras I just mentioned. They just didn't have access to the wealth of information we have nowadays
  4. Ryback is flavour of the month. And that flavour is cookie dough. Next month people will move onto fudge brownie mixture.
  5. He was an average promo guy at best, but solid in the ring and his moves looked great when performed. Never got the chance to see much of Bret in WCW, but making him join NWO was just horrible. Now, Mr. Perfect was great at Promos and matched (if not bettered) Bret's in ring work. Their match at Summerslam is still one of my all time favourites. In fact, Curt Hennig should be on that list purely for 'Rap is Crap'
  6. Seeing Seamus v Barrat the other day on RAW really hammered home this conversation for me. 2 big guys who you wouldn't wanna mess with at all who could obliterate Punk/Miz with one eye shut
  7. damn, once upon a time it was an honour to be clocked by a wrestler
  8. Unless he headbutts Nash in the nuts first....because that's the only place he can reach on Nash
  9. I could never buy Rey Mysterio as Heavywight Champ, it justdidn't feel right. Even when he rolled up Kevin Nash for the pin in WCW one time just felt wrong...
  10. sweet cheeses, is this clown still around? can we get one of the dudes from Supernatural to put down ADC?
  11. Angle v Beniot at WM 17, great match. And giving the Chicken suit to Christian.
  12. Never forget that Hogan jobbed to The Genius once, even if it was a count out because of outside interference... I wonder what the logic was behind that? Can anyone chime in?
  13. That you rise to the bait like a maggot?
  14. I'd like to believe it though, and the fact that he then went on to endorse a blender.
  15. Hogan would have a lot more money if he had picked up that phone call re: the George Foreman Grill (if what he says is correct)
  16. F**k reading 7 pages. Is it a form of wrestling? Yes? Is it one I care for? No.
  17. The original question was 'most important to you' For me, it was Hogan as WM VII was the first WWE event I watched which caused my love affair with Wrestling to begin. Yes, there are wrestlers who place above Hogan on my personal list now, but Hogan is the most important to me because it was HIS main event that made me want to continue watching WWE. Picture this.... I was 10, had no real idea about who the characters were and their history or the story lines, but then you had Hogan (America) vs Slaughter (Iraq), and when you were 10 in 1991 (in the UK), America was good and Iraq was bad, because America had Disneyland and Hulk Hogan and Iraq had Sadam Hussein and Sgt. Slaughter. (Yes, I know NOW that Slaughter was merely sympathising with Iraq on account of the storyline, but I was 10 at the time dammit). Cue an epic battle, Hogan is hit with a chair, busted open, put in the camel clutch and then has the Iraqi flag draped over him and attempted to be pinned, then the Hulk up occurs and I'm going batpoop crazy, jumping up and down as this bloodied beefcake starts beating on this evil Sergeant. Boot, leg drop, posing with flag, hand cupped to the ear, real american playing in the background...Epic. So yeh, Hogan is the most important to me. I'm not even going down the 'but what if I had seen someone else first' route, because I had seen some WCW and British guys (Big Daddy, Bulldog Blacky, Giant Haystacks etc...) but they don't even come close to the effect Hogan had on me. If we're going down the 'most important to the wrestling business' route, then Hogan again. No question about it. Bazinga.
  18. I need to watch the HHH - Brock match again. It seemed too slow paced and didn't build quickly enough, even though it was the right result and how Brock should have been booked since he came back. Anyone else notice Piers Morgan behind the announce table? he was tweeting pictures throughout the night!
  19. Looking forward to downloading this tonight...think I'll watch HHH v Brock first. Was that HHH's swansong or will we see him again? He jobbed clean and he tapped! What would be worse for his ego do you think, tapping or getting pinned for the 3? Looks as though he put his ego aside for the good of building Brock, but I can't see Brock breaking the streak... Ohhhh, what do I know anyway... I just wanna download it and see HHH get beat down by Brock!
  20. Marion Coulthard doesn't really suit action films...
  21. I remember Blake being there at the reading of the will (the mentioning the missing pearls which is a nice touch), then picking up his stuff. Were the map and coordinates in the bag he picked up? We see more of Jonathan Crane in this film than The Dark Knight though, which is good as I like watching Cillian Murphy.
